Chapter 2530: This Is Impossible
It wasn’t the middle-aged man he had encountered before, but judging by appearance, this was undoubtedly a player from Zone 001. The man had clearly been trapped here for quite some time—the room was filled with traces of his struggles, not a single piece of intact furniture left. When Xu Huo entered, the man was slumped weakly against the wall, with two empty wine bottles at his side.
As soon as they met eyes, the man stood up warily upon seeing his face. Xu Huo raised a hand to signal him to calm down.
It was obvious that the spatial lessons in the buildings marked on the map were progressive. Along the route, only the shorter buildings were selected as teaching locations. The middle-aged man hadn’t told the whole truth—he wasn’t the only one who had come here; he had brought more talented companions along.
“Your companion outside should have told you,” Xu Huo said. “I’m just here to give it a try. Since we all want to get out, there’s no need to waste energy fighting here. Don’t you think?”
The man naturally knew that an outer-zone player had entered the Metal City. What surprised him was that Xu Huo had arrived so quickly. His companion had told him that the newcomer was most likely a Temporal Super Evolver, but they hadn’t mentioned he was also a Spatial Super Evolver!
Had he started evolving after entering?
No, that was impossible!
But if he hadn’t passed the first two lessons, he definitely wouldn’t have triggered the third. Many players from Zone 001 were eliminated after the first lesson. He himself had lasted the longest—spending nineteen days to pass the first two lessons, and that was only because he was already close to being able to construct a Super Space Entity. Most of his companions, even those with stronger evolutionary abilities, had been eliminated because their evolution direction was different and they couldn’t break through. How could someone who had just evolved possess such talent!
Xu Huo ignored the man. Using the spatial power here, he combined a modest number of Super Space Entity belts, then began attempting to combine a second, then a third.
With the venue’s assistance, he barely managed to maintain three small space entity belts. Then he brought them together and compressed the space—this was the step to create a progressive polyhedron. At this point, the spatial power, after transformation, became visible to the naked eye.
Of course, this was still extremely difficult. Xu Huo often neglected control over the space entity belts while compressing, leading to total collapse. At this level, spatial power was already highly lethal, so he had to continuously stack space entity barriers on the outside until the forces from both sides neutralized each other.
The already battered furniture in the room became even more shattered.
During this time, the Zone 001 player lent a hand. Only after the collapsed spatial power had completely subsided did he come over to greet Xu Huo. “My name is Qiu Xiangming. I’m the Deputy Director of the Joint Capital General Enforcement Department.”
“Xu Zhi.” Xu Huo nodded at him and asked, “If you can’t deconstruct the space wall, can you still get out?”
“Of course,” Qiu Xiangming said. “It unlocks once every ten days. Even if you do nothing, you’ll be out after ten days.”
Xu Huo felt that leaving might not be so easy for him. While trying again, he said, “If I’m not mistaken, your people tried and found no chance, so they all left, right? How many are still here now?”
“Just me and the team member you saw outside.” Qiu Xiangming also continued his attempts. “Were you originally a Spatial Super Evolver?”
Xu Huo knew he wasn’t telling the whole truth but nodded anyway. “You’ve been trapped for quite a while. Has the District Government never thought of getting Super Items or Super Devices from other districts to break the siege?”
“If it were that easy, this wouldn’t be a Super Instance venue.” Qiu Xiangming said with some pride.
Xu Huo glanced at him. “Is it that there are no suitable items or devices, or are they afraid of revealing the Super Instance’s location and chose to abandon you?”
As the Deputy Director of the District Government’s General Enforcement Department, Qiu Xiangming certainly knew more than the other companions who had come in. He didn’t defend himself but fell silent.
“It seems the situation isn’t as critical as the District Government claims,” Xu Huo said flatly, simultaneously using a space barrier to block a space entity collapse from the other side of the room.
Qiu Xiangming lowered his head and smiled bitterly. “Our value is nothing compared to a Super Instance.”
“If the Super Instance were gone, Zone 001 would immediately spawn tens of thousands of random instances. How many people those instances could kill at once is unimaginable. What’s sacrificing a few A-level players?”
Xu Huo made no comment. Watching him lose control again, causing his own Super Space Entity belt to collapse, he couldn’t help but say, “Maybe you should adjust your state before trying again?”
Qiu Xiangming apologized and retreated to the wall, sitting down with one knee propped on his arm as he watched Xu Huo practice.
Xu Huo spent half a day finally finding a bit of a feel for it. However, both his Super Space Entities and Super Space Entity belts were reduced in quantity, and in the end, he barely managed to create a polyhedron.
A polyhedron the size of a fingertip, floating in the air, with only a faint outline visible. To achieve the visual illusion of a kaleidoscope effect, he would need to combine the polyhedron into a polyhedron belt, completing the basic unit of the kaleidoscope world—the smallest visible kaleidoscope world.
Of course, if his power were sufficient, this polyhedron could be compressed even smaller, perhaps to the size of an ant or a speck of dust. Such compressed power might even be easily overlooked.
After admiring the polyhedron for a while, he began slowly deconstructing it.
This made Qiu Xiangming, who had only been casually watching, grow serious. For him, deconstruction was much harder than combination, because every time he deconstructed, the space entity would habitually collapse. In other words, he could barely hold a whole together, but once one part lost balance, it would all fall like dominoes, impossible to recover midway.
Xu Huo didn’t mind. He repeated the combination and deconstruction hundreds of times, only stopping to rest after confirming he was proficient.
“How do you do it?” Qiu Xiangming kept trying but couldn’t succeed. He couldn’t help asking when Xu Huo stopped.
Unfortunately, Xu Huo wasn’t good at teaching and couldn’t describe the feeling in detail. He could only say, “You could add a few more layers of barriers in the middle to separate them into groups.”
“But wouldn’t that make it harder to control the compressed space entities?” Qiu Xiangming was puzzled.
“Just a few layers of barriers—are they really harder to control than space entities?” Xu Huo raised an eyebrow. “If it’s too difficult, just compress fewer space entities in.”
Qiu Xiangming looked at him with a complex expression and, as if possessed, blurted out, “Can you take away the Super Instance?”
Xu Huo paused in his action of pouring water and gave him a surprised look. “You think I can take it?”
Would a deceased Super Player allow an outsider to take away this Super Instance?
