Chapter 244: Chen Mo's World

The two dragons belonging to Chen Mo and Lin Xue still caused quite a stir among the player base.

Many players who bought *My World* headed straight for Chen Mo's world, so there were actually quite a few players in this area. The two crystal dragons flew ostentatiously across the sky, drawing crowds of onlookers.

A lot of people tried to chase after them, wanting to ask where the dragons came from, but the speed difference was just too great, and they were quickly left in the dust.

Lin Xue rode her dragon through the sky, the scenery whizzing past as she left other players behind, and she felt a very subtle sensation.

"So this is... the thrill of being a whale!"

Flying over the forest that had been blocking the view, Chen Mo's crystal dragon began to ascend higher and higher. Soon, the two of them arrived at a spot with a great view, overlooking the buildings below.

"Oh my god!" Lin Xue was so shocked she didn't know what to say.

Looking down from high in the sky, the entire world was divided into several huge valleys, each filled with a massive cluster of buildings, giving the impression of being about the same size as a real city.

At the very center was a huge modern city, with faintly visible skyscrapers and some iconic landmarks, like the Eiffel Tower, the Oriental Pearl Tower, and so on. These buildings were all scattered throughout various areas of the enormous urban district, blending seamlessly with the surrounding architecture, so they didn't look strange or out of place.

This massive modern city was like a collection of many real-world metropolises, with a variety of modern architectural styles perfectly integrated together.

Of course, the actual size of the city was much smaller than a real big city, but it was small yet complete. The commercial district, industrial district, residential district, villa district, and so on were clearly divided, and the layout was very reasonable, still leaving a stunning impression.

Chen Mo explained, "This is the Central City District. Buildings that exist in the real world are generally placed here."

He then pointed to the huge area to the left of the Central City District. "This is the Ancient Architecture District. Buildings like the Forbidden City and the Old Summer Palace are placed here."

It was an architectural complex leaning towards a Chinese style. The Forbidden City was located at the very center of the northernmost part of the area, facing south, occupying an absolutely dominant position in the entire region.

Not far from the Forbidden City, the sprawling Old Summer Palace was also there.

Besides these two buildings that had appeared in videos before, many other ancient Chinese structures were faintly visible, like Yueyang Tower, Yellow Crane Tower, Suzhou Gardens, Songyue Pagoda, Qianling Mausoleum, the Temple of Heaven, Yongle Palace, and so on. Many architectural complexes rich in Chinese characteristics could be seen.

These buildings had various styles, so in this area, there were also many small hills or forests separating the different architectural styles.

Something like the Qianling Mausoleum, an imperial tomb, was simply built on a distant hillside, requiring a long stone path to reach.

Chen Mo pointed at a certain mountain (though because it was too far away, Lin Xue couldn't possibly know which one he meant). "See that mountain below the Qianling Mausoleum? I plan to build the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor there, but I haven't started yet."

Lin Xue was utterly shocked. "The Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor? Hasn't that not even been excavated yet? How are you going to build it?"

Chen Mo said, "Well, I'll just make it up based on descriptions. There are plenty of records about it. If all else fails, at least I can build the Terracotta Army first."

Lin Xue: "I bow to the almighty."

Chen Mo continued his introduction. "To the northeast of the Ancient Architecture District is the Western Fantasy Architecture District."

Lin Xue struggled to identify the buildings. "What are all these? There seem to be some European medieval buildings, some strange ones, and... hey? Isn't that Tristram Cathedral?"

Chen Mo explained, "Yeah, this area is currently divided into two smaller sections. The small area on the right is the *Diablo* architecture district, with Tristram Cathedral, Bastion's Keep, and so on. The left side is the World of Azeroth district, with Stormwind City and the Ruins of Lordaeron."

Lin Xue was stunned. "Stormwind City? Oh my god, you built the city architecture from Azeroth? What about the Frozen Throne?"

Chen Mo: "...That one, I haven't made yet. The workload is too huge. I have to keep working on it slowly. Right now, the only highly completed structures in the Western Fantasy District are Stormwind City and the Ruins of Lordaeron."

Lin Xue said, "That's amazing! I want to see that! I want to see Stormwind City!"

Chen Mo said, "Don't rush. Let me finish introducing the other areas first."

"This large empty space to the east of the Western Fantasy Architecture District is temporarily planned for linking with new games. I'll move some buildings and scenes from new games over here, but the specific theme isn't decided yet."

"To the right of the Central City District is this huge sea area. Beneath it is the Lost City of Atlantis."

"To the south of Atlantis is the World Architecture District. There's nothing there yet, but I'm considering moving the Sphinx, the Pyramids, the Hanging Gardens, and other ancient world wonders over here in the future."

"The three smaller areas south of the Central City District are the Exhibition Districts. They contain some more practical tools and weapons, divided into three types: Ancient, Modern, and Future."

"The Ancient ones have cold weapons, carriages, and fantasy creatures like griffins and dragons."

"The Modern ones have things like tanks and airplanes."

"The Future ones are spaceships and space stations."

"But most of these are still empty because I haven't had time to make them."

Lin Xue was completely stunned. What the hell was all this?!

Was this really the same game she was playing?

Lin Xue asked, shocked, "Did your team build all this during the development period? In just half a year, you not only had to develop the game itself, but also work on such a massive project?"

Chen Mo said, "Uh, to be precise, I built it all myself. Otherwise, why would it be called 'Chen Mo's World'?"

Lin Xue was so shocked she didn't know what to say.

Chen Mo guided his crystal dragon down. "Come on, let's start with Stormwind City."

The two crystal dragons flew very fast, but even so, it took nearly ten minutes to get there.

Chen Mo and Lin Xue landed their crystal dragons at the entrance of Stormwind City.

Passing through the gate, Lin Xue walked along the main road in front of Stormwind City. On both sides of the bridge over the moat were rows of statues.

Chen Mo explained, "Turalyon, Khadgar, Alleria Windrunner... I haven't put up nameplates yet, but I'll add them later."

Lin Xue looked up at these towering statues, all in a blocky style, but they were carved very meticulously. You could make out the postures of the statues, and even a hint of expression.

"How did you carve the noses and mouths?" Lin Xue asked in astonishment.

Chen Mo said, "Oh, there's a carving mode. Each large block can be broken down into 64 smaller blocks, allowing you to carve facial details."

Lin Xue rode her crystal dragon up to get a close-up look at the faces of the statues.

"...Boss, you're practically inhuman!"
