Chapter 470: An Epic Bladder-Busting Match

Many were sweating bullets, yet a flicker of hope ignited in their hearts.
Although this was a large map, making it nearly impossible to exhaust all the gold mines, still… what if?
What if all the resources on the entire map were mined dry, dragging the game into a scrappy endgame? Maybe Chen Mo would have a chance!
If both sides had equal economies, the Undead did have some advantage over the Night Elves. Add in Chen Mo’s godly micro… could it actually be possible?

Fifteen minutes.
Thirty minutes.
One hour!

In the game, Silent’s Undead and Origin’s Night Elves fought from the left side of the map to the right, from the bottom to the top. Small skirmishes broke out when small forces met, and massive battles erupted when the main armies clashed!
And neither side was playing on a single front—they were both multi-tasking! At the peak, they were fighting in five or six places simultaneously, without interfering with each other!
You destroy one of my expansions, I destroy one of yours. You ambush me here, I immediately retaliate over there!

At the start, Chen Mo was consistently at a disadvantage, nearly getting crushed by Origin several times. But after Chen Mo managed to hold on and play defensively, it seemed like he had turned the tide?
As the Undead heroes gradually leveled up, the high-level Death Knight and Lich became terrifyingly powerful. Chen Mo went from being forced into passive defense and guerrilla tactics to seemingly being able to face Origin head-on in direct engagements!

The audience’s necks were sore from watching, and the casters’ voices were hoarse, but this marathon battle showed no signs of ending anytime soon!

“Holy crap, what the hell is this? It’s been an hour already!”
“Chen Mo isn’t even human! He’s still maintaining this APM after all this time? I really want to know if his hands are cramping up!”
“I feel like both sides are really going to mine out every gold mine on the map…”
“If they do, that’s good for Chen Mo! High-level Undead heroes never come out on the losing end.”
“Hard to say… The Death Knight and Lich are both level six, but the Night Elf’s Demon Hunter and Warden are also level six!”
“This is turning into a clash of gods! I’ve never seen such an epic bladder-busting match before…”
“Go Chen Mo! Just one last push!”

As the battle entered its final phase, the fight became white-hot!
After repeated back-and-forth struggles, the gold mines on the map were finally exhausted! Sounds unbelievable, right? All those expansion mines on a huge map, all mined dry?
But that was exactly what happened. After nearly an hour of this super bladder-busting match, every mine that could be contested was basically empty!
And even more brutal, the Night Elves had uprooted all their Ancients to join the fight, and the Undead had sold off every building they could!
Both sides were determined to fight to the last man…

During this time, who knew how many tug-of-war battles had occurred? Some mines changed hands three times, and only after there was almost no gold left did both sides finally back off.
With both sides’ income completely cut off, everyone focused on the state of their armies.

On Chen Mo’s Undead side, the three heroes were all high-level, especially the Lich, who was loaded with excellent items and boasted explosive combat power.
He still had some buildings left, but he couldn’t sell them all—otherwise, the enemy would just rush in and destroy his base. That would be a disaster!
On Origin’s side, they had a high-level Demon Hunter and Warden, along with a slightly lower-level third hero, the Dark Ranger.
Origin’s first hero was the Demon Hunter solely because they couldn’t predict Chen Mo’s random race. Otherwise, the Warden or Dark Ranger would have been better choices.
This actually turned into a small advantage for the random race…

In terms of hero combat power, Chen Mo had the edge, but in terms of army size and population, Origin had the advantage.
Both sides knew that dragging things out any longer was pointless. All the mines on the map were empty—what was there to wait for? This final team fight would decide everything!

Both sides went all-in, bringing everything that could move from their bases.
Origin’s Wisps could detonate to drain enemy heroes’ mana, so as soon as the ultimate battle began, they charged straight at the Undead heroes and self-destructed wildly.
Chen Mo couldn’t do the same with his Ghouls and Acolytes, because against the Night Elves’ max-upgrade, high-tier units, they wouldn’t just be useless—they’d feed experience to the enemy heroes. So Chen Mo simply pulled his Ghouls away and sent them to destroy Origin’s base.
Even though Origin’s Ancients had already been uprooted and were fighting, posing no threat to the Ghouls, the fortified armor of the buildings meant the Ghouls could gnaw at them for an eternity without finishing them off!
Chen Mo didn’t bother thinking about that. At least he was giving those little minions something to do!

The spectators watching the livestream were all stunned. They had never seen such a brutal fight before!
“Holy crap, Chen Mo actually held out this long! How did he do it?!”
“He really did mine out every gold mine on the map! Now it all comes down to who wins this team fight!”
“These six heroes are literally gods fighting!”
“Looks like Chen Mo has the advantage! That Lich’s damage output is insane!”
“But Origin isn’t weak either! That Demon Hunter and Warden have the population advantage!”
“The Demon Hunter’s Metamorphosis is over! That Death Knight’s healing is incredible—he actually kept the Lich alive?”
“It’s a hero showdown! Chen Mo’s units are almost all dead, and that Death Knight is still kiting like crazy!”
“I feel like Chen Mo’s micro… is even better now?”
“No kidding! All the units are dead, just the Death Knight and Lich left. With only two heroes to control, with Chen Mo’s godly APM, he’s bound to pull off some insane moves!”
“Same for Origin!”

The longer the fight went on, the fewer units both sides had to control, but their micro was on full display! Even Chen Mo’s Lich was kiting and auto-attacking like crazy, practically playing like an ADC!
Soon, heroes on both sides began to fall one by one!

There was no retreating now. If they backed off, the enemy would chase them down, and it would be a total rout. The final team fight was exceptionally brutal. First, the third heroes—the Dark Ranger on both sides—fell. Then, the Demon Hunter and Death Knight went down almost simultaneously. The Undead Lich, completely out of mana, relied on its Orb’s normal attack to deal damage, and just as it killed the Warden, it was taken out by the Avatar of Vengeance!
But the Avatar of Vengeance was just a summoned unit from the Warden. When its duration expired, it vanished automatically!

All the spectators looked at each other in confusion.
What the hell? How do you call that?
All the heroes and units on both sides were dead. Neither side had any gold left. There was no way to revive heroes or build more units.
Was this… a draw?!

Just as everyone was dumbfounded, the camera suddenly panned to an Ancient of War at one of Origin’s expansions.
That Ancient of War… stood up! And then it slowly began walking toward Chen Mo’s base!
Everyone: “…”
