Chapter 1303: Destiny

Wish granted. Nuclear missile launch.

This was the wish Mumoo had just made to the [Holy Grail].

Mumoo was a summoned creature from another dimension. It couldn't understand concepts like Forbidden Ruins, God's Ruins, or deities that Lin Qiye and the others knew. In its认知世界, the most powerful weapon of destruction could only be one thing: the nuclear bomb.

As two afterimages streaked across the clouds, two blazing orbs exploded silently in the sky, instantly engulfing Hela's form and the漫天 of deathly aura, as if someone had used torches to burn two massive holes in the sky.

The next moment, an earth-shaking explosion echoed across all of Asgard.

Throughout their respective temples, the many lesser gods who had chosen self-preservation felt their expressions shift. They all turned their gaze skyward toward those two blazing fireballs in unison.

It was an explosion they had never witnessed before. Unlike the detonations caused by deities or divine artifacts, they detected no divine energy whatsoever within it... That phenomenon existed entirely outside the realm of mythology.

As the flames in the sky gradually faded away, Lin Qiye's body finally finished reforming. He called out to Mumoo, who immediately transformed back into the bandaged dwarf and returned to him.

Relying on the map from his memory, Lin Qiye mounted his Somersault Cloud and flew directly toward Bifröst.

Calculating the timing, Number Twenty-Two should have already stolen the Sacred Rainbow Sword and be on the verge of opening Bifröst's gate.

Shortly after Lin Qiye departed, within the billowing smoke, a pair of slightly charred hands emerged from nothingness and tore through the fabric of space.

Torrential deathly energy of the underworld poured from the spatial rift as Hela stepped slowly through. Though her black royal robes hung in tatters, her body bore only minor burns and nothing more. Those jet-black eyes fixed on the direction where Lin Qiye had fled, her expression dark enough to drip with displeasure.

"Seeking death...!"

Hela seemed to sense something and turned to survey the Miracle Square.

The countless divine powers that had torn through the sky now mostly dissipated, and the tremors beneath Asgard gradually subsided. In the distant sky, several figures transformed into streaks of light, hurtling rapidly toward this location—all of them gods aligned with Loki.

"Did you make Thor and the others retreat? What useless creatures." Hela snorted coldly. After a brief pause, her gaze returned to Bifröst's direction, her eyes narrowing slightly,

"Now... let's see where you think you can escape to?"

As Lin Qiye pushed himself with every ounce of strength, the silhouette of Bifröst emerged faintly on the horizon.

"Myles!? No, Lin Qiye?" Number Twenty-Two's voice suddenly rang out from nearby.

Lin Qiye turned to see Number Twenty-Two carrying a golden greatsword on their back, staring at him with evident surprise. "How did you revert to your original form?"

"My identity's been compromised." Lin Qiye glanced behind him and spoke with grave seriousness. "We need to move! They're catching up!"

At this, Number Twenty-Two also pushed their speed to the limit, closing in rapidly on Bifröst.

As the distance between Bifröst and the two of them shrank, just as they were about to set foot on the bridge, a streak of black light descended from the heavens!

BOOM--!!

The swirling deathly energy nearly knocked them both off their feet. The underworld queen Hela stood at the Bifröst entrance with a grim expression, her cold killing intent locking onto both of them instantly.

Lin Qiye's heart sank.

Damn it, how did she get here so fast?

Beside him, Number Twenty-Two's expression turned equally grim. Glancing behind, several figures radiating terrifying divine might were rapidly approaching beneath the darkening sky.

"This is bad, they're all here!" Number Twenty-Two exclaimed in panic.

Lin Qiye's eyes locked onto the Hela before him, his fists clenching tightly.

He drew a deep breath, and once again retrieved the pixelated walkie-talkie from his coat, pressing the button on it.

His hoarse voice emerged slowly:

"This is Lin Qiye... calling Great Xia Night Watch headquarters, please respond."

"Sssshhhh..."

The other end of the walkie-talkie continued to emit only endless static.

Hela observed this and couldn't help but mock:

"You're still hoping those Great Xia deities will come to your rescue? How absurd...

Don't you realize?

Just last night, the twelve city-destroying mountain corpses launched a full-scale assault on Great Xia alongside the Olympian Gods!

Right now, the Great Xia deities are fully occupied defending the borders—there simply isn't time to rescue you. Do you truly believe yourself more valuable than all of Great Xia?"

Upon hearing these words, Lin Qiye's heart grew increasingly burdened.

As expected... his suspicions were correct.

Great Xia was already in crisis.

Lin Qiye gripped the walkie-talkie tightly, veins bulging on the back of his hand. He slowly closed his eyes as despair rose in his heart...

With reinforcements nowhere to be found, his cover blown, and furious gods closing in around him, he found himself with nowhere to turn—no escape route remained.

But his composure returned swiftly. His eyes opened, revealing only acceptance and serenity within them.

So what if despair sets in?

He had endured far grimmer circumstances before—facing the Egyptian gods alone in Kunlun Ruins, trapped in the underworld with no way out. Those moments were infinitely more perilous and hopeless than this.

The Lin Qiye of now bore no resemblance to that greenhorn who first joined the Night Watch. His spirit had been tempered into something unyielding through countless trials between life and death.

Despair is simply human nature; conquering it is what defines true strength.

"Whether they can arrive, I cannot say..." Lin Qiye stated calmly, "Yet the mission that falls to me—I must accomplish it regardless."

"Twenty-Two, give me the sword!"

Lin Qiye's voice reached Twenty-Two's ear. After a moment's hesitation, Twenty-Two removed the Sacred Rainbow Sword from their back and passed it to Lin Qiye.

Lin Qiye was well aware of Twenty-Two's abilities—they could scout ahead, but in this dire situation, they'd be useless. They would likely be shredded to pieces the moment they approached Hela, and the Sacred Rainbow Sword would fall into enemy hands.

Lin Qiye slung the Sacred Rainbow Sword across his back. Two summoning magics materialized—he gripped the Ame-no-Murakumo in his left hand and the White Slash in his right, his gaze toward Hela as steady and unyielding as a rock standing firm against any storm.

"Today, this gate of Asgard... I will open it no matter what!"

Lin Qiye's consciousness reached out to the Asylum of the Gods. Instantly, a phantom of Gilgamesh cloaked in gray materialized from nothingness and gradually merged with his form.

Soul Inheritance!

With Gilgamesh's soul infused into Lin Qiye's body, his spiritual power surged dramatically!

Already at the peak of "Klein" realm, his aura exploded further as one foot breached the threshold of Human Apex, yet no matter how hard he pushed, he couldn't advance another inch.

Like before at the Divine Monument, an invisible shackle seemed to bind Lin Qiye's shoulders—even bearing a god's soul couldn't help him cross that barrier.

Lin Qiye drew another steady breath, and spoke once more:

"Grant my wish! Breakthrough to the next realm!"

Light swirled through Mumoo's body as the churning crimson blood within the Holy Grail depleted rapidly. Simultaneously, an esoteric energy materialized and flooded into Lin Qiye, propelling him forward as if shoving him from behind—forcing him past that threshold!

Human Apex-level aura erupted from Lin Qiye with tremendous force!
