Chapter 2180: Someone Behind
The moment the words fell, the surrounding air seemed to freeze.
The man in the black robe slowly turned around, his gaze passing over the two people behind him, finally landing on the person in the distance.
The speaker was a woman. She stood in the shadows, her figure indistinct, but her voice carried a strange calmness.
"Who are you?" the man in the black robe asked coldly.
The woman did not answer directly. Instead, she took a step forward, her figure gradually emerging from the darkness.
She was wearing a simple gray robe, her face half-covered by a veil, only a pair of deep eyes visible.
"Someone you shouldn't mess with," she said lightly.
The man in the black robe narrowed his eyes, a trace of caution flashing in them.
He could sense that the woman before him was not simple. Her aura was restrained, but it gave off an extremely dangerous feeling.
"What do you want?" he asked.
"I want you to leave this place," the woman said. "And never come back."
A cold smile curled at the corner of the man in the black robe's mouth. "Do you think you can drive me away just by saying that?"
The woman did not speak. She simply raised her hand gently.
In an instant, the surrounding space twisted, and an invisible pressure pressed down on everyone present.
The man in the black robe's expression changed drastically. He quickly retreated, but found that his body seemed to be bound by something, unable to move.
"What... what is this?" he exclaimed in shock.
"A little trick," the woman said calmly. "Enough to make you obedient."
The man in the black robe gritted his teeth, struggling with all his might, but found that the more he struggled, the tighter the restraint became.
"Who exactly are you?" he asked through gritted teeth.
The woman did not answer. She just turned around and walked toward the distance.
"Remember, don't come near here again. Otherwise, next time, it won't be so simple."
After saying that, her figure gradually faded and finally disappeared completely.
The man in the black robe stood there, his face pale as death.
He knew that he had encountered an expert this time. An expert far beyond his imagination.
"Let's go," he said to his subordinates behind him, his voice somewhat hoarse.
The two subordinates exchanged a glance, then silently followed him and quickly left the place.
After they left, the woman's figure reappeared in the shadows.
She looked in the direction the man in the black robe had left, a hint of thoughtfulness flashing in her eyes.
"Interesting," she murmured to herself. "It seems this place is not as simple as I thought."
After saying that, she turned and walked deeper into the darkness, disappearing without a trace.
