Chapter 423: The New Champions Zed and Jinx

Zed, with a sliver of health remaining, was pinned under his tower by a full-health Ryze. Just as Ryze was about to finish him off with a final Q skill, Zed suddenly vanished!

A massive black execution mark appeared on Ryze. Zed instantly materialized behind him, leaving a shadow in his original spot. Ignite, Shadow Slash, Razor Shuriken, followed by a basic attack—Zed completed the entire combo within a single second, then instantly returned to the safety of his tower, turning away with effortless grace.

Ryze, bearing a glaring blood mark, tried to escape the tower's attack range, but after a crisp explosion from the mark, he slumped to the ground.

The scene shifted. A full-health Jayce was chasing a low-health Zed. After firing an Acceleration Gate-enhanced Shock Blast, Zed's health dropped to less than one-fifth.

Jayce switched to his melee form, aiming to crush Zed with a single hammer blow. But the moment his Q skill struck, Zed sent a shadow directly forward and instantly swapped positions with it.

At the same time, Zed and his shadow both hurled their E and Q skills at Jayce, slowing him and knocking off nearly half his health.

Jayce pursued relentlessly, firing another cannon-form Q to finish Zed off. Zed dodged with a Flash, then unleashed Ignite, E, Q, and a basic attack in a fluid, seamless combo, instantly counter-killing!

More highlight reels followed: dodging skills by a hair's breadth, low-health counter-kills, long-distance dashes—Zed's dazzling maneuvers were displayed in all their glory.

The players below the stage were stunned, eyes glued to the big screen, occasionally bursting into gasps.

"Whoa, what the hell? He counter-killed with that little health?"

"I don't get it—how does this hero fly all over the place?"

"Feels so badass, killing without a trace?"

"Isn't this way too flashy? If you play him well, you can dodge every single skill clean!"

"That ID is really eye-catching: Silent... As always, Chen Mo quietly showed off again..."

The opening CG lasted only a minute, followed by over five minutes of actual gameplay footage. Of course, these gameplay clips were also recorded by Chen Mo himself, designed to make players fully realize how flashy this hero could be.

Soon, the video ended.

The players instantly erupted again: "Holy crap, this new hero seems so strong! Hurry up and open the PC demo area—I want to play!"

Chen Mo's voice drifted leisurely: "Don't rush. Showing just one CG isn't the Thunder Film Studio's style. There's more."

Everyone: "..."

Chen Mo wasn't wrong. There was indeed more.

After a brief black screen, the Thunder Interactive Entertainment logo reappeared on the big screen.

A slender hand in a leather glove was winding the key on the back of a monkey doll.

The scene shifted. A massive shark-shaped missile streaked across the sky, plummeting toward a distant city. Meanwhile, a slightly hoarse yet wildly mischievous female voice began to sing.

Blah blah blah blah.
What we need here, is a little bit of panic!

Amid the sinister singing and laughter, the camera zoomed in. A slender female hero was riding atop the giant shark missile, gazing excitedly toward the distant city.

This new hero had blue hair tied into two long pigtails at the back, pale blue bullet tattoos on her skin, and various bullets hanging all over her.

In a long underground tunnel, Jinx finally turned around for the first time, flashing a wicked smile at the camera, then lightly bit her lip.

"Wow!!"

The audience below instantly erupted in screams.

Wild shooting, riding a carousel, dancing with a broken puppet, blowing up airships...

Explosions erupted everywhere across the city, like countless fireworks bursting. Jinx looked around and revealed a satisfied smile.

Finally, in the ruins of the city, a giant monkey doll rose up, and Jinx's dream abruptly ended.

She looked at the monkey doll on her table, raised her right hand, and made a "gun" gesture.

"Bang!!"

With the sound of a gunshot, the entire video came to an abrupt halt. The screen displayed the *League of Legends* logo, but it was quickly defaced with pink graffiti: JINX.

As soon as this video ended, the players below the stage were all thrilled.

"Ahhhh, is this new hero an ADC? She's absolutely gorgeous!"

"She's my wife! Draw your swords, everyone!"

"Oh my god, the new hero is a loli! As a loli lover, I'm fully satisfied!"

"Flat chests are justice!"

"My loli is a masterpiece!"

"Don't stop me! I'm going to play the loli!"

Sure enough, as soon as these two CG clips were released, they instantly ignited the entire venue!

Several audience members in the front rows, clearly loli enthusiasts, could barely contain themselves.

Zed is one of the flashiest heroes in *League of Legends*, a classic figure elevated to legendary status by players. The first video's dazzling Zed plays opened everyone's eyes.

Jinx, on the other hand, is one of the most popular female characters in *League of Legends*. This CG and the song "Get Jinxed" are both considered classics.

The new version of *League of Legends* had been in preparation for a long time. Both videos were completed in advance, and the track "Get Jinxed" was recorded with great effort by hiring a foreign singer to preserve its original flavor as much as possible.

The song's lyrics had no Chinese version and were difficult to translate into Chinese, as doing so would lose the essence of the original words. So Chen Mo opted to keep the English lyrics this time, partly to maintain the song's quality and better match Jinx's personality, and partly to better penetrate the European and American markets.

After playing both videos, Chen Mo took the stage again.

He looked at the players below, all brimming with eager anticipation: "Everyone, don't rush. Next, we'll open the PC demo area for you to freely experience the new version and new heroes. But first, let's welcome the five champion players of NRG to the stage. We'll randomly select five lucky fans from the audience to join them in an exhibition match!"

The five members of NRG had been in the audience all along. A showgirl led them onto the stage.

"Wow! Black God!"

"Silver! All five of them are here!"

"If I solo-kill Silver, can I brag about it for a year?"

"Wow, how is this exhibition match supposed to work? Are we just going to get slaughtered in style? They're the world champions!"

Although many players knew that playing an exhibition match against NRG's five members would likely result in a stylish massacre, this was still a chance to get close to their idols, so everyone raised their hands frantically.

Chen Mo said, "Everyone, look at the big screen. There's a QR code on it. Scan it with your phone, and the system will randomly select five players. Those chosen can come up on stage. It's absolutely fair and impartial—no rigging."

Before Chen Mo even finished speaking, the audience had already whipped out their phones in unison, scanning the QR code on the big screen.

Chen Mo watched the audience's reactions and nodded with satisfaction.
