Chapter 1111: The Quest Line and the History of the Plaguelands (First Update)
After fighting for a long time, Zou Zhuo and the others saluted Davy. Although they belonged to different factions, their longing for beautiful things and their hatred for the Scourge were the same.
Zou Zhuo walked up to Pamela. The little girl hopped and skipped joyfully: "The battle is over! I heard my father talking to me. He scared away all the ghosts, and he said he was on his way home! I'm so happy! So I brewed some tea, and I hope you like tea with lots of sugar."
Pamela handed the heavily sugared tea to everyone.
Lin Xue looked at the teacup in her hand and felt like crying.
Poor little girl. She probably thought that tea with lots of sugar was the best thing in the world, right?
No one drank it. Instead, they all placed the teacups into their magic bags, intending to treasure them forever.
Pamela also gave everyone a key. This key could open the chest behind the room.
Zou Zhuo opened it and exclaimed, "Oh my god, three pieces of blue equipment! A necklace, a ring, and an off-hand item! Ah, too bad only the ring is suitable for me."
Lin Xue angrily smacked Zou Zhuo on the head: "You little fatty, you're such a mood killer! The little girl's soul gaining freedom is the real matter here, and you're still thinking about equipment, you scumbag!"
Old P looked at the off-hand item in his hand: "Really, the quality of these pieces of equipment is very good, especially this necklace."
"Is that so? Let me see too." Lin Xue happily put on the necklace and the ring.
Just then, a figure walked toward them.
"Father?" Pamela was stunned for a moment, then rushed out joyfully.
Joseph Redpath: "Pamela? Darling, are you there?"
Pamela Redpath: "Father! You're back!"
"Father, let's go play! I'll tell you a story! No, let's go pick flowers, then drink tea. I found my doll..."
"I missed you so much... Father..."
Joseph Redpath: "I missed you too, darling. I've finally come home..."
The father and daughter hugged each other tightly, their souls gradually fading away.
Lin Xue felt a sting in her nose. If this weren't in the game world but in the real world, she would probably be crying her eyes out by now.
"So, the father no longer bears his sins, and the daughter is no longer lonely... That's good. I hope they can be happy in heaven..."
Lin Xue looked at her adventure manual: "So, let's hurry up and level up! We still need to go to Stratholme to help Old Man Fordring get back that painting!"

Many players' first reaction to the Eastern and Western Plaguelands is: annoying.
Indeed, these two maps are hard for players to like. They are even more repulsive than Tirisfal Glades. Everywhere is scorched earth corrupted by the Scourge, ruined towns, undead creatures everywhere, plague cauldrons set up on farms. Besides the undead, there are hellhounds, bats, and disgusting maggots.
Moreover, the monsters here appear in clusters and have an extremely high aggression level. Andorhal in the Western Plaguelands has many quests, but it's occupied by a lich named Araj. Players passing through will be attacked indiscriminately, and one careless mistake means dying here.
The Bulwark in the Eastern Plaguelands is a necessary path for many heading to the Argent Dawn, but it's also filled with all kinds of undead monsters. Players have to tread carefully when passing through. One wrong move and you'll get knocked off your mount and have to run back to your corpse. Reviving in the middle of a group of monsters is also extremely painful; dragging your corpse to revive is a common occurrence.
It can be said that the Eastern Plaguelands map takes unfriendliness toward players to the extreme. On this map, players have to face the powerful Scourge, endure discomfort to complete various quests, and often encounter hostile opposing factions. The gaming experience is terrible.
However, this is also like a reminder to players: You're level 55 now. You're about to become an adult. You need to try to be strong.
This kind of "growth" is more of a change in mentality. Doing quests and leveling up without any pressure is just childhood. It's in the Plaguelands and Silithus that players truly grow up.
But after a deep experience, the vast majority of players will remember the quests in the Plaguelands vividly.
Because the storyline of the Plaguelands and the Kingdom of Lordaeron can be said to run through the entire story of the Lich King. This place is by no means just a map for leveling up.
In the Eastern and Western Plaguelands, players can see many elements related to the storyline. The entire place is closely tied to the history of Azeroth.
In the south of the Western Plaguelands, on the west side of Darrowmere Lake, is the famous town of Andorhal. It was one of the earliest human settlements in the Kingdom of Lordaeron to be infected with the undead plague. It was once a grain trading center, but now it has fallen into a gathering place for the Scourge.
During the Third War, Arthas fought desperately to save this small town from the threat of the undead. But later, after Arthas became a Death Knight, he personally destroyed it. Uther the Lightbringer was killed here by Arthas. Arthas took King Terenas' urn and used it to resurrect the lich Kel'Thuzad.
The level 61 elite monster, Lich Araj, is entrenched in this town. Players will receive a quest called "Ah, Andorhal," with the goal of defeating Araj and seizing his phylactery.
In the north of the Western Plaguelands is Hearthglen, which is now the military headquarters of the western Scarlet Crusade. They frantically attack anyone they believe is carrying the plague. Old Fordring's son, Taelan Fordring, nominally controls this place, but High Inquisitor Isillien is the actual ruler of the Scarlet Crusade.
In Caer Darrow, a vacation spot where Old Fordring often took his child, the Barov family made a pact with Kel'Thuzad to protect their treasures. As a result, their mansion became Scholomance. Filthy monsters roam the estate, dark cultists perform rituals day and night, and Darkmaster Gandling sends his graduates to Stratholme to serve the Scourge.
To the south of Sorrow Hill, there is a place blessed by the Light: the Tomb of Uther. The first paladin and founder of the Silver Hand, Uther, rests here. A high priest named Seldanis guards him day and night, and will attack any Horde members who come near without hesitation.
The locations in the Eastern Plaguelands are even more well-known. Here is the famous Stratholme, where Arthas raised his blade against his own people and decided to march on Northrend, ultimately stepping onto the path of no return step by step.
Around Stratholme, various necropolises stand tall. The trees here have been severely eroded, so it's called the Plaguewood. Darrowshire, the unnamed crypt, the Scar of the Blight, the Bulwark, Tyr's Hand, the Chapel of the Holy Light... Every place has a unique history, all traceable back to the period when the Scourge ravaged Lordaeron.
