# Chapter 399: The Game Within the Spiritual Realm

"The Materialized Library, your spiritual realm is quite impressive." Butterfly Lady casually surveyed the stacked floors and bookshelves, turning to speak with Xu Huo, but the spot where the voice had come from was now empty—a door not far away had just closed.

She didn't pay much attention to the person who had vanished in an instant. Instead, she reached into the air and grabbed, and a giant zipper appeared out of nowhere. She stepped through it and arrived on the adjacent floor, casually opening the nearest door.

Xu Huo's spiritual realm was a circular tower-shaped library. The exact number of floors was difficult to count. Each floor was filled with bookshelves, forming a massive ring. At regular intervals, a door-shaped gap appeared, but what lay behind the doors couldn't be seen from the outside.

Of course, Butterfly Lady thought there might be nothing behind these doors, since the interior of the spiritual realm had been materialized into a large library. This was already one of the more complex spiritual realms she had seen. Under normal circumstances, without sufficient evolutionary progress, it would be difficult to support secondary brain evolution, especially in terms of mental power.

Xu Huo was only a D-level player with a low evolution rate, unless he was exceptionally gifted...

As soon as she opened the door, she realized her assumption was wrong. Someone really could complete mental evolution at a lower evolutionary stage.

Mental evolution would gradually improve as a person evolved, meaning that even if a super evolution occurred in mental power, the initial stage would definitely be incomplete and one-sided. But Xu Huo's internal library, in her view, was already very complete. She watched the bookshelves slowly opening before her—she hadn't expected that behind the door was also a circular structure, with rooms layered upon rooms, as if there were no end.

She walked forward through several rooms, but each time she entered the next room, the wall of bookshelves directly opposite would automatically split open to both sides, revealing another room surrounded entirely by bookshelves.

The bookshelves behind her closed again, and Butterfly Lady felt the room rotating left and right. If she turned back now, she definitely wouldn't return to where she had been. If Xu Huo's spiritual realm were any more complex, she might not be able to return to the tower.

After a moment's thought, she swiped her hand through the air, and a silver zipper appeared. She stepped through it.

Passing through the spiritual realm gateway she had opened, she once again stood on the spiral staircase. This time, she heard a door closing not far away.

"Trying to lure me in?" Butterfly Lady smiled secretly. Instead of attempting to enter the rooms again, she continued walking down the spiral staircase.

After the silver zipper appeared several more times, she finally saw the room at the bottom of the stairs.

The first thing she saw was the items stacked on the table: books, daggers, playing cards, and a black, seemingly flowing thin sheet.

Butterfly Lady didn't approach the round table recklessly. Instead, she circled around it, observing.

These materialized spiritual objects remained still. After a long while, she finally walked over and reached for the top book. But before she could touch it, countless daggers pierced through her body from all directions.

One Butterfly Lady died in front of the round table. Her body split apart along the daggers, tearing like soft cloth into pieces that fell and disappeared.

A second Butterfly Lady descended the white spiral staircase. This time, she pulled open a silver zipper in front of the round table and reached her hand inside.

The zipper appeared to be a thin barrier, but her hand extended at a bizarre angle, as if separated from her body.

This would be absolutely impossible in the real world, but in the spiritual realm, it wasn't strange.

When she reached for the book a second time, playing cards flew out of nowhere toward the back of her hand. Since her body and hand were separated by a distance, based on Butterfly Lady's position, the cards would miss. But to her surprise, some of the cards turned a corner in front of the zipper and flew toward her!

The second Butterfly Lady, along with the arm separated by the zipper, was torn to pieces.

A third Butterfly Lady descended the stairs.

This time, she didn't reach for the items on the table. Instead, she raised both hands, and a giant golden zipper appeared directly above the round table. It opened and slowly descended, swallowing everything beneath it.

Just as the zipper was about to envelop the table, the white floor began to flow, pushing the round table away into the distance.

But Butterfly Lady seemed to have anticipated this. She curled her finger, and another identical golden zipper blocked the table's path, its teeth open, waiting.

The round table stopped in front of the golden metal teeth. Then it melted into a milky substance that swallowed all four items on the table before quickly sinking into the floor.

"Let's see where you can run." Butterfly Lady scraped her high heel across the floor. The white ground split open with zipper teeth, preparing to swallow both the floor and the spiral staircase.

"Slap!" A clapping sound echoed through the circular tower. Starting from the floor, black spread over the original white, rapidly extending toward the spiral staircase and the surrounding library.

"Trying to trap me in the deepest part of your spiritual realm?" Butterfly Lady laughed loudly. "Aren't you afraid I'll tear this place apart and turn you into an idiot?"

As she finished speaking, her smile vanished. Dense zippers radiated outward from her, instantly numbering in the hundreds or thousands. Their interlocking teeth opened simultaneously, like hundreds of mouths gaping wide.

Xu Huo felt the strain. He quickly withdrew the black, restoring the library to its original state. He himself appeared in front of the white round table.

Butterfly Lady curled her lips into a smile and snapped her fingers. All the gateways that had appeared in his spiritual realm vanished.

"Your spiritual realm has a high degree of completion," she said, sitting down at the table and pointing at the items under the book. "But there are only three materialized objects here. Is your personality incomplete?"

"No," Xu Huo also sat down. "I don't want it to materialize for now."

He was referring to the black thin sheet representing his childhood personality.

Butterfly Lady didn't care whether he was telling the truth or not. She continued, "Although your spiritual realm has a high degree of completion and is quite complex, openly displaying your spiritual realm like this is very dangerous. If someone can get down here, they'll find a way to destroy your materialized objects."

"In the spiritual realm, materialized objects are spiritual symbols. If they're destroyed, you'll be impacted as well. You need to hide them."

"Why hide them?" Xu Huo countered. "I don't plan to open my spiritual realm to others."

Butterfly Lady stared at him for two seconds before bursting into laughter. "You've just undergone super evolution and don't yet know how to use this power. Once you learn how to use it, you'll inevitably open the door for others."

"I call this act of bringing others into one's own spiritual realm 'opening the door.' You can call it something else—'opening the window' works too."

"'Opening the door' is fine." Xu Huo's gaze lingered on the woman's face. "You know how to use it, but you don't plan to teach me."
