Chapter 1086: Isn't the Dungeon Already Cleared? (Third Update)

If this giant turtle could understand human speech, it would probably feel a chill down its shell.

What a damn thoughtful design. Knowing that the warriors coming to farm the Wailing Caverns probably didn't have any decent shields, they deliberately placed this boss right at the entrance where everyone could see it. Now no one could complain about not having a shield.

The five of them went up and hacked away, directly chopping the giant turtle down.

Zou Zhuo felt the corpse: "Wow! There really is a blue shield! Hey, why can't I pick it up?"

The others noticed a dialog box appear in their field of vision: "What does this mean? Need? Greed?"

Old P suddenly understood: "Oh, so this is a group loot distribution mode. Not just anyone can pick up equipment; it has to be distributed by the group. Hey, damn it, how did the Shaman get it!"

Old P and the other two were a Mage, a Rogue, and a Hunter, none of whom could equip a shield, so the Need option was completely unclickable for them. Naturally, they couldn't compete with Zou Zhuo for it. But Lin Xue, as a Shaman Priestess, could equip a shield...

Then two prominent lines of text appeared in the chat log.

(Need) 1 point: [Kresh's Back] (Play for Me)
(Need) 98 points: [Kresh's Back] (Generous and Tolerant)

Generous and Tolerant won [Kresh's Back].

Generous and Tolerant received item [Kresh's Back].

Zou Zhuo: "???"

Lin Xue was also a bit confused: "Hey? How did it end up in my bag? I'm innocent! You all have to vouch for me, this equipment attacked me first..."

Old P was so angry he laughed: "This is... you clicked Need yourself!"

Lin Xue explained blankly: "Well, I *could* Need it... Hey, little fatty, don't cry, I'll give it to you right now."

They saw Lin Xue's Tauren female pull a huge shield out of her bag and hand it to the little fatty.

In Chen Mo's previous life, dungeon equipment in the 60 version couldn't be traded. It was only changed later so that equipment dropped in dungeons could be traded among party members within a certain time limit. This was a good change, so Chen Mo directly implemented it in this version.

Zou Zhuo happily took the shield from Lin Xue. This was the first blue item he had ever gotten.

But after equipping the shield, Zou Zhuo felt awkward. He had no weapon in his main hand...

Everyone: "..."

They saw Zou Zhuo's Tauren, tall and mighty, looking very reliable in his chainmail armor, holding a huge turtle-shell-shaped shield in his left hand, and... empty-handed in his right.

Lin Xue was speechless: "You... the quests gave you so many one-handed weapons, and you threw them all away?"

Zou Zhuo scratched his Tauren head very sheepishly: "Sorry, the weapons were worth quite a bit, so I kept a two-handed axe and sold the rest to the vendor. Otherwise, with skills being so expensive, how could I afford to learn them?"

At this point, the Hunter spoke up: "This game... you can learn skills?"

Everyone: "..."

Old P felt a wave of helplessness: "Alright, let's continue. Hey? What are you doing, Rogue?"

Everyone turned around and saw a faint green glow rising from the Rogue's hands, and then with a "whoosh" sound, he disappeared...

Old P: "???"

Zou Zhuo quickly asked in the party channel: "Rogue, where are you?"

Rogue: "Isn't the dungeon already cleared? I used my Hearthstone."

Lin Xue was shocked: "Cleared my ass! We just killed the first boss! Get back here!"

Rogue: "Oh, wait a minute."

There was no choice. What could they do with one person missing? They had to wait.

The four of them were perfectly suited to play a game of mahjong, but there was no mahjong here. Old P silently made some more food and water and distributed it to everyone.

The four sat on the ground, bored out of their minds.

Zou Zhuo pulled a magic dice out of his bag: "How about we play dice?"

The other three didn't want to acknowledge him.

Zou Zhuo started rolling by himself.

This magic dice was different from ordinary dice. Although it also had six faces, when rolled, each face would randomly display any number from 1 to 100. Whichever face ended up on top would show in the chat log what number the player had rolled.

Of course, the system only recognized the number when the dice stopped. If a player secretly nudged the dice, it wouldn't count.

Play for Me rolled 1 (1-100)
Play for Me rolled 12 (1-100)
Play for Me rolled 9 (1-100)

"Sigh... this is..."

Zou Zhuo was shocked. He had noticed it earlier when competing for the shield; it seemed his luck in this game called *World of Warcraft* wasn't very reliable...

Mainly, up until now, Zou Zhuo had found that *World of Warcraft* was a very fair, yet also very unfair, game.

Call it fair because the game was purely time-based subscription. There were no other messy monetization points. Even a whale couldn't find a way to spend money here.

It wasn't that a whale couldn't do better than others; they could hire people to run raids. But compared to games where you buy power or games you can't play without paying, whales in *World of Warcraft* basically had no privileges.

Call it unfair because the game seemed really unfriendly to unlucky players...

Getting equipment in normal dungeons required comparing dice rolls, and boss drops also depended on luck. If someone was truly unlucky, they would probably live a very miserable life in the world of Azeroth...

The four of them were making awkward small talk when Old P suddenly felt something was off.

Why was it taking so long? Why hadn't the Rogue returned yet?

Logically, it shouldn't take this long. The inn at the Crossroads was right outside the Wailing Caverns entrance. A Rogue didn't need to kill monsters; they could just Stealth their way in. Why was there no movement?

Old P opened the map and saw that the Rogue had just gotten off the airship at the Orgrimmar gate, apparently running all the way from Brill...

Everyone: "..."

Old P was shocked: "Damn, running all the way from Brill! Don't you know to bind your Hearthstone at the Crossroads inn!"

"What do we do?" Everyone looked at each other.

Lin Xue was very exasperated: "What else can we do? Go to the entrance and summon him. There's a Meeting Stone there."

The four of them gave up on their non-existent mahjong game and had to fight their way back out to summon the Rogue at the dungeon entrance.

Zou Zhuo didn't forget to instruct the Rogue: "Rogue, stop running. Wait for us to summon you. Go to Orgrimmar or a nearby village and find a weapon vendor to buy me a one-handed weapon! Yeah, a one-handed sword will do."

...

Meanwhile, in Westfall.

Chen Mo's Mage and Li Jingsi's Hunter were already at the entrance of the Deadmines, waiting to recruit people for a run.

As they were waiting, they saw two low-level characters frantically running into the Deadmines.

In front was a level 10 Mage, followed by a level 8 Paladin.

Logically, these two should have seen that the surrounding mobs were all red-named, but they showed no fear. They ran straight for the entrance, pulled a huge group of monsters, and met a glorious death.

Chen Mo and Li Jingsi just watched silently from the side.

What the hell were these two doing?
