Chapter 2255: Space Prison

The moment Xu Huo stepped into the space, the surrounding environment changed instantly. The originally empty corridor twisted and deformed, turning into a huge cage made of countless space fragments. Each fragment was like a mirror, reflecting different scenes—some were deserts, some were oceans, and some were cities.

"The Space Prison?" Xu Huo frowned slightly, looking around.

This was a space-type trap specially designed to trap super evolvers. Ordinary space barriers could be broken by powerful spatial evolvers, but this prison was made of countless overlapping space fragments, each independent and connected. Breaking one would immediately trigger a chain reaction, causing the entire space to collapse.

"Not bad, you actually know this." A voice came from all directions, impossible to pinpoint.

Xu Huo remained calm, his gaze sweeping across the surrounding space fragments. "Who are you? Why are you setting a trap for me?"

"Who I am isn't important." The voice continued, "What's important is that you have something I want."

"What thing?" Xu Huo asked.

"The space teleportation item in your hand." The voice said, "Hand it over, and I'll let you go."

Xu Huo sneered, "Do you think I would believe that?"

"Whether you believe it or not is up to you." The voice said, "But I advise you to think carefully. This space prison is not something an ordinary spatial evolver can break. If you don't cooperate, you'll be trapped here forever."

As the voice fell, the surrounding space fragments began to slowly rotate, emitting a low humming sound. Xu Huo could feel the space energy in the air becoming chaotic, as if the entire space was about to collapse.

"Since you're so confident, let me see what you're really made of." Xu Huo said, raising his hand, and a space blade shot out, hitting a space fragment.

The fragment shattered instantly, but the next second, countless more fragments appeared around it, forming an even larger cage. At the same time, the surrounding space began to twist violently, as if it would tear apart at any moment.

"Stubborn." The voice said coldly, "Since you won't eat the toast, you'll have to drink the penalty."

Following the voice, the surrounding space fragments suddenly shot out countless space rays, crisscrossing into a net, pressing toward Xu Huo. Each ray contained terrifying spatial cutting power. If hit, even a super evolver would be seriously injured.

Xu Huo's expression turned serious. He quickly dodged, but the space rays were too dense, and he was soon forced into a corner.

"Give up." The voice said, "You can't escape."

Xu Huo didn't answer. He suddenly stopped, raised his hand, and a silver light flashed in his palm—it was a space teleportation item.

"You..." The voice showed surprise.

Xu Huo didn't hesitate. He activated the space teleportation item, and the silver light instantly enveloped him. The next second, his figure disappeared from the spot.

"What?!" The voice was shocked.

But before it could react, Xu Huo had already appeared outside the space prison. He looked coldly at the space fragments still rotating inside, a hint of disdain flashing in his eyes.

"Did you think I would really be trapped by this?" Xu Huo said lightly.

"You... how is that possible?" The voice was full of disbelief.

"Your space prison is indeed powerful, but unfortunately, you forgot one thing." Xu Huo said, "I am not only a spatial evolver but also a mental super evolver."

As his words fell, a powerful mental wave burst out from Xu Huo, instantly sweeping through the entire space. The voice let out a painful groan, and then the surrounding space fragments began to shatter, finally turning into specks of light that dissipated.

Xu Huo stood in place, his gaze sharp. He knew that the person who set the trap was still nearby and hadn't left.

"Come out." Xu Huo said coldly.

Silence.

But Xu Huo wasn't in a hurry. He just stood there quietly, waiting.

After a few minutes, a figure slowly emerged from the shadows. It was a middle-aged man wearing a black robe, his face pale, with a hint of fear in his eyes.

"You... how did you find me?" The middle-aged man asked in a trembling voice.

"Your space prison is indeed exquisite, but it has a fatal flaw." Xu Huo said, "It requires the caster to maintain a connection with the space at all times. As long as I follow that connection, I can find you."

The middle-aged man's face changed drastically. He turned to run, but Xu Huo moved faster. With a flick of his finger, a space blade shot out, hitting the middle-aged man's leg.

The middle-aged man fell to the ground with a scream, his face full of despair.

"Tell me, who sent you?" Xu Huo walked up to him and asked coldly.

The middle-aged man gritted his teeth and said nothing.

Xu Huo wasn't in a hurry. He crouched down, looking at the middle-aged man, a faint smile appearing at the corner of his mouth. "Don't worry, I have plenty of ways to make you talk."

As he spoke, a powerful mental wave surged out from Xu Huo, instantly invading the middle-aged man's mind.

The middle-aged man's body trembled violently, his eyes gradually becoming vacant. After a moment, he spoke in a mechanical tone, "It was... the Game Government... they sent me..."

"The Game Government?" Xu Huo frowned, "Why do they want to catch me?"

"I don't know... I'm just following orders..." The middle-aged man said, "They said... you have something they want..."

"What thing?" Xu Huo pressed.

"I don't know... I really don't know..." The middle-aged man's voice grew weaker and weaker, finally completely silent.

Xu Huo stood up, his expression thoughtful. The Game Government's sudden move caught him off guard. It seemed that the space teleportation item in his hand was more important than he had imagined.

He looked down at the middle-aged man who had passed out, shook his head, and turned to leave. But just as he took a few steps, he suddenly stopped, his gaze fixed on a spot not far away.

"Come out, I've seen you." Xu Huo said calmly.

Silence.

But Xu Huo wasn't in a hurry. He just stood there quietly, waiting.

After a long time, a figure slowly emerged from the darkness. It was a young woman with short hair, wearing a tight black combat suit, her eyes sharp.

"You're very perceptive." The short-haired woman said, a hint of admiration in her tone.

"Who are you?" Xu Huo asked.

"Me?" The short-haired woman smiled slightly, "I'm a bounty hunter, here to catch you."

"A bounty hunter?" Xu Huo frowned, "Who put a bounty on me?"

"You don't need to know that." The short-haired woman said, "All you need to know is that you're worth a lot of money."

As she spoke, she pulled out a dagger from her waist, the blade gleaming coldly.

Xu Huo looked at her, a trace of helplessness flashing in his eyes. "I don't want to fight you."

"But I want to fight you." The short-haired woman said, and the next second, her figure flashed, appearing in front of Xu Huo, the dagger in her hand stabbing straight at his chest.

Xu Huo sidestepped, dodging the attack. At the same time, he raised his hand, and a space blade shot out, forcing the short-haired woman back.

"Not bad." The short-haired woman licked her lips, a hint of excitement flashing in her eyes. "You're stronger than I thought."

"Enough." Xu Huo said coldly, "I don't have time to play with you."

As he spoke, a powerful mental wave burst out from him, instantly enveloping the short-haired woman.

The short-haired woman's body stiffened, her eyes gradually becoming vacant. After a moment, she collapsed to the ground, unconscious.

Xu Huo shook his head, turned, and left. He knew that this was just the beginning, and more trouble would follow. But he was not afraid. On the contrary, he was looking forward to it.

Because only by facing stronger enemies could he become stronger himself.
