Chapter 1341: Three Goddesses Battle Odin
The Eternal Garden.
BOOM BOOM—!!
From a distance, atop the Divine Mountain, successive explosions echoed.
Wyrd's expression shifted between worry and anger, her fists clenched tight.
"That is... the God King's Hall?" Bragi gazed toward the Divine Mountain, puzzled. "What's happening over there too? Are the Great Xia gods that powerful?"
"That definitely isn't the Great Xia gods!" Wyrd said with certainty. "It's most likely Odin... Asgard must already be in chaos."
Bragi seemed to realize the severity of the situation as well, his brow furrowing deeply.
Just then, a startled cry came from behind the two!
Wyrd and Bragi spun around simultaneously, only to see the petite Skuld stumble backward several steps, her face pale as death, her eyes filled with terror as she stared toward the Divine Mountain.
"What's wrong? Skuld!"
Bragi rushed forward to embrace her, asking gently.
"Sister..." Skuld's eyes were somewhat dazed, her small hands gripping her clothing corner tightly. "I saw my sister she..."
Hearing these words, Wyrd's face changed drastically!
BOOM—!!
Another thunderous roar came from the Divine Mountain as two figures streaked across the sky and crashed into a nearby pile of temple ruins.
"Verthandi!" Wyrd's face twisted with anxiety. She turned to Bragi immediately:
"Take Skuld and stay here! Don't go anywhere!"
With Verthandi's life at stake, Wyrd had no time to concern herself with Bragi's movements. Given the current situation, a new Ragnarok had arrived—she had to go help Verthandi!
Just as Wyrd was about to leave, a small hand grabbed her sleeve:
"Sister! I want to go too!" Skuld's face was somewhat pale, but determination flashed in her eyes. "Without me, you'll have an even harder time!"
Wyrd had wanted to refuse, but seeing the stubbornness on Skuld's face, she hesitated briefly before nodding.
"Then... remember to stay behind me and Verthandi."
Without "Future," "Past" and "Present" lose their meaning... If Skuld didn't come, the three Fates would no longer be complete.
If the opponent was that creature... then they had no choice but to go all out.
Wyrd and Skuld's figures soared into the sky one after another, flying directly toward the Divine Mountain, leaving Bragi alone in the garden, his expression full of worry.
He scratched his golden hair, pacing anxiously in circles:
"Great Xia gods, [Gjallarhorn], Odin, Cthulhu... Why does so much trouble appear the moment I return??
I wonder if this disaster will affect Asgard's source."
After struggling for a long while, Bragi finally made his decision:
"Forget it, I have to go out and see what's happening..."
...
Inside the ruins.
Verthandi gripped her spear, her tall figure darting across the ground like lightning. Each time her spear tip swept out, it tore through vast swaths of void, gouging circular craters kilometers in radius into the earth.
Black hair streaming, divine power churning—she looked every bit the fierce Nordic Valkyrie.
"Do you truly believe that by yourself, you can stop me?" Odin's form flickered through endless spear light, his bare hands deflecting Verthandi's spear as he spoke calmly,
"Verthandi, you're far too confident in your own strength."
Odin seized the spear tip with his five fingers, locking it in place. The surrounding space visibly crushed and rotated, seemingly intending to swallow Verthandi's head whole.
Verthandi reacted with lightning speed, retreating dozens of miles in an instant. A deafening crack tore past her ears, turning a mountain range behind her into scattered rubble.
Her palm gripping the spear trembled slightly from exhaustion, her expression grave.
Just then, two streaks of light arrived successively from the distance, landing beside her.
Seeing these two figures, Verthandi frowned. "What are you two doing here?!"
"You alone cannot possibly be his match." Wyrd stared intently at Odin, speaking seriously. "Back then, the three of us together could fight one of India's Supreme Gods—Vishnu. Now, fighting Odin together might give us a better chance."
"Odin is not Vishnu." Verthandi shook her head. "Though both are Supreme Gods, I can feel it—the current Odin is far more terrifying than Vishnu!"
"What sister says is true."
Skuld pressed her lips together, fear evident in her eyes as she looked at Odin. "His aura is so frightening... I've never seen such a bizarre and mixed divine power before."
Wyrd's expression was grave beyond measure.
"Fine." While the three goddesses conversed, Odin's hands dropped naturally to his sides as he spoke expressionlessly, "Three stray fish gathered together—it saves me the trouble of hunting you down one by one."
The moment his words fell, Odin's form vanished instantly. When he reappeared, he had already teleported directly above where the three goddesses stood!
He raised his right hand and slammed it downward. The space below collapsed violently, a black circular pit condensing into existence.
Howling winds and temple debris were dragged by some invisible force, instantly swallowed by this circular pit. The three goddesses' bodies wavered as they too were pulled toward it involuntarily.
Wyrd turned to look at Verthandi beside her, her deep eyes clearly reflecting Verthandi's appearance. A brilliant divine radiance burst forth!
The next instant, her figure rapidly elongated. Her short black hair grew visibly, cascading to her waist. Even her features began to shift.
When the divine light in her eyes faded, Wyrd stood as tall as Verthandi beside her. Their figures and features were extremely similar—the only difference being that Wyrd appeared somewhat younger.
This was Verthandi's past appearance in Wyrd's eyes... the "Past" of the "Present."
At the same time, around Skuld standing behind the two, the flow of time suddenly accelerated.
Skuld's petite frame seemed to have its fast-forward button pressed, growing taller and more robust continuously. Her twin braids woven with colored thread loosened, scattering in the wind. Her entire aura was rapidly transforming...
She was trying to evolve Verthandi's future... the "Future" of the "Present."
But just as her form continued to approach Verthandi's, her expression suddenly changed. She spat out a mouthful of blood, her face deathly pale!
Her constantly shifting figure and appearance froze, then quickly dissipated, eventually reverting to her original form...
She had failed.
