Chapter 849: Lu Baoyou and Fang Mo

"Nothing different about it." Lin Qiye smiled faintly. "We'll always be the new recruits who walked out of this camp."

"Hehe, don't just stand there. Sit down and try some. This dinner was specially prepared to welcome you back."

Old Sun brought the dishes to the table one by one. Steam rose from the just-cooked food, mingling with the aroma of the dishes—spicy crayfish, stir-fried clams, chicken stewed with mushrooms, and three fresh vegetables from the garden. In a short while, nine dishes and one soup were neatly arranged on the table for Lin Qiye and the others, making the other new recruits' eyes go wide.

The sound of swallowing saliva echoed one after another.

"Aren't there normal meals right here? Why can't we eat those?"

Among the new recruits, someone couldn't help but protest.

Before Lin Qiye and the others could respond, Old Sun turned back and glared at the complaining recruit. "When you walk out of this training camp and can come back, I'll make you a whole table of dishes just like this!"

Lin Qiye and the others picked up their chopsticks, glanced at each other, and smiled without saying a word.

Intimidated by the authority Lin Qiye and his team projected, no one among the new recruits dared to cause trouble anymore. They could only sulkily chew on the raw meat and "funny fish cakes" from their trays before shuffling toward the teaching building.

"Old Sun's cooking skills are absolutely amazing." Cao Yuan picked up a piece of clam with his chopsticks, sucked on it, and couldn't help but exclaim. "It feels so familiar..."

"Who would've thought we'd have our turn sitting here someday." Baili Pangpang grinned. "Back when I was a kid, watching the Mask Squad sit here, I was so envious."

"By the way, I wonder how the Mask Squad's vacation is going."

"Probably having a great time? I heard they went to Hainan."

"Counting the time, their vacation should be ending soon..." Lin Qiye thought for a moment. "By the way, who's teaching the new recruits tonight?"

"It's me." An Qingyu said. "Tonight I'm teaching them about the characteristics and structural basics of 'Mysteries.' I need to borrow a few of your men to serve as teaching references."

An Qingyu paused and added, "Don't worry, I won't dissect them—just use them as a reference."

"No problem." Lin Qiye agreed readily.

Teaching Building.

In an empty classroom, Lu Baoyou sat alone at the window seat in the first row, leaning back in his chair, staring at the bright moon outside the window, lost in thought.

Creak—!

The classroom door opened.

As if sensing something, Lu Baoyou frowned slightly and turned to look.

Fang Mo walked calmly into the classroom, locked the door behind him with his back to it, and strode toward Lu Baoyou's position.

"It's you?" Lu Baoyou narrowed his eyes slightly, dangerous light flickering in his gaze. "Did you come to pick a fight?"

"No." Fang Mo shook his head. "Don't lump me together with a brute like you. Since Seventh Master decided to bring you back, of course I won't have any objections. I support every choice Seventh Master makes."

"Then what did you come here for?"

Fang Mo didn't answer immediately. He slowly walked to Lu Baoyou's desk and, like lightning, drew a short blade from his chest and slammed it into the desk.

The blade reflected the pale moonlight, shining brightly on Lu Baoyou's face, killing intent radiating in all directions.

Lu Baoyou's frown deepened. He rose from his chair, staring straight at Fang Mo before him. In his right eye, a furious scarlet red appeared.

"I won't start trouble first, nor will I make things difficult for you." Fang Mo's expression remained unchanged as he stared coldly into Lu Baoyou's right eye. "But I will be watching you closely. I know the identity of the god you serve as proxy for. If you dare harm Seventh Master, even if it means defying Seventh Master's orders, I will kill you!"

"Oh?" Lu Baoyou's eyes narrowed as he coldly laughed. "Is that so? What makes you think you're qualified? Just who do you think you are?"

A pair of dark red wing phantoms condensed behind Lu Baoyou. His right eye burned crimson red, and violent Fallen Angel divine power burst forth, instantly filling the entire classroom, crashing against Fang Mo like a tidal wave.

Fang Mo stood calmly in the midst of the surging violent divine power, unyielding as a boulder, unmoved.

The next moment, faint white light dispersed from his body. A serene yet resolute, imperious and solitary divine power rolled out from within him, like a surging river of divine power, colliding head-on with Lu Baoyou's Fallen Angel divine power!

One strand dark red, one strand pale white—two completely different divine powers疯狂摩擦涌动 in the cramped classroom, clashing with equal force.

"Great Xia god?" Lu Baoyou felt the divine power fluctuation emanating from Fang Mo, his expression growing solemn. "You're a proxy of a Great Xia god?"

Fang Mo stood quietly at the center of the divine power river, not bothering to answer him at all. The short blade embedded in Lu Baoyou's desk was vibrating violently from the collision of the two divine powers, and the desk surface was covered in jagged cracks.

At that moment, outside the classroom.

Zhao Kongcheng, Su Zhe, and Su Yuan happened to be walking together toward the classroom. They froze at the door, feeling the terrifying power fluctuations emanating from within, and exchanged bewildered glances.

"Wait... what's going on here?" Su Zhe couldn't help but低声问道. "Are they fighting in there?"

"Duh, can't you feel it? They're about to tear that classroom apart." Su Yuan rolled her eyes.

"Should we go in and break it up?"

"Break it up? You'd need ten of you combined to stand a chance against either of them."

"What— Su Yuan, are you underselling your big brother?"

While the siblings bickered, Zhao Kongcheng stood at the classroom door, raising his hand several times to knock, but ultimately lowered it each time.

The collision of divine powers inside the classroom was simply too terrifying. If they rushed in rashly, they might get injured for nothing... Better to call an instructor to handle this.

Zhao Kongcheng turned to leave, just as a figure slowly walked over from the end of the corridor.

The third wave of divine power fluctuation suddenly descended!

The moment this third fluctuation appeared, both Lu Baoyou and Fang Mo inside the classroom simultaneously froze, turning to look toward the door.

Bang—!

The classroom door was kicked open. Li Zhenzhen gripped a golden heart-shaped bow and arrow, standing behind the door with her arrow tip pointed at both of them, frowning:

"Stop it right there!"

Seeing the heart-shaped bow and arrow, Fang Mo's eyes narrowed. After hesitating for a moment, he pulled the short blade from the desk, and the divine power fluctuation around him gradually receded.

"If you want to fight, go to the sparring arena." Li Zhenzhen waved away the heart-shaped bow and arrow, speaking with obvious displeasure. "You're blocking the classroom like this—how are we supposed to have class later?"

Seeing Fang Mo withdraw, Lu Baoyou snorted coldly and also retracted his own divine power. The turbulent energy fluctuations inside the classroom gradually settled.

"Sigh..." Zhao Kongcheng looked at Li Zhenzhen in front of him, then at Lu Baoyou and Fang Mo locked in confrontation inside the classroom, and couldn't help but sigh.

"How are there so many monsters in this training camp?"
