Chapter 1613: Divergence

The two injured people raised a white flag from a distance, limping as they walked while shouting loudly, "Help us out, we have clearance clues!"
Yi Jun's deployed props allowed those inside to see outside, but those outside couldn't see inside, so the two weren't facing Xu Huo and the others' position directly, but shouting toward a slightly different direction.
"Really or not?" Tong Qi craned his neck to look them over, "They don't look that badly hurt either."
"Can't let them in," Liao Xiaorong followed up, "They might be here to fish for information."
"What if they really do have clearance clues?" asked the short player standing behind them, whose name was unknown.
"Simple, if you want to know, go out and ask them yourself," Chi Xian said.
The short player immediately fell silent.
The two outside had already entered the fifty-meter range of the clock tower, but unfortunately, those inside couldn't hear what was said outside, so the tower couldn't warn them to keep their distance. And just as they were continuously drawing everyone's attention, Xu Huo turned and walked to the center of the clock tower, using the black blade to cut a hole in the floor. "Be back in a moment."
Yi Jun's deployed props had sealed even the ceiling and floor, but since it was a B-grade prop, the black blade cut through it with ease. However, once breached, the prop was completely disabled. Fortunately, as the membrane fell, Mr. Mo used his own prop to reseal the window and said to Xu Huo, who had already jumped downstairs, "When you come up, knock and I'll open the door for you."
"He destroyed a B-grade prop effortlessly," Tong Qi muttered quietly, "That black blade is probably an A-grade prop, right?"
Liao Xiaorong, who had experienced Xu Huo's "Mind Control," said in a low voice, "No kidding. A C-grade Super Evolver this strong can't be just anyone."
As allies on the same boat, the stronger the better. Tong Qi muttered, "Good thing I didn't leave this morning," and headed toward the center of the tower, asking Mr. Mo to open a door for him so he could go out and see if he could help.
Before Mr. Mo could respond, the newly applied transparent prop barrier was knocked on.
Mr. Mo rotated the circular tray in his hand, and with his movement, a circular opening simultaneously appeared in the center of the tray and the middle of the floor covered by the barrier.
Xu Huo jumped up, walked calmly to the window, waved at the two downstairs to signal them to leave, and then said, "Probably no one will come for a while."
Tong Qi was still in his original spot, watching the two outside actually leave, and asked curiously, "Did you fight them? How come there wasn't a sound? It's only been a short time, and it's already over?"
He frowned in thought for a moment, "You went to take a leak, didn't you?"
Liao Xiaorong and the others couldn't bear to look at him.
Xu Huo said flatly, "The ones who came weren't very strong."
Whether they were strong or not, the others didn't know, but the way they looked at Xu Huo now carried a hint of awe.
As Xu Huo said, after that small disturbance, nothing else happened that night. The players who slept, including Yi Jun, only woke up at dawn.
Yi Jun, who put away his location prop, wasn't surprised that his defensive prop had been destroyed, but said regretfully, "Never slept so well before."
Meaning no dreams.
Among Mi Yaojia and the others, some had entered the instance for their first sleep, others for their second. Some dreamed, some slept through till dawn, with no clear correlation to whether they had slept the night before. In other words, among the twenty-plus people in the clock tower, the state of falling asleep and whether they dreamed were quite random, likely tied only to their individual circumstances, not to simple observable conditions.
Yi Jun and the others already knew about Zhao Qing's disappearance. Without any clues, they couldn't help but feel anxious. Someone suggested going out to look for other possibilities or exchanging information with other players.
So far, they hadn't found anything valuable. Information related to clearance wasn't being leaked, but prop information from players could be traded.
Of course, they couldn't stop others from leaving.
"Let me be blunt," Yi Jun said, "If anyone leaks my prop information, I guarantee they won't see tomorrow's sun."
As he spoke, he took out a prop shaped like a sunflower head. With a gentle shake, more than twenty white-glowing ladybugs flew out.
"Let's be clear first, then act like gentlemen. This prop can detect whether a person is lying." Yi Jun took the initiative to catch one and place it on the back of his hand, "I promise not to speak ill of anyone."
He paused before continuing, "After leaving here, if I break my promise, the ladybug will turn red. And if I remove the ladybug or use a prop to isolate it, as soon as it leaves the skin, it will turn green."
He then demonstrated the prop's effect, saying to Tong Qi standing beside him, "I want to smash your head in." The ladybug indeed turned red. Then he shook the ladybug off, and the insect that flew up again had a back that alternated between red and green.
"This isn't a mandatory prop. Whether you're willing to wear it is up to each of you."
Tong Qi, who had been insulted for no reason, said irritably, "If I don't agree, doesn't that mean I'm splitting the group on the spot?"
Yi Jun smiled, crushed the ladybug he had just used, caught a new one, and placed it on the back of his hand, promising not to disclose any information about the players present to outsiders.
Mr. Mo was one of the wealthier among them. He had quite a few instruments and, after locking onto the ladybug, identified it. "D-grade credit prop, non-mandatory, no side effects. Besides detecting whether the user's words match their actions, it also has a tracking function."
He paused and added, "Very easy to exploit loopholes."
In fact, any prop that judged truth or falsehood through a person's physical reactions was easy to exploit. You might not even need a prop, just strong mental fortitude.
Yi Jun laughed, "Don't be so blunt."
"Or if anyone else has a better prop, that's fine too. I'm just looking for peace of mind."
"Everyone's being so uncooperative? Afraid to use a D-grade prop?"
He looked at Xu Huo, and the others followed his gaze. If he agreed, the rest would probably not object.
Xu Huo used a space barrier to separate the scattered ladybugs. "No need. From yesterday until now, there hasn't been any valuable information here, including prop information."
He emphasized the last few words.
"Clap, clap!" Yi Jun applauded. "A Super Evolver is really something else, not worried at all about their information leaking."
"You flatter me. You're a B-grade player." Xu Huo said meaningfully, then instructed the six from District 013 to return before dark before turning and walking away.
Mr. Mo, Chi Xian, Tong Qi, and the others naturally followed him, while Mi Yaojia and a few other players planned to go with Yi Jun.
