# 1460
Chapter 1461: Raid
"North?" Si Xiaonan pondered for a moment. "So, they've essentially gone missing?"
"During this time, Zeus deployed a large number of people to search for Nyx, but there were no results... Our people couldn't find her either. If nothing unexpected happened, she should have found an extremely secluded place to recover from her injuries."
Hearing this, Si Xiaonan let out a long sigh.
"It seems the plan to form an alliance with Nyx's faction to pressure the Olympians and buy time for Great Xia won't work..."
Just as the two were speaking, the distant mountains suddenly trembled slightly. As a pale bolt of lightning flashed across the sky and streaked eastward, several figures rose into the air in succession.
Si Xiaonan's expression shifted slightly. "That sinister old bastard Zeus... The Heavenly Temple was just destroyed by Great Xia, and he emerged from the ruins, leading the Olympian Gods to Great Xia. Does he really think he can be the one who reaps all the benefits?"
"Si Shen, perhaps... we should just stay out of this?" The shadow试探性地开口,"We are merely a group of minor deities from various parts of the world. Why get involved in these battles between god realms?
Besides, Great Xia is now exhausted from fighting the Indian forces. With Olympus joining in, victory is all but assured. If we insist on opposing them, the other hidden deities won't agree."
"Four of the Olympian Twelve Chief Gods have been taken by Nyx. The remaining eight might not be impossible for Great Xia to hold off, but the key issue is Zeus..." Si Xiaonan's brow furrowed tightly.
She shook her head and spoke calmly, "I never expected those cowardly bastards to be of any use anyway... I'll make a trip to Great Xia. You go back and tell the other hidden deities that during my absence, everyone should behave themselves in the Mist."
As Si Xiaonan finished speaking, her figure transformed into a streak of light and vanished into the horizon, following the Olympian Gods.
...
Chennan Pass.
Night had deepened. The figures on the plaza gradually dispersed. Except for those few who still had to keep watch outside the pass due to their duties, everyone else had returned to rest.
After bidding farewell to the many Night Watch, Lin Qiye did not return to his room. Instead, he went back to the broken outer wall and stared into the distance.
The rest he'd gotten in the afternoon had restored Lin Qiye quite well—he wasn't particularly tired. However, as one of the few people inside the pass who knew the war hadn't truly ended, if he claimed to be completely free of tension, that would certainly be a lie.
No one knew when or where the Olympian Gods would appear. Since he couldn't sleep anyway, staying alert outside was a good choice...
Most importantly, there was someone he was worried about.
Lin Qiye's form dissolved into the night and swiftly glided out of Chennan Pass's outer wall, approaching the several Great Xia divine shadows stationed at the border.
Although Chennan Pass sat on Great Xia's border, it was still some distance from the Mist Wall. After the divine battle ended, the Gods of Great Xia had directly stationed themselves at the border and had not left.
Lin Qiye's gaze swept across the area below and quickly锁定 the ancient ape figure sitting cross-legged on the southeast side. At the same time, Sun Wukong seemed to sense his approach and opened his eyes slightly.
"Brother Monkey." Lin Qiye landed beside him, his eyes falling on the gruesome wounds covering his body. "Are your injuries okay?"
"Wounds of this level won't kill me." Sun Wukong shook his head. "You've come to see Yang Jian, haven't you?"
"Yeah... Is his condition any better?"
Sun Wukong slowly stood up, brushing dust from his clothes. "Follow me."
Sun Wukong brought Lin Qiye soaring into the air, passing through the suspended山河社稷图. A ripple undulated, and the two arrived directly within the ink-painting world.
Passing through a flat mountain peak, Sun Wukong descended at the center of the formation, his gaze fixed on the unconscious figure lying on the ground. His expression was somewhat complicated.
"A Jin!"
Seeing the shocking wounds on Yang Jian's body, Lin Qiye's heart skipped a beat.
Earlier, he had heard from people at Chennan Pass that Yang Jian had suffered serious injuries, but he never imagined they would be this severe... If these injuries had befallen any other Chief God, they would have died beyond recovery long ago.
"He relied on his own willpower to cling to his last breath. After that battle ended, the Jade Emperor and Queen Mother specifically came to treat his wounds. He should be out of danger now, but if he wants to recover his full strength, he'll need at least a few years of rest." Sun Wukong said slowly.
The little black dog lying prone beside Yang Jian seemed to catch Lin Qiye's scent and woke abruptly from its sleep, padding over quickly with clicking paws.
Lin Qiye stroked the little black dog's head while letting out a helpless sigh.
Just as he was about to speak again, a sharp, thunderous roar suddenly echoed from the distant sky!
Lin Qiye and Sun Wukong both looked up simultaneously. Outside the ink-painting sky, they saw a streak of red fire cutting through the Mist Border like a meteor, instantly carving a blindingly bright trail across the dark night sky!
The instant he saw that firelight, Sun Wukong's expression changed drastically!
"They're here!"
Lin Qiye's heart sank. He followed Sun Wukong in quickly exiting the山河社稷图. At this moment, all the Great Xia deities who had been meditating and recuperating near the border had already woken up. They gazed toward the direction from which the firelight was streaking, their expressions grim.
"The Olympians?" Lin Qiye exclaimed in disbelief. "They came this quickly?!"
It had been less than four hours since the battle between Great Xia and the Heavenly Temple ended... The Night Watch who had barely escaped death that afternoon might not even have had time to fall asleep yet, and the Olympians were already attacking?!
Such a short time wasn't nearly enough for the Great Xia deities to recover much of their combat strength!
The appearance of this firelight also jolted the people inside Chennan Pass awake. Hongying pushed open her door and saw the red streak crossing the distant sky. A puzzled frown appeared between her brows.
"What's that..."
Before she could finish, the sharp alarm sounded once again within Chennan Pass. All the Night Watch froze for a moment, then immediately rushed toward the outer wall.
"The alarm again?! Didn't we just repel the Heavenly Temple?!"
"All units on alert! Spread out along the daytime defensive line!"
"Damn it, my leg still isn't healed..."
"Who's coming this time? The Olympians?"
"..."
Amidst a chorus of startled voices, the Night Watch quickly took their positions along Chennan Pass's outer wall. However, very few had survived the battle against the Heavenly Temple to begin with, and most of them were still wounded. They couldn't possibly form a decent defensive formation.
"They came this fast..." An Qingyu, carrying the black coffin on his back, landed at the very front of the outer wall. He gazed at the streak in the sky and murmured to himself.
Of course, he knew what this meant.
Another crimson figure landed beside him. An Qingyu turned his head, only to find it was Cao Yuan alone.
He frowned slightly: "Where's Qiye and Pangpang?"
