Chapter 13: Unable to Claim Ownership

The vast, surging Sea of Stardust Mist. Within the spherical gravitational space with a diameter of two hundred meters centered on Linley, all of Gamontin’s over a thousand doppelgangers self-destructed simultaneously. “Boom!” Like the collapse of heaven and earth, violent energy shot out in all directions!

Gamontin, with strength close to that of a Seven Star Fiend, had gathered a large number of doppelgangers within this spherical space to self-destruct simultaneously. The intensity was at least something an ordinary mid-level god couldn’t withstand.

“Not good.” Olivia’s expression changed.

Bates, however, immediately had black mist flow out from his body, instantly enveloping the three beside him—Olivia, Bebe, and Delia.

“Bang!” The shockwave from the violent explosion caused the black mist around the four of them to tremble.

“Bates, I’m fine.” Bebe said nonchalantly.

At the same time, Bebe and the others stared at Linley’s figure, which was blurry amidst the explosion. Linley was now turning his head to look back at them, clearly worried that the explosion might affect them.

“Now’s the time.” Gamontin’s main body seized the opportunity, desperately resisting the gravitational pull and struggling to fly outward. He wanted to escape this gravitational space. Once he was out, with his speed, he could easily shake off Linley.

“Faster, faster!” Gamontin sprinted with all his might, but the gravity felt like countless ropes pulling him back with deadly force.

“Just who is this Linley? His gravity is this strong, and those scales on his body are terrifying too.” Gamontin was furious. Linley’s gravitational space and his powerful physical defense perfectly countered Gamontin.

Despite his anger, Gamontin seized the moment when Linley was distracted to flee.

“Boss, we’re fine, but don’t let Gamontin escape!” Bebe urgently sent a divine sense message.

“Right, Gamontin! I can’t let him get away!” Linley snapped back to attention and looked at Gamontin. Gamontin had already reached the edge of the gravitational space. Before Linley could react, he saw Gamontin leap out of the spherical gravitational range.

Once outside the gravitational zone, it was like a bird freed into the sky.

Gamontin was ecstatic, overjoyed. “Haha, I’m finally out!”

Linley stared at Gamontin, grinning, and then let out a low shout: “Expand!”

The spherical gravitational space, originally two hundred meters in diameter, abruptly expanded again, becoming a spherical space four hundred meters in diameter!

After all, Linley had previously extended the Blackstone Prison to a length of three hundred meters with ease. A diameter of two hundred meters was far from his limit.

“I finally escaped that damned place. This Linley is such a freak. I’d better leave first.” Just as Gamontin was overjoyed, suddenly—the terrifying gravity covered his entire body again, and the boundless force yanked him back once more.

Feeling this force, Gamontin’s face instantly turned pale, devoid of any blood.

“What?” Gamontin was dumbfounded.

His speed was fast, but under that terrifying gravity, he couldn’t even reach a tenth of his normal speed. How could he possibly escape Linley’s pursuit? Last time, he used his doppelgangers’ explosion to distract Linley, but this time, Linley wouldn’t be distracted again.

“Am I going to die here today?” Gamontin turned his head and saw Linley’s dark golden eyes. Those eyes were rapidly approaching him. Within the gravitational space, Linley’s speed was far greater than his!

Though it seems slow to describe, in reality, only a second had passed from the self-destruction to Linley expanding his gravitational space.

“You can’t escape!” Linley’s voice echoed in Gamontin’s mind.

“Whoosh!” Linley’s right fist was like a dragon emerging from the sea, carrying power enough to shatter the earth. It tore through space with a roar. Wherever the fist passed, even the spatial fabric of the Infernal Realm trembled, creating spatial ripples.

Linley’s incredibly powerful physical body granted him overwhelming strength. If he used the profound mysteries of the laws for long-range attacks, this formidable power might not be fully displayed. But in close combat, Linley’s body, strengthened by the Sovereign’s power of golden blood, revealed astonishing might.

A punch combining the two profound mysteries of Earth Pulse and Earth Element, fused with the raw power of his physical body—his strongest blow!

Gamontin only saw a flash as a fist covered in dragon scales arrived. He immediately countered with a graceful sword strike, seemingly slow but actually incredibly fast. Before the fist reached him, the green serpentine longsword blocked his front.

“Bang!”

Linley’s fist slammed heavily into the serpentine divine sword.

“Hum—” The serpentine divine sword was bent slightly by the impact. The fist, carrying boundless power, was deflected slightly by Gamontin’s sword but still smashed into Gamontin’s shoulder. With a “Crack!”, Gamontin’s shoulder shattered, and his entire body was sent flying.

“Such terrifying brute force!” Gamontin’s expression changed drastically. “If that had hit my head, I’d be dead for sure. That was close!”

Even a divine sword was bent by the force—this power was truly monstrous. But having narrowly escaped death, Gamontin breathed a sigh of relief. However, his expression suddenly changed drastically because a blurry, cyan-gold whip-like shadow was coming at him.

No, it wasn’t a whip!

It was Linley’s dragon tail, moving at extreme speed!

It turned out that while throwing his right punch, Linley’s steel-like dragon tail had already cut through the air, sweeping directly toward Gamontin’s head.

Gamontin was terrified. His longsword instantly traced an afterimage, and at the same time, a pleasant flute sound rang out. This eerie flute sound made Linley involuntarily pause for a moment. “Sizzle—” Where the sword shadow passed, space split open.

“Clang!” The serpentine divine sword struck the dragon tail heavily, sparks flying. Two or three dragon scales shattered, causing the dragon tail’s trajectory to deviate involuntarily.

