Chapter 2384: Pursuit from the Fish

Shi Shuai leisurely ate fruit, speaking slowly and deliberately: "People outside are too vicious, and there's no sense of trust between them. Not only does no one believe what I say, but some even join forces to attack me."

Hua Sisi didn't understand, but the Round-Faced Player knew his quirks and rolled his eyes. "Can't you tell a lie that's at least somewhat believable? Looking like that, who would believe you're a Super Player? Your chances of success would be higher pretending to be an A-Class Player."

"You're targeting those young girls just to scam money and sex. If this were outside the game, even if someone exposed you, they might not be able to do much. But here, everyone's a player. You'd better watch out, or you'll capsize in a ditch."

"I see you're pretty idle too, wandering around with nothing to do. Why not work with me? Give me information, and we'll make a fortune together, how about that?"

Shi Shuai couldn't be bothered to even glance at him. He finished gnawing the fruit in his hand before saying, "I don't need money."

The Round-Faced Player looked at him with a mix of envy and disdain.

"I heard him say it earlier—do you really have a Perfect Potion?" Shi Shuai finally addressed Xu Huo properly.

"Curious?" Xu Huo turned to him, then took out the previous box and placed it on the table.

Everyone in the room except the Painting Woman crowded in to look. Unfortunately, potions in the game came in all colors, so it was impossible to tell from appearance alone whether this was genuine.

"Perfect Potion... is it really that miraculous?" the Round-Faced Player asked. "Making so many people scramble to buy it."

"It definitely is," Shi Shuai said with a grin. "It's like a get-rich-quick dream—a pie falling from the sky."

The Round-Faced Player laughed. "But most people end up losing out, right? I've bought small lottery tickets for years and never won once. If getting rich off Perfect Potions were that easy, they'd probably be everywhere in the game by now."

That logic made sense.

"I can tell you don't know if it's real or fake, and you don't have any urgent need for it. I know a reliable channel that can guarantee you sell the potion safely and without worry." The Round-Faced Player's mind started working again.

Xu Huo was using the potion as bait, not because he was short on cash. He glanced at Shi Shuai, then asked, "Can you tell if it's real or fake?"

Shi Shuai put on an exaggerated expression. "I'm not a human detection device—how would I know if it's real or fake?"

"Aren't you a Super Player?" Xu Huo countered.

Shi Shuai wasn't at all stumped. He smoothly replied, "Super Players aren't Super Alchemists. You can't expect Super Players to be experts at everything, can you?"

Xu Huo rubbed his chin, finding his reasoning somewhat valid. He put the potion away before saying, "If I could get more potions, maybe I'd find out."

"You sure have big ideas." The Round-Faced Player shrugged. "I'm going to sleep first. I have to go out and work early tomorrow... Ah, poverty is truly worrisome."

There was enough space in the room for sleeping. After Shi Shuai and Hua Sisi also went to rest, Xu Huo looked at the Painting Woman, who had been sitting nearby playing with her communicator. "Aren't you going to sleep?"

The Painting Woman mysteriously waved him over, signaling him to look at her communicator.

The screen's content was magnified and projected, revealing a small exploration program.

Although the program's graphics were made to look cartoonish, it was clearly the layout of the Fish Feast Building. The floors had marked exploration key points, along with miniature doors and what seemed to be Easter egg locations.

This couldn't be the Painting Woman's communicator; she had clearly swiped it from someone else. It was unexpected that a player who had entered would turn the Fish Feast into an exploration game.

Xu Huo understood after watching for a while. Some of the key points were freely uploaded by different players. For example, if a player opened a dangerous room and managed to escape, there was a chance they would send the information to this program, which would reward them with a small fee.

False information couldn't be ruled out, but there were always stubborn players willing to verify it. Those who survived would refresh the data or hunt down the information provider.

All kinds of playstyles existed.

Even the spatial collapse incident on the 49th floor was marked above. However, the information provider didn't mention the space issue; instead, they noted that an Instance Item had escaped on that floor and hadn't yet been found by the Fish Feast staff.

That was the earliest message. Several subsequent messages came from other floors, each stating that they had encountered or seen the Instance Item. It seemed difficult to capture, and the item was still roaming the building, devouring people.

What truly interested the Painting Woman was this Instance Item. "I want to catch it."

"Might be a bit dangerous," Xu Huo said. "That's an Instance Item."

Leaving aside its level, the more important issue was that this building was full of small spaces. If she got trapped, getting out would be difficult.

The Painting Woman wasn't afraid. If she got trapped, she could find another chance to escape. After thinking it over, she said, "I still want to go with you."

Xu Huo took her communicator and told her to rest, while he kept an eye on the movements of the escaped Instance Item.

But the trail stopped at the 39th floor.

No one had updated related content for an hour. Instead, several players had posted the locations of their battles with the Shark Mask.

Had the Fish Feast players already retrieved the Instance Item so quickly?

The main lights in the room had long been turned off, leaving only a small lamp by the sofa. Xu Huo sat by the sofa, occasionally checking the communicator.

Nighttime was when players were most active, and there was no shortage of meaningless messages.

After a while, he put the communicator down and closed his eyes to rest for a moment. Suddenly, he felt a sensation of being watched...

He immediately entered a state of alert, his hand faster than his mind as he triggered the Water Cube Barrier. The moment the barrier formed, several tentacle-like black shadows extended out of thin air, charging straight at him!

Unable to dodge in time, he was sent flying. Not only the tentacles, but behind them followed a massive prop fish. In a brief glance, he saw the tentacles emerging from the fish's mouth, forming a buffer between him and the prop fish.

Seeing the prop fish hurtling toward him, Xu Huo braced for impact. But unexpectedly, the enormous fish plunged into a spatial portal right in front of him and vanished quickly!

The prop fish's movement wasn't aided by a Spatial Teleportation Item. He could only sense the fluctuation of Space Power without seeing an actual portal. To the eye, it appeared as if the fish suddenly appeared and then disappeared, like something existing in the cracks of space, merely manifesting before him by chance!

"It's that fish!" The Round-Faced Player rushed out of the room upon hearing the commotion, horrified. "Is it still hunting players?!"
