# Chapter 2520: My Luck Isn't Bad Either
"Is this really the relic area?" Bubble Bean couldn't hold back anymore. "Whether it's a relic area or an instance venue, if no instance is triggered, then the possibility of clearing it and leaving is cut off. If this place is a sealed space, how are we supposed to get out?"
Using cross-space teleportation items or instruments is a method to successfully leave a district aside from tickets, but even a fool knows it won't work here. If it were possible, those players in District 001 would have left long ago. And even if this isn't a relic area, it absolutely cannot be an ordinary space—otherwise, why would Valen and the others have sent them here?
He fell silent for a moment, then turned to look at Xu Huo. "You've got money. Can you get your hands on a cross-wormhole teleportation instrument?"
"A cross-wormhole teleportation instrument? Even some district governments might not be able to afford one," Xu Huo paused, then added, "Besides, do you think this place has the environment to set one up?"
The cross-space teleportation instruments sold by the Game Government are all consumables, and they're built ridiculously huge. Without a suitable location, even using them is difficult...
"Then we're screwed," Bubble Bean said, lying flat on the boat. "I was thinking I'd try to escape as an undocumented player, maybe never use a ticket again. But now it looks like even that one chance is gone. Fine, I'll just wait to starve to death!"
"Will you starve to death?" Painting Woman finished listening and leaned in close to Xu Huo. "You absolutely must not die. This place isn't fun. I don't want to stay here."
She paused, then feigned caution as she covered her communicator. "If you're really hungry, just eat 'Been Here, Done That.'"
Seeing the look in their eyes, Bubble Bean's scalp went numb. He immediately sat up, on guard. "What are you planning?"
Painting Woman smiled as she walked over, grabbed the identification fork from her backpack, and stabbed it into the back of his hand. Then she pressed his arm to show him the identification results:
"Adult male with abundant muscle content. Long-term heavy use of evolution agents. Eating texture slightly inferior."
"Cannibalism violates moral ethics and culinary standards. Consumption not recommended."
Painting Woman was very satisfied. Bubble Bean was horrified. He leaped three yards away, first looking at Painting Woman, then at Xu Huo. "You want to eat me? Are you cannibal players?"
Xu Huo frowned. "Even exercising your meager brain a little would save some energy."
Bubble Bean couldn't hear it. Because Painting Woman kept laughing, her eyes fixed on him without blinking, clearly eyeing him up!
"If I'm going to die, it won't be in your mouths!" Bubble Bean's mind raced for two seconds, then he turned without hesitation and fled.
"Go catch him." Xu Huo couldn't be bothered to waste more words.
Bored out of her mind, Painting Woman immediately went after him. As she chased, she played a pre-saved horror soundtrack. In an instant, the surrounding woods echoed with a faint, ghostly voice saying, "Where are you~" and "Found you~"
After a chaotic commotion, Bubble Bean came running back on his own, angrily shouting at Xu Huo, "Can't you control that crazy woman? She's clearly just messing with me! Aren't you afraid she'll attract metal beasts?"
"Then why did you run?" Xu Huo gave him a cold glance.
Bubble Bean was speechless. "There's no justice in this world."
Hearing the eerie voice growing farther away, Xu Huo told him to start rowing the boat again and head forward to find people.
Just as they were chasing after Painting Woman, another person had quietly appeared in this metal forest.
It was a wounded middle-aged man. He seemed to have just gone through a fierce battle. His face was pale, one arm hung limp and covered in blood, and his chest and back had numerous wounds.
When he first entered the metal forest, the middle-aged man was startled. But before he could familiarize himself with the surroundings, he heard a ghostly female voice drifting from not far away:
"Where are you~"
The deliberately drawn-out tone carried a suffocating pressure. The man leaned against a large tree, using the trunk to conceal himself, then cautiously peered ahead. With layers of trees blocking the view, his naked eye couldn't see far. But he was wearing a special glasses item that allowed him to see places he couldn't normally look at by using the reflections from the metal ground and plants... So, two seconds later, he saw a disheveled woman floating lightly through the forest, each time asking "Where are you?" before leaning close to a tree and saying "Found you."
The middle-aged man's face darkened. This was indeed the metal forest, but when did a mini-boss appear here? The heavens truly wanted him dead!
Seeing Painting Woman move a little farther away, he carefully stood up, used a silencing item, and crept toward a more distant spot.
But that single movement caused both Painting Woman and Xu Huo, who were in different directions, to sense his presence simultaneously. The next second, they appeared in front of him, one on each side, pressing down on his shoulders.
Xu Huo was decent enough not to touch his wounds. Painting Woman was less considerate—she directly stuck her fingers into his injuries, adding a cheerful "Found you!"
The middle-aged man winced in pain and was about to use an item when the power released by the "Time Ring" froze him in place.
Bubble Bean, who had just caught up, saw this and grinned. He pulled out a human-shaped restraint. "Let me, let me!"
Xu Huo nodded and deactivated the "Time Ring," timing it perfectly. Bubble Bean first locked a buckle around the man's immobile arm. In less than a second, the spring-loaded restraint automatically locked him up—arms spread, legs bound, his body forced into a cross shape.
The middle-aged man finally understood. He shouted harshly, "Who are you people?"
"Who?" Bubble Bean growled menacingly. "Debt collectors..."
Before he could finish, Painting Woman pushed his head aside and directly stamped a seal onto the middle-aged man's face. After a faint corrosive sound, four words appeared on his face: "Have you eaten?"
The pain was almost negligible to the middle-aged man. He had expected some kind of torture. After waiting a moment, he saw "Have you eaten?" reflected on a nearby leaf and fell silent.
Painting Woman admired her work, satisfied. She was about to do two more when Xu Huo patted her shoulder.
She reluctantly stepped aside.
Xu Huo held up a truth serum. "If you cooperate, we can both save some time."
He glanced at the wounds. "You're badly hurt. Without timely treatment, you might bleed to death."
The middle-aged man sneered, speaking bluntly. "If you're trapped here and want to squeeze the way out of me, save it. Being able to drag three people down with me—my luck isn't bad!"
"From what you're saying, this should be the location of the District 001 Super Instance," Xu Huo said calmly. "It seems this Super Instance hasn't found a suitable inheritor yet. My luck isn't bad either."