However, the force of the dragon tail’s sweep was too strong. Even with the deviation, it was only pushed down slightly. “Smack!” The dragon tail viciously struck Gamontin’s neck, like a guillotine blade grazing past it. Gamontin’s head was severed from his body, flying up into the air, his eyes filled with shock.

The cyan-gold dragon tail then curved back and struck again, slamming directly into the headless body.

“Bang!” The headless body exploded from the impact.

“You can’t escape!” Linley chased after Gamontin’s head.

Centered on Linley, a terrifying gravitational force radiated outward. All living things within the spherical space were continuously pulled toward him. Gamontin’s head was naturally affected by the gravity. “Sizzle—” From the head as a source, Gamontin’s neck, shoulders, and chest began to regrow rapidly…

A single head had too little resistance!

It couldn’t resist the gravity and was being pulled toward Linley.

“No time!” Linley’s right leg swung lightly, carrying enough force to split a mountain range. Like a cleaver, it came down toward the head. Linley’s leg seemed to carry a blade shadow as it swept past the upper body, which had only regrown to the chest.

“No!” In a roar of unwillingness.

“You can’t kill me! If you kill me, the Commander will definitely kill you!” As Linley’s blade-like leg neared Gamontin’s head, Gamontin sent one final divine sense message.

But Linley didn’t hesitate at all.

“Pfft!” The head was directly split apart by Linley’s descending leg, exploding.

Gamontin was dead!

Linley flipped his hand and sucked the green divine sword and the spatial ring into his grasp. At that moment, Delia, Bebe, and the other two flew over excitedly. Linley’s killing of Gamontin filled them with joy.

“Haha, Boss, that Gamontin was so arrogant, but in the end, he’s dead.” Bebe laughed loudly. “Boss, let me see how much wealth is in his spatial ring.”

“Still thinking about that?” Linley teased.

Bebe’s wealth was comparable to that of an ancient clan in the Infernal Realm. Although Gamontin was strong, he wasn’t a Seven Star Fiend. His wealth was probably only a few hundred billion at most. Compared to Bebe’s fortune, it was just a drop in the bucket.

“I love counting money the most.” Bebe was itching with curiosity.

“Linley, just give the spatial ring to Bebe.” Delia said with a smile. “If you don’t, he won’t let it go.” Linley smiled and tossed the spatial ring to Bebe.

Bebe chuckled and immediately began to inspect the spatial ring.

The bearded Bates looked at Linley. He knew Linley was strong, but seeing Gamontin die so miserably surprised him. He couldn’t help but sigh, “Mr. Linley, Gamontin ended up so badly against you. Truly admirable.”

Linley shook his head with a smile, looked at the green serpentine longsword in his hand, and thought to himself, “Meeting me, Gamontin was really unlucky.”

It wasn’t that Gamontin wasn’t strong enough, nor that Linley was too strong.

Rather…

Linley perfectly countered Gamontin!

Gamontin excelled in speed and material attacks.

In terms of speed, within Linley’s peculiar gravitational space, even the fastest strongman would feel like they were stuck in a swamp, moving much slower.

As for material attacks, that was even worse. Linley’s formidable body could only be matched by a few rare races in the Infernal Realm. Gamontin’s strongest sword strike only shattered two or three dragon scales, barely affecting Linley.

“If I ran into a Six Star Fiend skilled in soul attacks, I’d be in trouble.” Linley thought to himself.

Experts in soul attacks could usually make their attacks possess a kind of spirituality, like the volcanic giant Phusro or the venom in the Godslayer Arrows sold at the Violet Thorn Castle. All of these had a unique spirituality.

These were experts who studied the soul.

Linley feared such experts the most, while those skilled in material attacks were completely suppressed by him.

“Ah, Boss, this spatial ring won’t accept blood.”

“Huh?” Linley turned to look. Bebe was frowning at the spatial ring in his hand. Delia furrowed her brow and said, “This spatial ring already has an owner. Does that mean… Gamontin still has a divine doppelganger alive?”

In the Infernal Realm, some experts kept their divine clones in separate places.

Of course, this was rare. Divine clones varied in strength, and weaker ones had to be kept in safe places. But what safe places were there in the Infernal Realm? Those who were weak couldn’t afford to buy residences in cities. And many wandering experts didn’t want to separate their clones.

Inside a grand hall, Gamontin, dressed in a deep green robe, trembled all over. His green-glowing eyes stared fixedly ahead.

“Destroyed my wind-type divine clone!” Gamontin gritted his teeth, his whole body shaking. “Linley, the Four Divine Beasts clan? I don’t care who you are. I, Gamontin, will make you regret this!” Gamontin now only had a water-type divine clone left.

In terms of strength, his wind-type divine clone was his strongest.

If even his strongest wind-type divine clone couldn’t kill Linley, how could he?

“I have no choice but to beg the Commander!” Gamontin’s eyes flashed with hatred. He transformed into a streak of green light and shot out of the hall.

On the Sea of Stardust Mist, Linley and the others looked at the green serpentine longsword and the spatial ring. Bebe muttered, “This guy actually kept a divine clone hidden. I’ve met so many mid-level gods, and few do that. What a hassle! Can’t even claim the spatial ring by blood.”

“If you can’t claim it by blood, just break it by force.” Linley said with a faint smile. “Leaving this spatial ring here would just let Gamontin know our location.”

Just then—

“Linley, those seven people are coming.” Delia said.

Linley turned to look. Indeed, Aichi, Taimu, Bofei, and the other seven mid-level gods were flying over. Aichi, at the front, had a humble smile on his face. Having witnessed the battle just now, they realized that the hidden expert was actually Linley.

“They still have the nerve to show up? Hmph.” Bebe snorted softly.

“Lord Linley.” Aichi, flying at the front, called out enthusiastically as he approached.
