**Chapter 507: The Second One**

Osiris was slain beneath the Six Paths of Reincarnation. The remnants of the Netherworld of Death around him lost all control and shattered into the void.

The Emperor of Fengdu stepped forward to the edge of the Netherworld of Death, reached out into the void, and grasped. Aside from the stolen fragment of Fengdu, the Netherworld of Death that originally belonged to Osiris itself was also drawn into the shadow of Fengdu behind the Emperor, gradually solidifying.

The entire Netherworld of Death was annexed by Fengdu.

The one-fifth fragment of Fengdu that had been seized by Osiris finally returned to the Emperor of Fengdu’s hands—along with a portion of Egypt’s underworld laws, paid back with interest.

As the shadow of Fengdu was restored, the Emperor’s divine power began to surge. A majestic imperial might echoed through the skies, stirring an instinctive urge to kneel and worship.

Fengdu had always been part of the Emperor’s strength. Now that the stolen fragment had returned, his power was rapidly recovering. Though still far from his peak, it was a major step forward.

In truth, the Emperor of Fengdu, newly awakened and robbed of his fragment, had been extremely weak. Without the Six Paths of Reincarnation—an artifact imbued with Great Xia’s laws—and Zhou Ping’s assistance, slaying Osiris would have been nearly impossible.

Fortunately, the Egyptian god of death ultimately perished under Great Xia’s laws.

With a light wave of his hand, a black coffin materialized from the shadow of Fengdu behind him. It flew into the air and collected Osiris’s headless body.

The corpse of a god could not be handled carelessly. Even though Osiris had been erased by the Six Paths of Reincarnation, his divine body still contained Egypt’s laws. Left unchecked, it could irreversibly affect the surrounding environment.

Moreover, if another death god obtained the corpse, Osiris could still be resurrected. The Emperor would never allow that.

Besides, the corpse had other uses for him.

“I told you,” the Emperor said calmly, staring at Osiris’s wide-eyed head in the coffin, “I will take back everything you stole… one by one.”

He raised his gaze toward the horizon.

“Three more left…”

“Cough, cough…”

Nearby, Zhou Ping slowly sheathed the Dragon-Elephant Sword, his face still pale as he coughed softly.

The Emperor turned to him. “Are you alright?”

“It’s nothing… just a minor injury.” Zhou Ping waved it off. “If there’s nothing else, I’ll be going.”

The Emperor opened his mouth to speak, but Zhou Ping had already vanished without a trace—no interest in further conversation.

The Emperor stared after him with a strange expression and sighed.

“Kids these days… no manners at all.”

**The Manor.**

Though Lin Qiye and the others hadn’t witnessed Osiris’s death firsthand, they could clearly sense that the divine power once belonging to Osiris had vanished from the sky.

“He’s dead?” Baili Pangpang asked cautiously.

“Uncle Li—the Emperor of Fengdu—made a move. That death god must’ve fallen,” Lin Qiye said, gazing at the faint imperial palace of Fengdu above the clouds, eyes full of emotion. “Never thought I’d see the Emperor take action again.”

“Can’t believe we just watched a god-level battle,” Baili Pangpang exclaimed excitedly toward the sky. “Uncle Li, you’re amazing!!”

Floating in the air, Jiang Er drifted curiously to An Qingyu’s side. The MP3 at her waist emitted a puzzled voice:

“You know that Great Xia god?”

“We do,” An Qingyu nodded. “In a way… we were the ones who released him.”

Jiang Er covered her mouth in shock.

First the Sword Saint, now a Great Xia god… Who *are* these people? Their backing is insane.

“Cough, cough…”

A cough sounded behind them. Lin Qiye and the others turned to see Zhou Ping standing quietly behind them, sword case on his back.

“Holy crap! Sword Saint, you’re incredible!!”

Baili Pangpang leapt in front of him, eyes sparkling.

Shen Qingzhu’s expression was subtle. After a moment, he spoke respectfully:

“This junior, Shen Qingzhu, greets the Great Xia Sword Saint.”

Zhou Ping expressionlessly pushed Baili Pangpang—who was nearly kissing his face—aside and glanced at Shen Qingzhu, nodding slightly.

“You’re the undercover agent?”

“…Yes.”

“Mm.” Zhou Ping gave a simple grunt. “Before I struck, I didn’t know which one was you. So I held back and only destroyed the altar.”

Shen Qingzhu’s mouth twitched. “Thank you, Sword Saint, for sparing my life…”

“You should get your friend to a hospital,” Zhou Ping said, glancing at the barely breathing Ninth Seat. “He’s in bad shape.”

Shen Qingzhu snapped back to attention, looked at the unconscious Ninth Seat, thanked Zhou Ping again, and hurried off with the man on his back.

“Bro…” Baili Pangpang opened his mouth as if to say something.

“Whatever it is, we’ll talk later.”

“…No, bro,” Baili Pangpang scratched his head. “I just meant—running to the hospital like that is too slow. Why not… ride Qiye’s dragon?”

Shen Qingzhu froze mid-step, turned his head stiffly:

“?”

**Northern Great Xia.**

**Tianhe City.**

**Deep in a primal forest.**

“It seems Yiyu’s side failed,” a woman said lazily, sitting on a thick branch. She opened her eyes as if sensing something.

“They couldn’t summon Osiris?”

Beneath the tree, an old man shrouded in shadow lifted his eyelids.

“They summoned him. But he was killed.”

The old man frowned. “Could it be the Great Xia gods aren’t repairing their divine laws as the evil gods predicted?”

“Hard to say. The ones who acted were the Great Xia Sword Saint and the recently awakened Emperor of Fengdu. None of the Great Xia gods who appeared a year ago showed up.”

The old man narrowed his eyes in thought.

“The Fengdu fragment was stolen, and the Emperor had just awakened—his strength shouldn’t have been enough to face Osiris. Yet he still took the risk. If the Great Xia gods were truly active, they wouldn’t have let an unrecovered god fight.”

“You mean… the Great Xia gods really are…” The woman’s eyes lit up.

The old man nodded silently.

“If that’s the case, Osiris didn’t die in vain.” He raised his head, a strange smile creasing his wrinkled face.

“At least… no one will disturb us now.”

Before him, in a gray, shattered valley,

a pure black, intact altar glowed faintly with dark light.
