# Chapter 130: Huge Disparity in Strength

"Let's go through another door," Xu Huo said in a low voice to the people beside him.

The Painting Woman and Wang Chaoqing followed him. The latter asked, "Aren't those the people coming to rescue us? Why are we leaving?"

"I don't think they look like good people," Xu Huo didn't answer. Instead, it was the old gentleman who spoke.

"I've lived most of my life and have never seen military personnel treat ordinary citizens so roughly."

Wang Chaoqing looked at him suspiciously and wanted to say something more, but someone behind them suddenly called out, "You there, a few of you—stop!"

Xu Huo didn't stop walking, but the next second a bullet punched a hole in the floor tiles beside him.

He turned around and saw the leading man raising his gun and walking toward them.

"Where do you think you're going?"

"Going out to call for people," Xu Huo said. "There are still quite a few people on Southbound Road. It would be safer to call them over and stay together. Aren't you here to rescue people?"

The man saw the white bar on the back of Xu Huo's hand, and his gaze immediately turned sharp. "You're a player?"

"That's right," Xu Huo nodded. "But I didn't join the vanguard squad. You're from the vanguard squad, right? Are you three the only ones coming to rescue people?"

The man sized him up for a few moments, then said, "We're the advance team. We're gathering people together to facilitate follow-up rescue operations."

"Since you're also a player, don't leave. Stay with us and help maintain order."

"You find a place to rest," Xu Huo didn't refuse, turning instead to say to the Painting Woman and the other two.

The Painting Woman grabbed his hand and shook her head, indicating she wanted to go with him.

"Someone will come to rescue us soon. Don't be afraid. Stay with Wang Chaoqing. Be careful, and if anyone bullies you, don't be polite," Xu Huo patted the back of her hand.

The Painting Woman nodded pitifully, and Wang Chaoqing quickly said, "Brother, don't worry. I'll definitely take care of our little sister."

Xu Huo glanced at him, his eyes flicking toward the computer, and Wang Chaoqing nodded in understanding.

Xu Huo followed the man in camouflage.

At this time, some of the calmer young people went out in twos and threes to call in everyone scattered outside, including the shop owner and waiter whom Xu Huo had kicked. As soon as they came in, they eagerly said to the camouflage-clad men, "Comrades, it's him! He injured people for no reason. This is a society governed by law—you must report this matter and have him sentenced to a few years in prison!"

The burly and the thin camouflage-clad men turned to the man beside Xu Huo. "Brother Feng?"

"Tell them to get lost. If they don't behave, beat them until they do," the leader called Brother Feng said impatiently.

"Aren't you public servants? How can you have this kind of attitude!" The shop owner pulled out his phone to record a video. "I'm going to post your behavior online!"

But as soon as he raised his phone, the tall, thin camouflage-clad man knocked it down with the butt of his gun, then aimed the dark muzzle at his forehead.

The shop owner's arrogant attitude immediately deflated. He cowered fearfully, and under the other man's signal, slowly shrank back to the ground, sitting together with the others.

"Can't take a hint," the tall, thin camouflage-clad man spat, then glanced back at Xu Huo before going to close the main door.

Soon, all six exits on the first floor of the mall were locked by them. This action undoubtedly poured a bucket of cold water over the heads of those waiting for rescue inside the mall. The crowd began murmuring among themselves, and one bold person couldn't help asking, "Why are you locking the doors?"

"Of course, it's to keep you alive," Brother Feng laughed. "Those of you with white bars on your hands, step forward."

By now, the crowd was no longer as trusting of them as before, and there was little reaction to his words.

Brother Feng nodded to his left and right, and the two camouflage-clad men shouldered their guns and went into the crowd to search. They actually managed to find two people with white bars on the backs of their hands—a man and a woman. The man wore a baseball cap and fashionable clothes; the woman wore a shirt and pants, with her hair covering half her face.

Both had come down from the second floor of the mall.

The burly camouflage-clad man grabbed the woman and started tearing at her clothes. The baseball cap man stepped forward to stop him. "What are you doing to this female comrade?"

The burly camouflage-clad man slapped him to the ground, directly ripped open the woman's top, and seeing the number on her back, laughed lewdly. "This one's even a white player."

The woman, humiliated and furious, shook off his hand, crossed her arms over her chest, and backed away repeatedly. A girl behind her quickly took off her own jacket and draped it over her. Several men stood up to block the woman, glaring angrily at the camouflage-clad man.

"What are you afraid of?" the burly camouflage-clad man sneered. "Even if you offered yourself to me, I wouldn't be interested."

As he spoke, he scanned the crowd, suddenly his eyes lighting up. He strode over to the Painting Woman, grabbed her wrist, and pulled her up. "Got tits and ass. Brother Feng, this one's got a good figure!"

With that, he tried to drag the Painting Woman away. The old gentleman quickly stepped in to protect her. "Young man, focus on the important matters. If you like this female comrade, wouldn't it be better to pursue her once we're safe?"

Blocked again, the burly camouflage-clad man's smile vanished, his expression turning fierce as he raised his gun. "Who the hell dares to stand in my way? Die, you old bastard!"

"Bang, bang, bang!" A series of bullets swept from the ground all the way to the porcelain shop across the way. Amid the crowd's terrified screams and the shattering of porcelain, the burly camouflage-clad man's gun flew out of his hand, was kicked more than twenty meters away, and after hitting the ground, slid all the way to the main entrance!

Xu Huo stood in front of the Painting Woman and the other two, one hand gripping the burly camouflage-clad man's arm, the other catching his swinging fist. After being pushed back, he raised his leg and exchanged kicks with the opponent. Under the collision of force, both of them retreated two steps!

"Not bad!" The burly camouflage-clad man showed a moment of surprise after stepping back, but then clenched his fists. It was only then that Brother Feng, not far away, finally spoke up. "Enough!"

He walked over, placing his hand on the burly camouflage-clad man's shoulder and patting it lightly. "Don't keep obsessing over those trivial matters every day."

Then he looked at Xu Huo. "Brother, you've been hiding your skills well. I underestimated you earlier."

Xu Huo's right leg was in severe pain, but he didn't show it on his face. That kick just now, even with the boost of his special evolution, he had used all his strength, yet the opponent had clearly held back. From that single exchange, he could feel the huge disparity in their strength.

These three were most likely outer zone players.

"You just want to escape from the black-and-white life-or-death game. You must have a purpose for coming here. Killing people isn't necessary," he said without revealing his true feelings.

"Easy to say," Brother Feng said. "I can see you're quick-witted. How about following me? I won't touch your woman or your two friends."

"I can cooperate with you, but only if your people don't touch mine, and it's best if you don't kill people indiscriminately. I don't want to spend the rest of my days hiding and running," Xu Huo said bluntly.

The burly camouflage-clad man, who had gone to retrieve his gun, looked indignant. "You think you can make demands—"

Brother Feng raised his hand to cut him off, stepped forward, and said, "We have no grudge against these people. We don't necessarily have to kill them, but it depends on whether they cooperate."

"How do you want them to cooperate?" Xu Huo asked.
