Chapter 1255: "Prophecy"

Lin Qiye did not possess the art of divination. His requests for a meditation chamber and three items were merely a smokescreen to deceive Thor and the others.

All he truly wanted was a secure room free from any surveillance, and a map.

Lin Qiye stood in the main hall, hesitating for a moment before unbuttoning his collar first.

As the collar fell away, a pixelated armor fragment the size of a fingernail was revealed, quietly adhered to his skin.

This was something Jinian had secretly passed to him when she was captured. Whatever she had risked discovery to deliver must have been critically important.

Lin Qiye picked off the fragment and examined it curiously in his palm.

The fragment's colors were chaotic and irregular, but its surface was perfectly smooth, as if something had been compressed into a flat disc by a hydraulic press. At first glance, it was impossible to tell what it was.

"How do I open this..."

Lin Qiye rubbed every inch of the fragment with his fingers. As his thumb passed over the central area, the pixelated fragment immediately began expanding at a visible rate.

Pixel by pixel, they seemed to come alive, floating up from the fragment's surface. As time passed, this two-dimensional flat piece automatically assembled into a three-dimensional object the size of a palm.

From its outline, it appeared to be a walkie-talkie.

Once the last pixel locked into place, Lin Qiye gripped the pixelated walkie-talkie in his palm, his expression complicated beyond words.

Jinian had handed him this walkie-talkie at the final moment, most likely because she knew she would endure torture and interrogation once she arrived in Asgard. Thus, she had sent it out in advance to prevent the Norse Gods from obtaining it and using it against Great Xia.

Therefore, she had entrusted the last means of contacting Great Xia to Lin Qiye.

Lin Qiye understood the importance of this walkie-talkie, but he still felt uneasy keeping it on his person... After some hesitation, Lin Qiye summoned a summoning magic circle on the hall floor.

When the magical radiance faded, a small mummified figure appeared at the circle's center.

Mumu, who had not been summoned for quite some time, was stunned for a moment before excitedly waving its hands. With a kick of its legs, it jumped onto Lin Qiye's shoulder, rubbing its bandaged head frantically against Lin Qiye's face, refusing to let go no matter what.

Lin Qiye helplessly comforted Mumu for a while, then had it swallow the pixelated walkie-talkie into its belly.

That way, when Mumu returned to its dimensional space, the walkie-talkie would be hidden away with it. No matter how the Asgardian gods searched, they would never find it. However, Lin Qiye had already left a summoning mark on the walkie-talkie's surface, so he could summon it with just a gesture.

This was the safest method Lin Qiye could devise.

After completing all this, Lin Qiye began contemplating his next move.

Jinian was still imprisoned in the deep dungeon, enduring torture. He had to rescue her as soon as possible, but before that, he needed to be able to move freely within Asgard. If he were locked back in that cage, everything would revert to square one.

The only way forward was to gain Thor's trust and rescue Sif.

Lin Qiye spread all those maps across the floor.

The maps Thor had prepared for Lin Qiye were more detailed than he had expected. In addition to Asgard at the center, there was a map of Giant Country, a map of Dwarf Country, a map of the Human Enclosure, and a map of the Underworld.

These places were similar to Fengdu and the Kunlun Ruins in Great Xia—they were mythological territories but not considered divine realms.

The difference between here and Great Xia was that Great Xia's Fengdu, Kunlun Ruins, and Heavenly Court were scattered throughout Great Xia's territories, whereas these locations in Norse mythology were all arranged around the divine realm, forming a connected whole.

"Looking at it this way, it's really not small." Lin Qiye murmured to himself as he studied the maps.

Lin Qiye memorized all the maps, then waved his hand to dispel the disguise of the transformation magic, returning to his true form.

In the state of transformation magic, Lin Qiye could not use other God's Ruins. This was also why he needed a safe room with no divine窥视 (surveillance).

He randomly picked up a piece of gravel and tossed it into the air. A flash of golden light passed through his palm. Under the activation of the Miracle, the gravel tumbled on the ground for a moment before finally coming to rest at a certain location on the map.

Seeing where the gravel had landed, Lin Qiye's eyebrows rose slightly.

"This is..."

Lin Qiye suspiciously picked up the gravel and tossed it again. This time the gravel landed in a different position, but still within the same map.

Using the Miracle to deduce a god's location was still somewhat unstable for Lin Qiye at his current level, but being able to grasp a general direction was enough to deal with Thor.

Lin Qiye put away the maps and used magic to transform back into Miles's appearance. He then summoned the Holy Grail, gripping it in his palm as he whispered softly:

"Grant a wish—perfect disguise."

As his words fell, the wine inside the dark golden chalice decreased slightly. A phantom light flickered across Lin Qiye's surface before quickly vanishing.

Lin Qiye used the Holy Grail to perfect his transformation magic to its ultimate form.

After his transformation magic had been easily broken by Number 22's wish in the King's Treasury last time, Lin Qiye had learned his lesson. While the transformation magic allowed him to disguise himself as Miles, there was still a risk of exposure in the presence of certain artifacts that could pierce through disguises, or deities with similar abilities.

Therefore, to be safe, Lin Qiye had used the Holy Grail to add a double layer of insurance. That way, even gods of the Supreme God level would struggle to see through his disguise.

After completing all this, Lin Qiye hesitated for a moment before also stuffing the Holy Grail into Mumu's belly.

He could not use the Holy Grail in public, but hiding it inside Mumu was also a form of concealment. It might prove useful at a critical moment.

Lin Qiye pushed open the door and walked out of the temple.

Thor, who had been waiting in the distance, immediately flashed to Lin Qiye's side. "Did you find it?"

"I found it." Lin Qiye paused. "But the location is quite vague."

"Where?"

"...The Underworld."

Upon hearing the word "Underworld," Thor's eyes constricted. As if recalling something, he gritted his teeth and uttered a name:

"Hela...!"

"Hela?" The war god Tyr's brow furrowed tightly. "Has she already allied with Loki?

If that's the case, things are about to get much worse..."

"I'm going to the Underworld." Thor turned to leave, but after just two steps, he stopped.

He looked back, pointing at Lin Qiye:

"Miles, you're coming with me.

You others, go fetch that agent in the cage who can use the Scepter."

Lin Qiye seemed to have anticipated that Thor would bring him along. He calmly followed behind Thor. A moment later, Number 22, clutching the Scepter, rushed over from the distance.

Number 22 caught sight of Lin Qiye beside Thor and his eyes lit up.

"Tyr, Hodr, you two are coming too." As Thor spoke, he transformed into a bolt of thunder and vanished over the horizon.

Lin Qiye felt his shoulder grow heavy as the blind god Hodr grabbed his shoulder. Like an eagle snatching a chick, he was lifted up and immediately gave chase.
