**Chapter 57: Wishing You Happiness**

“Ruoruo, I’m here, I’m here!”
In the corner of the classroom, Han Ruoruo took the initiative to approach Liu Yuan, her eyes rimmed red, lips pressed together, looking like a frightened deer.

“Then why are we staying here? Just because Li Yifei said so? Who is he to say there’s something wrong with us?” Han Ruoruo took Liu Yuan’s hand and sobbed, “Liu Yuan, I… I really don’t want to stay here anymore. Take me out!”
Every word she said struck a chord in Liu Yuan’s heart. Her pitiful gaze ignited his protective instincts!
He took a deep breath, stood up, grabbed her hand, and said firmly:
“Don’t worry. I’ll get you out. I’ll prove to you… I’m a better man than Lin Qiye!”
With that, he pulled her to the classroom door and began pounding on it.
“Liu Yuan, what are you doing?!” a boy outside shouted through the window.

“You can’t leave. Li Yifei said there might be monsters among you!”

Liu Yuan’s voice echoed across the floor, drawing the attention of all the students. The boys guarding them hesitated.

“Liu Yuan, don’t slander us! This is a special situation. You saw it—so many students turned into monsters. Who’s to say you’re not one of them?” Li Qiang refused to back down.
“Why us?” Liu Yuan sneered, pointing at everyone present. “You’re all suspects too. How does Li Yifei know there’s a monster among us? Does he have X-ray vision?”
“You!!”
Just as the two were arguing, a loud crash came from the stairwell on the right!
Everyone’s heart leapt into their throats. They turned in unison, eyes filled with fear.
Had the monsters broken through?
“It’s Lin Qiye! Lin Qiye’s killing monsters like crazy! Li Yifei and the others are right behind him!!”
A shout came from the stairwell. Everyone looked at each other in disbelief.

Another loud crash. Desks in the hallway toppled like a mountain, clattering and clanging. Students backed away in terror. Dust filled the air.
From the dust,
a blood-stained boy in a school uniform emerged, a blade in his right hand.
His eyes blazed like molten gold.
The moment they met those eyes, everyone felt like prey cornered by an ancient beast—too scared to even breathe.
The golden light in Lin Qiye’s eyes slowly faded, and the heavy pressure lifted from everyone’s chest.
Behind him, several boys ran up, including Li Yifei and An Qingyu.
“Li Yifei? How did you get up here? What about the monsters on the fourth floor?!”
Someone finally snapped out of it and asked anxiously.
Li Yifei grinned, holding his fire axe. “All dead. My bro Qiye slaughtered the entire fourth floor. The whole building’s clear now!”
Everyone’s gaze turned to Lin Qiye, eyes full of disbelief!
“Impossible! That many monsters…”
“He cleared them alone? Seriously?”
“Look at the blood on his blade and clothes! Must be real?”
“Holy crap! Did you see his eyes just now? So cool!!”

As everyone whispered among themselves, Lin Qiye’s gaze swept across the crowd and landed on Liu Yuan, who was still fuming with righteous anger.

Liu Yuan clenched his teeth and mustered his courage. “That’s right! I’m taking her with me! You gonna stop me?!”
Lin Qiye looked at him quietly. After a long moment, he let out a cold laugh.
He stepped aside, cleared a path, and gestured politely.
