Chapter 1001: One Against Three
"How dare you!" Brother Lei roared from behind, striking his palms together in the air. A transparent protective barrier extended from beneath his feet outward, but it barely reached Dong Jingxuan's side before being crushed by the high-speed tunnel rushing past—the item had no effect. "If we can call you by name, of course we know who you are," the driving player said, leaning on the steering wheel with amusement. "No one can save you now. You'd better cooperate with us, and maybe you'll get a whole corpse."
Dong Jingxuan was starting to get scared. "My parents and my family won't let you get away with this!"
None of the three took his threat seriously. If they were truly afraid of the Dong family's power, why would they have come to hijack the train in the first place?
Mr. Chang said to Xu Huo, "It seems this friend wants to play the hero."
"I was paid," Xu Huo finally spoke, his tone indifferent. "I take money and do the job. If you tell me to hand someone over, that goes against my professional ethics."
Everyone present, including the boy who barely reached Xu Huo's waist, couldn't help but look at him. Mr. Chang even let out a laugh. Then he signaled to the invisible player, whose pocket watch flew up again. But as the item's power spread, Xu Huo, who was the first to be affected, showed no reaction at all. Not only that, but he turned his head and glanced back at the invisible player.
It was just that one glance. The invisible player felt as if he saw a pair of enormous eyes opening right in front of him. He involuntarily leaned back, but when he came to his senses, Xu Huo was still standing in the same spot, having not moved at all. His expression changed, and he commanded, "Kill him!"
The passengers behind him, who had been moving like ghosts, all rushed into Car 2. But instead of attacking Xu Huo as the invisible player had ordered, they charged straight at him!
After dodging a fruit knife thrust at him, the invisible player looked back and forth between his controlled targets and Xu Huo in shock. "You tampered with them!"
Xu Huo hadn't even shifted his feet. "Those were your words. What does that have to do with me?"
Despite his words, the invisible player realized that Xu Huo was likely also skilled in mental manipulation. "No wonder my item didn't work on you!"
As he spoke, he draped himself in an invisibility cloak, trying to hide among the passengers. But unfortunately, the passengers who had been crazily stabbing him with whatever tools they had just a second ago now dropped everything, and some even started dancing on the spot.
With the tools no longer a threat, the invisible player layered items to conceal his movements and sounds as he crossed the car. However, just as the distance between them shrank to three meters, Xu Huo, who seemed completely unaware, precisely pinpointed his location. With a sudden lunge, he grabbed the invisible player by the neck and slammed him into the opposite wall!
With a loud "bang," the invisible player left a large dent in the wall. Since the invisibility cloak made his body unseen, only a mouthful of blood could be seen spraying onto Xu Huo's hand. Xu Huo, expression unchanged, lifted him and hurled him toward the player still sitting in the vehicle!

The driving player had just used a defensive item to protect himself when Xu Huo's sweeping kick caught him on the side of the head, sending him headfirst into the pile of broken seats.
Just as Xu Huo was about to press his advantage, Mr. Chang, standing ahead, suddenly raised his hand: "Fall back!"
"Inviolable Domain" instantly sealed off the space around Xu Huo. Even so, the force of the impact sent him crashing backward into the sealed door of Car 2.
Stepping out from under the cascading liquid metal, he pointed a finger, and the floor of Car 1 rapidly shifted to both sides. Dong Jingxuan and the boy were involuntarily moved to Car 2, causing the driving player, who had tried to grab them, to miss completely.
"Space item?" Mr. Chang's eyes darkened at the sight. He made the same gesture again, trying to push Xu Huo back. But though his hand was raised, Xu Huo didn't retreat even half a step:
Instead, he slightly crouched, then crossed three cars at a speed invisible to the naked eye. In an instant, he was in front of Mr. Chang, throwing a punch straight at his glasses!
