Chapter 410: Surprise?

The short-haired female player traveling with the white-haired player clasped her hands together, and the entire cockpit was sealed off. This made the two crew members who had already rushed to the door turn around. One of them blew on his empty palm, and a small balloon the size of a fingertip flew out of thin air, surrounding the white-haired player and his group like bubbles before exploding like a bomb!

"Haha! I love seeing this!" the bomb crew member laughed loudly.

The captain, who had ambushed the white-haired player, quickly walked to the door and reached out to touch the wall. The wall covering on it peeled off in strips and wrapped around the several players shrouded in the explosion smoke. Then he took out a thumb-sized bomb, stuck it on the door, and precisely blew the door off.

But before he could walk out, the ground rapidly froze, forming an ice wall three meters away from the door. Ice spikes several meters long shot out from the ice wall, forcing him back into the cockpit.

The wall covering shattered into ice shards, and the ground slid backward like an automatic walkway, dragging the captain and several crew members toward the white-haired player!

Unable to break free from the ground, the captain and the others almost simultaneously raised their guns and opened fire on the players!

The light and sound of the bullets were all blocked by the props, so the outside staff, aside from the initial explosion and the ice wall before them, had no idea what was happening inside the cockpit.

"I'll go call the players from the city hall..." a staff member said, about to run toward the rear deck. But at that moment, the cruise ship shook violently, and the staff could only hold onto fixed objects to steady themselves.

"The ship is rising!" people were shouting from both the front and back of the ship. In fact, the ship's hull had been slowly lifting since it stopped; otherwise, no one would have made it to the cockpit by now. It wasn't just because other players disguised as staff were causing chaos, but because the entire cruise ship had been hijacked!

It wasn't that the ship was flying, but that the seawater was rising—a square block of seawater split from the sea level and rose, lifting the cruise ship like a container, trapping it in place.

"We're trapped!" the old man said anxiously. "Send Duke Tar away first!"

"The flying cars are destroyed, the speedboats can't get down, and space items can't be used on the ship!" a bodyguard quickly explained the current situation.

"Those people disguised as staff must have come prepared. Their player levels are probably not low. Our people are holding them off for now, but it won't last long," the old man said to Duke Tar. "Duke, find a place to take shelter first!"

"Shelter! The ship is this big, where can I hide!" Duke Tar said angrily. "Shut down the prop balancer immediately. I want to leave this place!"

The prop balancer was a weapon designed based on the incompatibility of space-type items. Although it wasn't as powerful as the special instruments that specifically restricted time-space items, it was more than enough for a cruise ship.

All special cruise ships of the Rongxin Group were equipped with prop balancers to prevent theft of cargo. Today, the authority over the Hero's balancer was in Duke Tar's hands.

"Duke, you can't do that!" the old man quickly said. "If you shut down the prop balancer, the other side might use space items to transfer the goods away!"

"Is that little bit of goods more valuable than me?" Duke Tar shouted. "Zhao He, shut down the balancer!"

Zhao He was torn, but as the cruise ship rocked more violently in the seawater, he hesitated before opening the controller on his wrist and turning off the balancer.

Duke Tar's expression relaxed slightly, and he had the bodyguards take him away. Just as the two disappeared from the ship, shouts came from the rear deck: "The boxes are gone!"

Meanwhile, several flying cars appeared in the sky a hundred meters away from the cruise ship. Under each car, special metal chains were welded, and six cars were hoisting a huge cargo rack. The cargo boxes that had disappeared from the ship appeared one by one on the rack.

"They don't have container items, and the distance for space item teleportation is limited. Shoot!" Zhao He stood on the ship and gave orders.

But the flying cars on the ship had all been destroyed, so how could the weapons still function normally? The players had to step in.

One player used an item to summon a strong wind over the sea. The gale swept seawater toward the six flying cars, but halfway there, it was blocked by an invisible wall. Then the rising seawater sank, and the entire ship slammed into the sea!

The players all leaped into the air, surrounding the flying cars from all sides. But they didn't expect the cars to be equipped with considerable firepower, opening fire on them. Two players were shot down, while another player chased after the convoy, inserting a two-finger-thick steel pipe into the seawater and saying, "Pipe blockage!"

"Boom! Boom!" The guns on two of the flying cars exploded. The cars became unstable, and the cargo below began to tip into the sea.

"Damn it, some weapons can't touch water!" someone stuck their head out of a car and cursed. "Stabilize the car!"

"Are you stupid? The cargo boxes are waterproof!" another person shouted.

The first person cursed back, "Waterproof? So what? If they sink into the sea, are you going to dive for them?"

Not just them, but the players on the cruise ship couldn't let the cargo boxes sink into the sea either, so they split up to catch them.

What no one expected was that a flying carpet swooped in and intercepted the cargo boxes mid-air, scooping them up. Two players held the edges of the giant flying carpet and carried the boxes to the side—where a transport plane was slowly becoming visible.

"Who?!" The cargo boxes were snatched away. Although the flying car team quickly released the chains, they were still flipped into the sea. Whether they sank or not, the players in the water instantly struggled like fish out of water.

A scarred man jumped down from the transport plane's deck, steadied himself on the sea surface, then sank his feet into the water and said to the surface, "Chopped pepper fish head!"

The seawater separated into several blade-like water blades, skimming the surface from above and below to harvest lives.

The players floating on the sea were relatively safe; when they saw the water blades coming, most had defenses or directly escaped into the game. But those trapped underwater, suffocating and unable to leave, had their necks silently severed.

Blood surged from beneath the water, and several heads floated to the surface. The players on the cruise ship quickly retreated upon seeing this.

"I didn't expect this group to even have fighter jets!" On the cruise ship, which hadn't capsized under the players' protection, Zhao He's face darkened as he entered the cabin. He pressed a magnet against the outer wall of the cockpit. After a brief low hum, the injured captain and the two remaining crew members flew out of the cockpit from the other side, passing through the metal.

Avoiding the white-haired player and his group who had come out, Zhao He was about to head to the rear deck when, without warning, a knife stabbed through his heart.

Behind him, the cowboy-hat-wearing player who had been delivering goods for the station took off his hat, revealing wheat-colored skin, and smiled at him, saying, "Surprise? Unexpected?"

"Ran Ying..." Zhao He reached out, but she kicked him flying away first.
