Chapter 706: The Unlucky Circle

A short, faint sound rang out as the bullet from the 98k instantly crossed the safe zone, precisely hitting a player who was hunched over and running inward.

"I'm down! Save me!"

"Crawl over here, crawl over! Where's the enemy?"

"Not sure, there's a suppressor!"

"It's that Jademp, it's Old P's team!"

"Hide first, don't peek!"

This team was still a full squad of four. They had to admit they were pretty lucky, avoiding fights all along with only two minor skirmishes.

But as the safe zone kept shrinking, they were bound to run into a tough nut.

Everyone had seen Qin An and Hason's kill feed earlier. The thought that they were already exposed to Qin An's gun made this team nervous.

However, ahead was a vast grassland with many trees and low, rolling hills. The enemy's 98k had a suppressor, so even though they'd been hit, they couldn't pinpoint Qin An's position.

"I have a level 3 helmet, I'll peek and check."

"Damn! I'm down, save me!"

"Shit, he's got an AWM too! Two snipers?!"

The guy with the level 3 helmet had volunteered to find Qin An's location, but no sooner had he peeked than he was also downed with one shot!

In the livestream, viewers clearly saw Qin An's first-person perspective.

He was half-crouched behind a tree, using the 8x scope on his 98k to scout the enemy's position. After spotting a level 3 helmet poking out from behind a slope, Qin An instantly switched to his AWM, swapped the suppressor in a flash, scoped in, snap-shot a headshot, and then dropped prone in one fluid motion.

The enemy had no time to react before being instantly downed!

Actually, after the enemy went down, Old P and Haimi could have considered finishing them off, but firing might expose their own positions, so Qin An played it safe.

Those two headshots made the enemy too scared to peek again. They could only lie on the ground, fidgeting anxiously, waiting for the next safe zone to shrink.

Qin An and his team weren't in a hurry.

With Old P and Haimi watching the surroundings for Qin An, there was basically no chance of someone sneaking up on them. And the deterrent effect of Qin An's two sniper rifles made other teams steer clear of this area, forcing them to take detours.

But those detours caused other teams to collide and start fighting. Qin An and his team were perfectly positioned to profit from the chaos—on one hand, they could locate enemies by the gunfire; on the other, once the other teams were battered, it would be even more advantageous for them.

"The area should be safe. Let's crawl forward slowly."

The safe zone refreshed again. This time, the circle didn't favor any team, shrinking toward the very center.

Obviously, no team dared to run to the middle—that would make them sitting ducks. The surviving teams were all moving toward the center from different directions, either crawling or crouch-running, trying not to expose themselves.

At this stage, any small hill or any tree could become the key factor deciding the battle.

"Want your M4 back?" Haimi asked again.

Qin An shook his head. "You keep it."

Haimi couldn't help but marvel inwardly. Damn, that confidence isn't something just anyone can have!

At first, Haimi and Old P didn't think Qin An was that strong. During training, Qin An hadn't shown his true skill, and Haimi had mistakenly thought he was on the same level as himself.

But after this first match, both Haimi and Old P realized they were wrong—and completely wrong!

Haimi had dueled Hason with snipers before. He knew that suffocating pressure all too well. Facing an opponent whose aim completely outclassed yours, what good was even the best gear?

But after seeing Qin An's marksmanship, Haimi felt that the people Qin An had taken down probably felt the same way he did—maybe even more oppressed!

Because up to now, Qin An hadn't lost a single point of health. He'd only symbolically drunk two energy drinks.

If you had to sum up his strength, it came down to two words: fast and accurate!

Peek, snap-scope, headshot, duck back into cover—Qin An could complete this entire sequence in a fraction of a second. Paired with a suppressor, it was truly ghostlike. The enemy would be down before they even saw where the shot came from.

It sounded simple, but executing it was incredibly hard. Haimi knew that very well.

"Qin An, how did you practice that snap-shot technique?" Haimi asked curiously, since there were no enemies in sight.

Qin An thought for a moment. "Uh, no choice. Back when I used to play, if I peeked for even half a second longer, I'd be dead. I had to be fast."

Haimi: "???"

Old P commented, "I don't know what you've been through, but judging by your snap-shot speed, it's so practiced it's almost heartbreaking..."

...

The circle kept shrinking, and the number of players dwindled.

By now, four teams remained in the safe zone: Qin An's team of three, Hason alone, plus a duo and a full squad of four.

The next safe zone refreshed, and both Old P and Haimi frowned. "An unlucky circle!"

The spot where Old P and the others were lying was the farthest from the white circle, and the center of the white circle was a small slope with a rock.

Qin An looked toward the southwest, where white smoke was already rising. He vaguely remembered that was where the four-man squad was.

That full squad clearly understood the importance of that rock. They threw out all their smoke grenades to block vision, preparing to charge up the slope and seize the advantageous terrain first!

Qin An didn't fire. Obviously, the team was wary of him—the smoke grenades completely blocked his line of sight.

Zou Zhuo, watching from the observer perspective, couldn't help but panic. "What do we do now?"

If that four-man squad grabbed the rock, Qin An and his team would be in a dangerous spot.

Qin An's aim was excellent, but if the enemy stubbornly hid behind the rock and refused to come out, what could he do?

They'd have to risk a desperate charge, but with the enemy having cover, their chances of winning would be abysmally low.

Qin An said, "They might not make it down that slope. Don't forget, there's still one person alive."

Just as the four were about to reach the rock, the sound of a 98k rang out from behind it!

"Bang!"

Among the four, the squad leader carrying a fully kitted M4 was downed instantly by a headshot. He only had a level 2 helmet, so he went down immediately.

The other three hesitated for a split second, and then a dark gun barrel poked out from behind the rock!

Left peek, right peek, controlled spray!

Each time Hason peeked, it was only for a fraction of a second. He was right at the side of the rock, giving him excellent visibility from both sides. With a red dot sight and a fully kitted M4, almost every bullet hit the head. All four were taken down!

They tried to fight back, but Hason's peeks were so brief that by the time their bullets flew toward him, he'd already popped out from the other side to continue attacking.

One man wiped out the entire squad!

In just five seconds, that four-man team was completely eliminated, without even realizing what hit them!

Hason took a few stray bullets, but he had plenty of meds. He just hid behind the rock and healed back to full health.
