# Chapter 362: Instance Trap
(To be revised later) The other players were also stunned by You Qiwen's move. The Chen brothers, who had just taken out the cloth-covered mirror, were startled and instinctively moved a bit farther away from the two. Seeing Xu Huo nod while propping himself up on his legs, they pulled off the cloth, first reflecting themselves and him in the mirror, then raising it to capture He Pu's back.
Once done, the two retreated to the corner farthest from the stage, guarding the mirror.
Liu Zhengping staggered to his feet, looking at You Qiwen with disbelief. "Could it be that your non-task player?"
"He's not. Frey is." Xu Huo patted his pants, used the string to bring over the iron bow, and directly stored it in his luggage compartment.
Seeing this, Frey let out a cold laugh. "I don't know what you're talking about. You Qiwen ambushed me—are you allies?"
Xu Huo pointed at his slightly raised hand. "I suggest you save your strength. Your 'face-to-face negotiation' requires two people to be facing each other, and it can't affect multiple people at once. You can guard against one, but not two."
Frey's expression remained unchanged. "You've been watching quite carefully."
"Of course I have to be careful, since you were the one who instigated us to go kill Mr. Dong." You Qiwen slowly retreated toward the wall, his gaze shifting between Frey and He Pu.
By this time, He Pu had turned around. He didn't look at Xu Huo, who was close by with his back to him, but instead smiled as he watched You Qiwen. With a flick of his baton, an arc-shaped shockwave struck the pile of seat debris beneath the stage.
An inconspicuous hand puppet doll was dragged out just before the seats were blown apart, pulled back into Xu Huo's hand by a thin thread.
Without He Pu's direction, the self-playing instruments stopped, but aside from You Qiwen, who had recovered first, the other players' limbs were still numb. They hadn't expected the final confrontation to come so quickly, nor that a non-task player would appear. While all of them were hostile toward He Pu, they also began to suspect and guard against each other.
Looking at the trembling players, Frey let out a derisive snort. "This act is really boring. How did you come to suspect me?"
He was asking You Qiwen. Xu Huo had never trusted any player from the start, which was understandable, but You Qiwen had even signed his cooperation contract. He wanted to know when he had revealed his flaw.
"When I signed the contract, I already felt something was off about you." You Qiwen said. "The contract itself doesn't have much binding force. Looking at the outcome, if someone found the missing guest but didn't want to tell the other players, this contract would only cause internal conflict among the players ahead of time."
"But that's not really evidence. Everyone uses any means necessary to complete the task. Later, when Mr. Xu mentioned there was a non-task player, I still didn't think of you. What really made you suspicious was Li Chao." You Qiwen said. "You said Li Chao insisted on acting alone, but Li Chao's actions were actually agreed upon with you."
"You arranged to cooperate with him, but in reality, you never left the room at all."
"How would you know what happened in my room?" Frey paused, then suddenly looked at Wei Landeng behind Liu Zhengping.
Wei Landeng, who had been beaten to the brink of death, spat out a mouthful of bloody saliva and struggled to get up. Her pale face carried a mocking expression. "Having others sign a contract is a form of restraint, but the contract itself is also a medium."
She didn't explain too clearly, but the others understood. Frey had used the contract to set traps for others, and Wei Landeng had used the contact from signing to set her own trap, learning through some means what had happened in his room.
"No wonder you signed without hesitation back then." Frey's face darkened. "If that's the case, why did you still go with me to deal with Mr. Dong?"
"Because we also wanted to know Mr. Dong's stance." You Qiwen took over, his gaze sweeping across the motionless Mr. Dong, the ice-sealed Hu Shan, and finally landing on He Pu, who was listening to the story on the stage. "Six against four had no chance of victory, but six against two might not be impossible."
"You know about Li Chao's death, so you should have completed the task through him, right?" Frey said.
You Qiwen and Wei Landeng didn't answer. In truth, they hadn't found Li Chao's body; they had only seen Hu Shan taking him away.
Seeing they didn't respond, Frey turned to Liu Zhengping and the other two. "You three fools are the only ones who haven't completed the first task."
Liu Zhengping had gotten along well with You Qiwen since entering the instance, but now he appeared very calm. "If I were You Qiwen, I would have done the same."
Entering the same instance together didn't make them friends, so it wasn't betrayal.
At that moment, You Qiwen turned and slashed at the wall behind him three times. According to Xu Huo, this position should be the wall's wardrobe, and the corpse was inside!
But as the wall cracked, the wooden boards inside also fell down, revealing part of a well-dressed corpse inside.
"Since you guessed I was a non-task player, how could you not guess that I would tell Mr. He about this in advance?" Frey laughed. "I didn't expect you to be so loyal."
It wasn't that they couldn't guess, Xu Huo narrowed his eyes slightly. Rather, You Qiwen and Wei Landeng weren't as quick to see through Frey as they claimed.
"Slap." He Pu lightly clapped his hands, laughing. "That lie was quite convincing."
You Qiwen and Wei Landeng's expressions changed slightly, but He Pu walked down from the stage and said, "It's not that they couldn't guess I would move the corpse, but that they deliberately waited for this opportunity."
"Because they were afraid that even if they came to the music room, they wouldn't be sure they could find the corpse, so they claimed to have completed the task. That way, I might not be as strict with my defenses since they had supposedly found the missing guest. Regardless of whether I took the puppet from the wardrobe, they would have their chance."
"Look now, the puppet isn't in the wardrobe. That girl who was pretending to be dead will take the opportunity during the fight to slip out and find the corpse."
The only female player present was Wei Landeng. After hearing He Pu's words, her expression stiffened, and then she straightened her back as if she had never been injured.
"I didn't expect to be seen through so quickly." You Qiwen also took two steps toward the door. The words he had just spoken were indeed a mix of guesses and assumptions. Wei Landeng's trait wasn't as powerful as imagined. He had suspected Frey but hadn't caught any solid evidence until Frey's ambush just now. With no way to break the deadlock, he had barely managed to use this tactic.
As He Pu said, he had hoped that He Pu would move the corpse, giving Wei Landeng a chance to search for it.
"Truly a bunch of children," He Pu said, looking at them as if with pity. "Didn't you think I might hide the corpse somewhere you could never find?"
"Impossible!" You Qiwen said. "You're the instance boss. You have to follow the instance rules. No instance is a guaranteed death trap. If you hide the corpse somewhere players can never find, it means this instance can't be solved, which violates the game rules."
He Pu's smile was ethereal, offering no response to his rebuttal.
You Qiwen gritted his teeth, then turned to Xu Huo. "I can tell you the truth about the guest's disappearance, but you have to promise to help us complete the first task!"
