Chapter 1994: Explosion Maniac

The old man's killing move had actually covered most of the trapped players, with only a few falling outside that ten percent range. The reason quite a few survived was mostly due to life-saving items; only three players had sensed the danger in advance and leaped into the air to avoid the waist-level cut. As for the masked youth, although he felt something was wrong, he hadn't had time to react before a hand suddenly reached out from beneath his feet and yanked him downward. The old man's thread just grazed over the top of his head, pulling off his mask.

The two layers of ring walls in the city center had already been destroyed by the players. The remaining outer zone players scattered, trying to blend into crowded areas. They had been tricked earlier and trapped by Agor. The ring wall barrier wasn't the main point; gathering them together was solely to make it easier for that old man to act. The outer ring wall barrier hadn't disappeared yet, so the best course now was to mingle with the city's residents. Agor couldn't possibly round up and kill everyone in the entire city.

The dead were simply unlucky, while the living secretly counted their blessings, becoming more cautious after surviving the ordeal. However, the atmosphere between Xu Huo and the masked youth was a bit awkward.

Of course, the masked youth no longer had a mask now. After Xu Huo pulled him out, the two stood facing each other five meters apart, neither speaking.

Xu Huo had originally been separated from the Agor headquarters by three layers of ring wall barriers. After arduously digging a tunnel underground, only two layers remained. Coincidentally, the two layers in front had converged together. By the time he reached the vicinity, the players had just broken through together. He arrived just in time and took the opportunity to pull the masked youth out.

But even he hadn't expected such a ridiculous outcome.

Looking at the completely bald top of the person opposite him, after a moment he said, "Your head is quite shiny."

The masked youth was indeed a very young man. Upon hearing this, he immediately lost his composure, his face turning green as he said, "I suspect you did that on purpose."

"How could that be?" Xu Huo said in surprise. "In such a dangerous situation, shouldn't you be grateful that it only scraped off your hair?"

Clearly, the other party didn't think so. While putting a hat on his head, he said, "This is the darkest moment of my life, an indelible stain I'll never erase. I'd rather lose my head than be shaved into a bald patch!"

"No problem," Xu Huo immediately prepared to act. "I can send you back."

The other party warily stepped back. Perhaps the hat had soothed the embarrassment of losing his dignity, as he wasn't as agitated anymore. Touching the brim of his hat, he said, "Forget it. You did save me once, so thanks. Actually, I could have gotten out without your help."

Xu Huo didn't mind and nodded with a smile.

The masked youth felt a bit frustrated. "Let's formally get to know each other. My name is Jiang Chengfeng."

"Old Five," Xu Huo said, not using Xu Zhi's name this time, offering a number with little sincerity. Jiang Chengfeng rolled his eyes. "You're in Jade Spring City, and you know about the Old Holy Sword Society. You don't think your identity is hard to find out, do you?"

Xu Huo raised an eyebrow slightly. "Hasn't the Old Holy Sword Society declined? Nowadays, anyone who knows about the Holy Sword Society refers to the New Holy Sword Society. Do they have that many people?"

As he spoke, he deliberately looked around. "Where are your companions?"

Jiang Chengfeng's face twitched. Avoiding the topic, he said, "Let's find a place to hide first. I'm afraid there might be another waist cut."

"That item's coverage is only thirty meters, and its usage conditions are probably quite harsh. Otherwise, the East District players wouldn't have used the city-wide instruments," Xu Huo said. "The ring wall barrier should be closing soon."

Sure enough, as they changed locations, the ring walls in the distance of the city slowly dissolved into halos and disappeared.

"Did you see Zheng Yuci when you were trapped?" Xu Huo asked.

"He should have left with the East District players," Jiang Chengfeng said. "When the blockade barrier closed in, everyone was cleared out. I didn't see him, nor the few players protecting him."

Xu Huo nodded slightly and then stopped near the Agor headquarters.

He watched as Xu Huo attached several very thin metal pieces to his hands, then pressed his index finger to the ground and slowly raised it. Although he wasn't a Spatial Super Evolver, his sufficiently high evolution rate allowed him to sense that special power was accumulating beneath Xu Huo's finger.

"Aren't you looking for Zheng Yuci? What are you doing?"

"Blowing up the building," Xu Huo said calmly.

After the ring wall barrier disappeared, the bodies of the killed outer zone players hadn't been cleaned up yet. Most of the East District players who had left went to support other places, leaving the Agor headquarters area quite deserted. Of course, this didn't mean there was nothing to gain here. After the old man who had waist-cut the outer zone players left, the instruments inside and outside the building that hadn't been completely destroyed started working again. The defense barrier lit up once more, making even other players who wanted to pick up scraps hesitant to approach.

"For the East District players to give up the headquarters so easily, it shows there's nothing important here," Jiang Chengfeng said. "Maybe this place was a decoy from the start."

"Didn't you notice when you were trapped that the ground here had been specially modified?" Xu Huo had already set up the first bomb and immediately moved to set up a second. "Even if there's no secret underground facility, the instruments that created the ring wall barrier must be buried here. Blowing it up won't be a loss."

Jiang Chengfeng nodded at this. Since he was someone who loved watching chaos unfold, he was about to offer to keep watch when he suddenly felt the air become stagnant. Startled, he immediately realized that the Super Evolver had arrived.

"Pretty fast reaction," Xu Huo said. He had already brought out the "Cube Space." As the space began to change, he drained the surrounding rays, preventing the other party from completing the spatial stagnation. At the same time, he discovered that the first space bomb he had set up had been erased.

Looking up at a small building belonging to Agor not far away, the Super Evolver stood on the rooftop, looking down at them from a height.

The spatial forces confronted each other for a moment. Xu Huo knew that his spatial evolution level couldn't match this East District player. But that didn't matter—he would flip the table. So he directly detonated the second bomb. Protected by the item, he rode the explosion's shockwave outward while simultaneously releasing his spiritual realm. Through the Spiritual Gate, he tossed the "Mini Mushroom Cloud" to the other side of the Agor headquarters.

The Super Evolver, who possessed fire-suppression attributes, prioritized protecting the Agor headquarters. He immediately arrived at the first explosion site, forcibly using a space item to seal off the blast wave. Unfortunately, he was alone, and although Xu Huo's spiritual realm had been compressed in range due to the change in spatial ray density, the time interval between explosions was too short. The Super Evolver simply couldn't defend in time. And at that moment, Xu Huo set up a third space bomb...
