Chapter 428: Training

The high ground wasn't much of a challenge. However, Jiang Hao still noticed some key differences between Overwatch and other FPS games.

The most obvious distinction was that the guns themselves had very little recoil, and the muzzle basically didn't drift around randomly.

Other FPS games generally aimed for maximum realism. During shooting, players would feel a very clear recoil vibration in their shoulders, and the muzzle would involuntarily rise upward. In other words, even if your aim and firing direction were perfectly aligned, you'd still shoot high.

So even in VR-based FPS games, you had to control the recoil.

In Overwatch, however, the recoil vibration was very mild, and there was basically no need to control it—or at most, only a tiny adjustment was required. This greatly improved Jiang Hao's shooting accuracy, with almost an entire magazine hitting the training bots.

Athena: "Well done. But please note, in actual combat, your enemies will be much harder to hit. Next, let me prepare some more challenging targets for you."

Soon, more training bots began appearing in the shooting range, and they were all constantly moving.

The system also prompted some basic information. For example, enemies would have a red outline around their bodies, and when you shot at them, a health bar would appear above their heads. Most weapons had limited ammo capacity and required reloading, and so on.

Additionally, the system informed Jiang Hao that he could use melee attacks to destroy enemies that were close by.

Next came the skill tutorials, including Helix Rockets, Biotic Field, Sprint, and Tactical Visor.

When he activated Tactical Visor, Jiang Hao's entire field of vision shifted slightly, as if he were truly looking through a high-tech visor.

While Tactical Visor was active, the weapon would automatically attack enemies within Jiang Hao's line of sight. He only needed to roughly adjust the general direction of his aim. This made the experience feel incredibly interesting to Jiang Hao.
