Chapter 1034: Lower Immortal Zone
Lin Qiye and the others walked into the venue, ascending the steps step by step.
"Among all the gatherings of the immortals, the Peach Banquet has the most rules." As they walked, Jade Tripod True Lord said to Lin Qiye, "All guests participating in the banquet must be seated according to their seniority and status. The entire venue is divided into three zones: Upper Immortal, Middle Immortal, and Lower Immortal, each corresponding to a different grade of peaches.
The peaches of the Jade Pool are divided into three grades: those ripening once every three thousand years, once every six thousand years, and once every nine thousand years.
The Lower Immortal Zone serves the small peaches that ripen once every three thousand years—consuming them strengthens the body and extends lifespan;
The Middle Immortal Zone serves the ordinary peaches that ripen once every six thousand years—they can greatly advance one's cultivation and illuminate the path to enlightenment;
The Upper Immortal Zone serves the large peaches that ripen once every nine thousand years—consuming them grants immortality, eternal as the sun and moon... however, only the Queen Mother, the Jade Emperor, the Three Pure Ones, and a handful of others can eat these."
Hearing this, Lin Qiye couldn't help but ask, "Then which zone should we sit in?"
"I am a disciple of the Heavenly Lord's seat, so by seniority and Taoist cultivation, I should sit in the Middle Immortal Zone, as does the Purple Polo Star Lord. As for you..." Jade Tripod True Lord paused, then answered honestly,
"By seniority, you are the disciple of Sun Wukong, and your cultivation is still relatively weak. You can only sit in the Lower Immortal Zone... and specifically at the very end of it. Even if you eat a peach, it will be the lowest-grade small peach."
An expression of "as expected" appeared on Lin Qiye's face.
Even the Twelve Golden Immortals like Jade Tripod True Lord could only sit in the Middle Immortal Zone. As Sun Wukong's disciple, by seniority he really should sit in the Lower Immortal Zone... If Sun Wukong hadn't achieved true Budddhahood and become the Victorious Fighting Buddha, he probably wouldn't even qualify to sit at the Peach Banquet.
"However, don't worry too much. My disciple is also in the Lower Immortal Zone. I've already sent him a message about you—he has some connection with your master and will take care of you."
After saying this, Jade Tripod True Lord left with the Purple Polo Star Lord, heading toward the Middle Immortal Zone.
Lin Qiye sighed, his gaze sweeping across the venue. He quickly found the location of the Lower Immortal Zone and walked straight toward it.
Overall, the Lower Immortal Zone was actually the largest, occupying nearly two-thirds of the seats at the Peach Banquet. Most of the seated guests were unfamiliar deities whose names Lin Qiye couldn't recall.
The Peach Banquet was about to begin, and only a few seats remained in the Lower Immortal Zone.
Lin Qiye knowingly锁定 the few seats at the very end and walked toward them. Just then, a voice drifted over from the First Seat of the Lower Immortal Zone beside him:
"So you're the Lin Qiye Master mentioned?"
Lin Qiye's footsteps halted.
This voice... seemed somewhat familiar?
He turned around. Behind a carved stone table, a young man in silver battle robes was sitting expressionless, cup in hand.
At his brow was a closed vertical eye, and below it were a pair of sharp, sword-like slender eyebrows. Those cold eyes gave Lin Qiye a brief glance. He set down his cup and patted the empty Lower Immortal Zone Second Seat beside him.
He spoke calmly:
"No need to go anywhere else. Sit here beside me... With me here, no one will dare give you trouble."
The moment Lin Qiye saw his face clearly, he felt as if struck by heavenly thunder, his mind going completely blank!
...
Before an ancient, unguarded gate, four figures emerged one after another.
Singh stood on the earth, looking around at the continuous floating mountains and the spiritual grasses and immortal birds scattered everywhere. A gleam of joy appeared in his eyes.
"What rich divine power... This is indeed Great Xia's Kunlun Ruins."
"This place is indeed very different from the outside environment. It should also be an independent small world." Si Xiaonan nodded slightly.
"Great Xia mythology is the only mythology in the world to simultaneously possess two divine kingdoms. Besides Heavenly Court, the divine kingdom that can freely travel between worlds, the Gods of Great Xia also have a hidden divine kingdom tucked away in Great Xia's heartland... which is Kunlun Ruins." Singh said slowly,
"Very few in this world know of Kunlun Ruins' existence, and its location is top secret.
Had it not been for the one from our Temple of the Gods, combined with the Asgard Heavenly Queen and Olympian's Prophecy God joining forces to forcibly break through the Heavenly Lord's seal and tear open a corner of Great Xia's heavenly secrets, we might never have discovered Kunlun Ruins' location."
"But now that we've entered Kunlun Ruins, probing the depths of the Gods of Great Xia will be as easy as turning over our palms."
Singh's eyes flickered with light. Then, as if remembering something, he looked around in confusion. "However... shouldn't Gaia's agent have entered before us? Why haven't I seen him?"
"Maybe he went ahead." Si Xiaonan replied. "And it seems there are no Great Xia deities here... Could they not be here?"
Singh shook his head,
"The Gods of Great Xia destroyed Takamagahara. If they suffered great damage, they would certainly choose to hide in Kunlun Ruins to recuperate. If their losses weren't severe, they would be secretly gathering strength within Kunlun Ruins to prepare for battle against our four divine kingdoms...
If it's the latter, then our divine kingdoms will have to adopt a conservative strategy, advancing steadily. But if it's the former... we can send word back to our divine kingdoms and launch a lightning war, eliminating the heavily injured Great Xia deities in one sweep."
"Those Great Xia deities must be hiding somewhere in Kunlun Ruins. As long as we can find them, we can influence the outcome of this war!" Singh spread his arms wide, a smile curling at his lips. "Now, the most critical turning point of this divine war rests in our hands."
Upon hearing this, an imperceptible glint of killing intent flickered in An Qingyu's eyes.
He glanced at Si Xiaonan, who subtly shook her head at him. She quietly extended a finger, pointing toward Leng Xuan's right hand.
Leng Xuan understood her signal and pulled up his sleeve, revealing the诡异 ear growing on the back of his hand.
A gray light flashed through An Qingyu's eyes. After analyzing for a moment, his expression grew grave.
"There's a sound coming from that highest mountain peak." Singh raised his head, looking up toward the Jade Pool. "Let's go take a look."
His form flickered, turning into a streak of black light that carried the three others rapidly upward.
Amid the howling wind, Si Xiaonan brushed the hair from her ear and turned to look at An Qingyu beside her.
"Xiao An." She gave An Qingyu a look, signaling him to pay attention to her palm, then touched her nose. "Look, the sky here is red."
An Qingyu was stunned. He raised his head and looked at the azure sky above, his brow furrowing slightly.
Immediately after, Si Xiaonan lowered her palm and spoke seriously: "But the sky should be blue."
An Qingyu froze for half a second, then quickly understood Si Xiaonan's signal. He smiled and reached up, touching his nose:
"Yes, the sky here is red... How strange."
