Chapter 1088: Tarren Mill (Second Update)
The next day, Tarren Mill.
After the fierce battles of the first day, many players had already reached the level 25-30 range.
Of course, only the most gifted batch of quest fanatics could reach this level. Although the early levels of World of Warcraft were quick to gain, the pace noticeably slowed down in the mid-to-late stages. Even if everyone spent roughly the same amount of time playing, the level gap would still widen rapidly.
For most players, World of Warcraft was like a gateway to a new world—everything was novel. Many players didn’t even have the urge to grind levels frantically. They just took in the scenery, did quests, killed some monsters, and leveled up at their own pace.
Moreover, how to level up was a technical skill. Without a deep understanding of the game, it was actually hard to plan a very efficient leveling route, and a lot of time was wasted just running around.
See a cave over there? Go in and check it out.
See a mountain over there? Climb up and take a look.
Kill a few monsters, and your bags are full. Can’t bear to throw away the junk items, so run back to sell them to a shop.
See an NPC? Talk to them. In World of Warcraft, leveling was completely different from other games. Relying solely on killing monsters for experience gave negligible gains, and even grinding dungeons didn’t necessarily speed things up. Efficiently clearing quests was the best choice.
Zou Zhuo’s Tauren was now fully geared up. After going through two dungeons, he had several blue-quality items, and the rest were green-quality mail armor. His confidence was sky-high.
Just as he was grinding monsters, he felt a chill on his back. A Frostbolt slammed straight into his waist.
Zou Zhuo was shocked. What the hell?!
He saw two red “monsters” behind him attacking him—a Human Mage and a Night Elf Hunter.
The Mage’s name was: Dad Says Short Names Hide in Bushes So the Horde Won’t Find You, Very Safe.
The Hunter’s name was: Mom Says Long Names Hide in Bushes So the Horde Will Find You, Too Dangerous.
Zou Zhuo was completely dumbfounded. What kind of monsters were these two?!
