Chapter 1150: Is Anyone There?

Looking at the figure that gradually disappeared from view, Jinian glanced down at the pill cauldron in her hand and turned to walk back into the cabin.

"President, are you going back to modify the car?" the knight waiting nearby asked.

"No, there's something more important this time." Jinian shook her head. "Have someone clear out the mobile [Block Room] in the cabin. I'll be there soon."

"[Block Room]?"

The knight was stunned. "Alright, I understand."

The knight turned and left. Jinian returned to the room, removed the leather jacket and boots from her body, and changed into a white research robe. She perched a high-magnification monocular on her nose bridge and walked toward the [Block Room].

Jinian had just sat down at the table, about to begin something, when a head poked through the half-open door from outside.

"President…"

"Didn't I tell you that when I'm in the Block Room, no matter what happens, don't disturb me?" Jinian frowned and said coldly.

"No, President, I haven't even closed the door yet." The knight apologized with a smile. "Besides, this time there's really an urgent matter…"

"Go ahead."

"Three more people just flew out of the mist…"

"Three more people? Isn't this the mist? How did it become like a marketplace?"

Jinian stood up from her seat irritably. "Who are they? From which god's kingdom? What are they here for?"

"President, you know the people who came." The knight said seriously.

Jinian looked at him疑惑ly.

The Deck.

"Lin Qiye?"

Jinian walked onto the deck draped in the white robe. When she saw a certain face among the three, she exclaimed in surprise.

"Jinian?" Lin Qiye also froze in place.

Lin Qiye and the other two had followed the guidance of the miracle through the mist for quite some time. By the time his spiritual power was nearly drained by the [Somersault Cloud], they still hadn't seen any sign of Great Xia.

If it weren't for Lin Qiye's spiritual perception discovering this pixelated cruise ship sailing through the mist, they had been prepared to descend to the sea surface and summon nurses to carry them forward.

"So this is the Oath Society's ship. No wonder there's such a luxurious cruise ship in this mist." Lin Qiye looked around and couldn't help but exclaim, "I've never seen a ship this big even in Great Xia…"

"I told you before that I'd take you to see my cruise ship when the opportunity arose. I didn't expect that instead of me inviting you, you'd come find me on your own… Who are these people?"

Jinian's gaze fell on An Qingyu and Jiang Er floating in the air, her eyes filled with curiosity.

"My teammates, An Qingyu and Jiang Er." Lin Qiye introduced them briefly.

"Oath Society President, long time admirer." An Qingyu smiled shyly, shaking hands with Jinian. Jiang Er couldn't touch her, so she could only wave with a smile.

After exchanging greetings, Jinian turned to Lin Qiye. "How did you find your way here?"

"This is a long story…"

"No worries, take your time. I'll show you around the cruise ship while you tell me." Jinian turned to instruct the knight, "Have someone prepare the dining hall. I'll take them to eat later."

"Yes." The knight respectfully replied.

Lin Qiye and the other two followed Jinian, touring the cruise ship while briefly recounting their experience in the Heavenly Kingdom.

After listening, Jinian's expression clearly turned grim.

"Cthulhu Faction kingdom?" Jinian glanced at them and sighed, "It's quite impressive that you managed to escape…"

"Our top priority now is to rush back to Great Xia and report the situation to the Night Watch and Heavenly Court. Let's see if they can find a way to rescue Brother Zhuai."

Jinian shook her head. "Based on what you described, even if all the Heavenly Court gods went, they still couldn't save your brother. He's currently fusing with the Underworld Origin. Unless he fully absorbs it, there's no way for him to leave the Underworld. His life and death are entirely in his own hands."

After finishing, Jinian paused for a moment before speaking again:

"However, I can help you send a message to Great Xia right now. Wait for me."

Jinian turned and walked into a cabin. A moment later, she held a pixel-style walkie-talkie in her hand.

"What is this?" An Qingyu stared at the walkie-talkie, curiosity flickering in her eyes.

"My specially made walkie-talkie. Only two exist in the world." Jinian waved the walkie-talkie, one hand on her hip as she explained,

"It's used to transmit information, not through traditional wave signals, but through pixelated special signals. It can achieve ultra-long-distance communication无视 this mist. However, every time it's used, it causes tremendous spiritual burden on me… One of these walkie-talkies is in my hand, and the other is with your Commander-in-Chief Ye Fan."

"As long as I turn on this walkie-talkie, I can have cross-sea communication with your Commander Ye… Impressive, right?"

Lin Qiye and the other two glanced at each other, all frozen in place.

Seeing no reaction from Lin Qiye and the others, Jinian raised an eyebrow. "Not impressive?"

"It is impressive, but…" Lin Qiye paused. "You probably can't reach Commander Ye anymore."

"Why?" Jinian疑惑ed.

"He died. He sacrificed himself over two years ago."

Jinian's body shuddered violently.

Her expression was dazed, as if she couldn't understand what Lin Qiye meant. "Died…?"

"Yeah." Lin Qiye nodded, looking at her复杂ly. "You… didn't know?"

Jinian stared blankly at the pixel-style walkie-talkie in her hand, standing motionless like a sculpture.

While this walkie-talkie was magical, every use brought her tremendous spiritual burden. The last time she had used it was two years ago when Great Xia was invaded by the nine Egyptian gods, when Ye Fan had called her for help.

In a trance, Jinian seemed to recall what Ye Fan had said to her in the corridor before she was about to leave Great Xia:

"Jinian, I'm asking you one last time… Can you not go?"

"…"

"If you really don't plan to stay, then you can go."

At the time, Jinian hadn't noticed anything amiss, just finding Ye Fan somewhat strange. But now that she thought about it, everything seemed to have been foreshadowed long ago.

Jinian's hand gripping the walkie-talkie tightened more and more, the joints of her fingers turning white from the pressure.

She took a deep breath and said to the three of them, "You should remember where the dining hall is, right?"

"We remember."

"I've already had dinner prepared for you. Go eat… I have something to attend to. I'll come find you later."

After finishing, Jinian pressed her lips together, turned, and walked deeper into the cabin, leaving Lin Qiye and the other two to exchange a silent glance and sigh heavily.

Inside the cabin.

Jinian strode into the room and locked the door behind her with a reverse motion. She stood silently in place for a moment, her back against the door, sliding down slowly until she sat on the cold pixel ground.

Her stubborn eyes were crimson red, but she bit her lips tightly, not letting a single tear fall.

In the dead silent dark room, Jinian hugged her knees and slowly raised the pixel-style walkie-talkie…

She pressed the button.

"…Is anyone there?" Jinian's voice was very quiet, as if afraid of disturbing someone, her words trembling slightly.

After a long while, a voice came through from the other end of the walkie-talkie:

"Is that President Jinian?"

"This is Zuo Qing…"
