Chapter 119: Group Beatdown?

Digua’s Human race was still playing the standard way: the Archmage summoned Water Elementals, quickly leveled up with Militia, and expanded to a second base.

Silent’s Night Elf, on the other hand, pulled a fancy trick. He placed the War of the Ancients, which produces Archers, right next to the first creep camp. After the Pandaren Brewmaster came out, he used the Archers, along with the uprooted War of the Ancients, to clear the first camp.

This was basically his go-to strategy whenever he played Night Elf, so the audience was used to it. The new twist this time was starting with the Pandaren Brewmaster, which was the main focus of everyone’s attention.

“Wow, Silent’s scouting Wisp already spotted the Human’s movements and knows they’re fast-expanding, but the Pandaren Brewmaster is still just grinding levels. Is he going to contest the expansion?”

“No! Silent has no intention of expanding at all. He’s mass-producing basic units. He’s planning to apply early-game pressure!”

“Here it comes, here it comes! The Pandaren Brewmaster hits level 3 and immediately charges straight at the Human’s expansion with a bunch of Archers and mercenaries! Wow, the demolition crew is here!”

Digua was shocked too. He originally thought Silent would go with the standard Demon Hunter start, but by the time he discovered the Night Elf’s Pandaren Brewmaster, it was already level 2 and quickly hit level 3!

A level 3 Pandaren Brewmaster led a massive swarm of Archers straight to the expansion. By then, the Human expansion had only built three Arrow Towers.

After all, in the early game, you couldn’t build that many towers. Three was already a decent number.

The Pandaren Brewmaster charged ahead, aimed at the three Arrow Towers clustered together and the five or six Peasants, and spat out a stream of fire!

“Whoosh!”

With that one breath of fire, combined with a volley from the Night Elf’s ranged units, the towers’ health dropped by half!

Silent hadn’t upgraded his base or expanded. He just mass-produced Archers and bought any Green-skinned and Yellow-skinned mercenaries from the Mercenary Camp whenever he could. Meanwhile, the Human was busy expanding and building towers, so their armies weren’t even in the same league.

Digua panicked too. As soon as he saw the Pandaren Brewmaster, he knew something was wrong. He immediately started building an Arcane Tower at the expansion, but it was too late. The Pandaren Brewmaster was incredibly aggressive, saving all his mana for Breath of Fire. Each breath hit two to three towers and many Peasants. After two breaths, all the towers were destroyed!

Digua scrambled, building towers and upgrading Defend, but he only had the Archmage and Footmen. The gap in army size was just too huge. He barely managed to repel the first attack, but after the Pandaren Brewmaster used Town Portal, drank from the Moon Well, and came back with full health and mana!

On the second attack, Digua had no choice but to abandon his expansion.

What made it even worse was that the Night Elf only had a single hero, the Pandaren Brewmaster. After killing so many Peasants, the hero’s level was already unstoppable. The high-level Breath of Fire became a nightmare for the Human.

Soon, after losing his expansion, Digua reluctantly typed “gg.”

There was no point in playing anymore. The Human’s expansion never got off the ground, and he had fed too much experience. The Pandaren Brewmaster could burn anything it touched, and there was no stopping it.

The barrage of comments was stunned too. What was going on? Did he just tear down Digua’s towers that easily?

The turtling tower-rush tactic that had been dominating multiple races all night was broken just like that? By a single Pandaren Brewmaster?

“What the hell? I just realized how fragile Human towers are! One breath of fire and they lose half their health!”

“The worst part is it burns your Peasants too. They don’t even dare come close to repair!”

“Actually, do you think it would’ve been better if Digua built a couple more Arcane Towers?”

“Definitely better, but Digua didn’t know the opponent would start with a Pandaren Brewmaster!”

“Even if he did, look at how fast the Pandaren Brewmaster burns towers. Two breaths and they’re gone!”

“Damn, this Silent is a freak. Yesterday he used that tactic to crush Wanfeng, and today he breaks his own tactic? Awesome.”

“Don’t stop me, I’m a Silent fan now!”

Digua was a bit helpless too. Honestly, he never saw this playstyle coming. Especially the Night Elf starting with a Pandaren Brewmaster, combined with Moon Well water to restore health and mana. The early-game pressure was too strong. The Pandaren Brewmaster’s Breath of Fire was a nightmare for Footmen, Peasants, and towers alike.

Just then, Digua received a private message from Wanfeng.

Wanfeng: “He got you too?”

Digua: “Sigh, yeah. Barely put up a fight. Feels like my IQ got crushed.”

Wanfeng: “Kaiser and the others are watching too. Honestly, this Silent isn’t just about mechanics. His strategies are brutal.”

Digua: “But there’s a silver lining. At least it proves the Human tower-rush tactic isn’t invincible.”

Wanfeng: “I’ve already called in all the top players I could. All above 3700 points. This afternoon, we’ll queue together. I refuse to believe that with all of us together, we can’t beat him.”

Digua was stunned: “Huh? How do we do that together?”

Wanfeng: “Whoever gets matched against him plays. The rest watch and study! We’re basically sharing intel. Mainly, I looked up his ID yesterday. This guy wasn’t in the ‘Legion Conquest’ scene at all, which means his RTS foundation is worse than ours. Losing like this is just too humiliating!”

Digua: “But we really can’t beat him!”

Wanfeng: “That’s not the point. His strategies are the main thing. For guys like us, it’s not like we can’t fight him head-on. We’re just getting outplayed by his tactics. I got worn down by towers, and you got caught off guard by the Pandaren Brewmaster. But he can’t have an infinite number of tricks, right? With all of us testing out his strategies and being prepared, we’re bound to win at least one, right?”

Digua: “Hmm… that makes sense.”

Wanfeng: “Besides, he’s on a perfect win streak right now. After beating you, he’s at over 3780 points. He’s about to hit the top of the leaderboard! What does a perfect win streak to the top mean? It means he’s wiping the floor with all of us. Can we tolerate that?”

Digua: “Damn! A perfect win streak to the top? That’s absolutely unacceptable!”

Wanfeng: “So we can’t back down!”

Digua: “Yeah, no backing down!”

After all, the top RTS circle only had about a dozen people. They all knew each other, and they quickly reached a consensus: they had to teach this Silent a lesson!

If he really did reach the top with a perfect win streak, how could these pros hold their heads up? It would be too embarrassing to talk about!

After lunch, Chen Mo continued playing ranked matches.

Chen Mo had no idea these people were ganging up to beat him. He just felt like he was getting matched against opponents much faster today.

“Huh? Instant queue? Usually, it takes over five minutes to find a match, right?” Chen Mo didn’t think much of it and continued selecting Random Race to start the game.

In reality, several players above 3700 points were queuing at the same time as him. Of course, the queue would be fast!

The barrage of comments was shocked too. What was going on today? A clash of gods? Those top players who rarely showed up were all active, and none of them were playing—they were all spectating!

“This, this, this… A god-slaying war? Are the ten supreme gods trying to suppress the new god?”

“Whoa, is this going to turn into a Ragnarok?”

“Seriously, so many top players are just waiting to face Silent. That’s so awesome. If I were Silent, I’d brag about this for a lifetime!”

“I’ve decided. I’m skipping this afternoon’s class too. I have to watch this war of the gods!!”

“Another match started! This time Silent is using the Undead!”
