Chapter 2177: Truly Interesting
The man in the suit's face was pale, his eyes filled with terror. He stared at the scene before him, his body trembling uncontrollably.
"How... how is this possible?" he stammered, his voice barely a whisper.
Xu Huo stood amidst the chaos, his expression calm and composed. The surrounding enemies lay scattered on the ground, their bodies twisted and broken. The air was thick with the smell of blood and ozone.
"Truly interesting," Xu Huo said, a faint smile playing at the corners of his mouth. He raised his hand, and a shimmering blade of space energy materialized in his palm. "I haven't had this much fun in a long time."
The man in the suit stumbled backward, his legs giving out from under him. He fell to the ground, scrambling away like a crab. "You... you're a monster!"
Xu Huo chuckled softly. "Monster? No, I'm just someone who knows how to use what I've been given." He took a step forward, the Space Ray Blade in his hand humming with power. "Now, let's see what else you have to offer."
The man in the suit's eyes darted around frantically, searching for an escape route. But there was none. The entire area had been sealed off by Xu Huo's spatial abilities. They were trapped.
"Please... please don't kill me," the man begged, tears streaming down his face. "I'll tell you everything. I'll give you anything you want."
Xu Huo stopped, tilting his head slightly. "Anything?"
"Yes, anything!" the man nodded vigorously. "I have information. Valuable information. About the Game Government, about the Super Evolvers, about everything!"
Xu Huo's smile widened. "Now that's more like it." He dismissed the Space Ray Blade and walked over to the man, crouching down to meet his eyes. "Start talking. And don't leave anything out."
The man swallowed hard, his throat dry. "The... the Game Government has been conducting secret experiments. They're trying to create a new type of Super Evolver. One that can control both space and time."
Xu Huo's eyebrows rose slightly. "A Temporal-Spatial Super Evolver? That's ambitious."
"It's more than ambitious," the man said, his voice trembling. "They've already succeeded. There's a subject... a girl... she's being held in a secret facility beneath the Seventeenth Hospital. They call her the 'Perfect Evolution'."
Xu Huo's expression turned serious. "Where exactly is this facility?"
"I... I don't know the exact location," the man admitted. "But I can give you the coordinates. They're stored in my personal panel."
Xu Huo nodded. "Do it."
The man quickly accessed his personal panel, his fingers trembling as he navigated through the menus. A moment later, a set of coordinates appeared in the air before them.
Xu Huo memorized the numbers, then stood up. "Good. You've been helpful."
The man let out a sigh of relief, thinking he was safe. But then Xu Huo's hand moved, and a blade of space energy sliced through the air, severing the man's head from his body.
"I said I wouldn't kill you," Xu Huo said, looking down at the corpse. "But I lied."
He turned and walked away, leaving the scene of carnage behind. As he made his way through the dimly lit corridors, his mind raced with possibilities. A Temporal-Spatial Super Evolver... that was a power that could rival even his own.
"Truly interesting," he murmured to himself, a dark glint in his eyes. "Let's see what secrets the Game Government is hiding."
