# 1555
Chapter 1551: The Great Elder Makes His Move
Fifth Teaching Building, Room 609.
Li Yifei stood before the dim window, gazing at the roaring venue in the distance, his brow furrowed tightly.
Inside the classroom, the white shadows of the residual souls seemed to sense the terrifying battle aura from that battlefield, shrinking into the farthest corner of the room, their expressions full of panic and fear.
"What exactly is happening..." Li Yifei murmured to himself.
A moment later, Li Yifei gritted his teeth, about to step out of the classroom to take a look, when a petite white figure descended swiftly on spider silk, floating down from the rooftop.
"Director! Director!" A Zhu hung upside down on the silk, flying through the open window, and upon seeing Li Yifei, her eyes welled with tears as she crashed into his arms.
"A Zhu?"
Seeing A Zhu, Li Yifei unconsciously patted her head while asking in astonishment, "Why are you here? Where's Qiye?"
"The Dean is outside fighting the bad guys. He told me to find you and get you to the underground air-raid shelter nearby as quickly as possible."
"Shelter? What happened outside?"
"I can't explain it clearly... it's just really dangerous! When I was coming here, I saw several big pink bugs flying across the sky. They were so scary." A Zhu's face went pale as she seemed to recall something.
"Can I help somehow?"
"Ah, Director, you probably couldn't even beat me, let alone help... Just go quickly. If we don't leave now, it won't be too late." A Zhu urged anxiously.
"What about these residual souls..."
Before Li Yifei could finish, A Zhu transformed into a spider's round form, and a massive white spiderweb shot out, instantly enveloping all the residual souls in the classroom. Carrying them like kites, she jumped out the window with them.
A Zhu's true form was a Soul-Weaving Spider. Her webs could inherently attract and carry human souls, which was precisely why Lin Qiye had sent her to find Li Yifei. With A Zhu present, she could bring both Li Yifei and all the residual souls to take shelter.
Seeing this, Li Yifei followed closely, jumping down and racing along the flickering lights toward the underground air-raid shelter.
Whether it was because all the Migo had been drawn to the venue, the two of them ran all the way without encountering any monsters. They soon arrived at the air-raid shelter, where dense clusters of students and teachers lay on the ground, already fallen into slumber.
Li Yifei sat against a pillar, his guitar on his back, letting out a long sigh...
"That scared me to death... I thought I was going to be eaten by those big bugs before I could even find you." A Zhu's face was ashen as she plopped down beside Li Yifei, her small hands continuously patting her chest.
"...A Zhu, we're caregivers. Even if we die outside, we'll just return to the hospital. It'll just take more time to recover. There's no need to be so scared." Li Yifei couldn't help but say.
"But it hurts so much when you die."
Li Yifei knew A Zhu's temperament, so he sighed helplessly. Then, as if remembering something, he asked again:
"By the way, while I was away, how's the hospital been?"
"..."
When these words fell on A Zhu's ears, she felt a wave of委屈 rising in her heart. She gazed at Li Yifei with longing eyes, her eyes turning red.
"N-Not very well..."
Shangjing University, Evening Venue.
Lin Qiye's gaze swept across the surroundings, his body tense, his expression grave.
During the time he and Cao Yuan were away, they had each headed in different directions and killed two Migo that were closest to them. Adding the three that had just died at the evening venue, there were still nine Migo approaching this location.
Although this had reduced the original sixteen by nearly half, this number still made Lin Qiye and the other two feel immense pressure.
Lin Qiye gathered all the "Klein" level summoned creatures around An Qingyu and Lu Menglei. Although they couldn't defeat the Migo, their combined strength should be able to hold them off for a while. With the addition of Jiang Er hiding underground as the final line of defense, it should prevent the Migo from seizing an opportunity to slip through.
"Later, I'll handle four. The Thunder Beast handles three. Lao Cao, can you handle two?" Lin Qiye turned to look at Cao Yuan.
Cao Yuan caught the black box Lin Qiye tossed to him,无奈ly rolling his eyes at him.
"Who do you think you're looking down on... Three for me."
"When outnumbered, don't think about killing them. Just stall them. Chen Han will be arriving with reinforcements soon."
Before Lin Qiye finished speaking, from all directions in the night, the buzzing of membrane wings drew rapidly closer. They had not spread apart to gain speed but instead moved in tacit formation at a steady pace, like an arc of a circle, rapidly closing in on Lin Qiye and the others.
"Leaving no gaps at all..." Upon seeing this, Lin Qiye's eyes narrowed slightly.
"It's time to make our move."
"Meow—!"
Just as Lin Qiye and the other two were gathering their strength, a figure slowly walked into the venue.
It was an ordinary-looking middle-aged man. His appearance was so ghostly that not even Lin Qiye's spiritual perception had given any warning. When Lin Qiye caught sight of him in his peripheral vision, he froze for a moment, then shock appeared in his eyes!
"Teacher Song Jun?!"
Hearing this, Cao Yuan, An Qingyu, and Jiang Er all turned their heads simultaneously. The one walking slowly toward them was no one else but the homeroom teacher they had met on their very first day of school—Song Jun.
However, during the time they had been in school, Lin Qiye and the others had never seen him again, to the point where they had almost forgotten this person's existence.
Song Jun stepped onto the evening venue's grounds, his gaze sweeping across the nine Migo in the sky that were continuously closing in. He let out a helpless, long sigh, and a brilliant radiance blossomed from his body. His form gradually transformed, eventually revealing an old man with white beard and white hair.
The old man wore a white robe and gripped a Divine Punishment Whip. With a wave through the air, a divine light howled forth!
Bang—!!
A Migo shrieked and instantly shattered into blood mist across the sky.
The old man's eyes narrowed into slits, and a terrifying divine might suddenly descended. The Divine Punishment Whip cleaved through the air with buzzing sounds. Divine light flashed repeatedly as the Migo surrounding An Qingyu and the others shattered one after another into blood mist and dissipated into nothing.
In an instant, more than half of the nine Migo were killed or injured.
The remaining few seemed to sense the old man's terror. The spacetime around them rippled rapidly, their forms fading. Just as they were about to escape, an domain expanded instantly from beneath Lin Qiye's feet, forcibly driving them back out!
Several streaks of blood mist were shredded by the divine light. The air fell into deathly silence once more. In less than half a minute, all nine Migo had been completely wiped out.
Lin Qiye and the others exchanged glances, and joy appeared on their faces!
"That was..." Lu Menglei stared blankly at the old man in the white robe, descended like a deity, and asked in bewilderment.
"That's Great Xia's Jiang Taigong." Cao Yuan walked to her side, explaining, "The Chief of all Gods from the mythological stories."
"So... gods really exist?" Lu Menglei opened her mouth wide, puzzled. "But... why would Jiang Taigong be disguised as our school's homeroom teacher?"
Cao Yuan didn't answer, because he didn't know the answer to that question either.
Having killed nine Migo in one breath and resolved this crisis, Jiang Ziya's face showed no joy whatsoever. He gripped the Divine Punishment Whip in his hand, his gaze fixed on An Qingyu, who was sitting in the wheelchair, as he walked toward her step by step...
