Chapter 1091: Helcular's Revenge (Second Update)
Players experiencing the thrill of PvP for the first time were utterly hooked, and the Alliance and Horde engaged in a protracted tug-of-war.
Horde players fought hard to push the front line to the gates of Southshore, while Alliance players struggled just as fiercely to shove it back to Tarren Mill.
At first, because there were more Horde players, the Alliance was at a complete disadvantage. However, with those two players with especially long names holding the line from behind, they barely managed to maintain a balance in the battle. Later, as Alliance reinforcements came running in from Wetlands, the fight gradually turned into a stalemate.
And the front line wasn't just confined to the area between Southshore and Tarren Mill. With the Alliance and Horde locked in such intense conflict, how could players doing quests in the wild escape unscathed?
Killing someone earned honor kills, and with the enmity between Alliance and Horde, why wouldn't they kill any enemy player they saw?
This turned into a vicious cycle: players trying to do quests couldn't complete them and joined the PvP factions, while PvP players grew more and more furious, frantically calling for reinforcements...
The front line pushed to Southshore once again, and Zou Zhuo suddenly had a flash of inspiration. Didn't he have a quest he could turn in near Southshore?
"Cover me for a bit. I need to turn in a quest," Zou Zhuo said as he crept toward the Southshore graveyard.
Old P and Lin Xue were both stunned. "Little fatty, are you kidding me? We're in the middle of a brutal fight, and you want to turn in a quest?!"
Zou Zhuo replied, "The thing is, this quest has to be turned in at Southshore! If I don't do it now, how could I ever come back here alone? There are so many high-level guards. Now that the Alliance has been drawn away, you guys need to help me out."
Old P and Lin Xue were a bit exasperated, but after thinking it over, they had to admit Zou Zhuo had a point. So the four of them ran over and helped Zou Zhuo lure away the high-level Alliance NPCs at the graveyard.
"Hurry up... I feel like I'm about to get chopped to death any second..."
Old P urged as he ran. Their levels were still low, and it would only take a few hits from these high-level NPCs to kill them.
Zou Zhuo arrived at the quest tombstone and aimed the fully charged Helcular's Rod at the grave.
A powerful surge of energy burst forth from the rod. At the same time, Zou Zhuo felt the ground beneath his feet rumble with a deafening roar and begin to shake!
"Revenge!!!"
An unfamiliar voice shouted loudly.
Zou Zhuo was startled. He watched as the grave before him—which seemed simple enough to handle—actually turned out to be extremely difficult in practice. This elven hunter was running with his back to Helcular, then at the moment of his jump, he spun 180 degrees, fired an arrow that struck Helcular dead-on, then spun another 180 degrees in midair before landing, continuing to run forward. He then pulled another arrow from behind his back and repeated the cycle.
Alliance and Horde players watching from a distance were stunned. Hunters could play like this?!
The night elf's movements were incredibly agile, and he even performed a front flip while jumping—it was a thing of beauty.
And to complete two 180-degree spins in midair while maintaining pinpoint accuracy at extreme range with his arrows... was this guy even human?!
