Chapter 1474: Perfect Evolver
"None of the things you're imagining are happening," Xu Huo said. "I simply know Miss Bai Kou and asked her for a small favor."
Xin Rong was greatly disappointed. "I was hoping you two were close enough that I could arrange some shady deals with the city government through you..."
Liao Ying shoved him aside, eyes gleaming. "Can you introduce us to Miss Bai Kou?"
"Don't you usually deal with the city government?" Xu Huo asked.
"Dealing with the city government is something the elders in our families handle," Xin Rong spread his hands. "It's not our turn yet. Besides, Miss Bai Kou rarely attends banquets; we only occasionally run into her."
"Even if we do run into her, we can't just force our way into a conversation," Bian Jun added.
Xu Huo politely declined their request with an apology. His friendship with Bai Kou wasn't close enough for that.
Although Xin Rong and the others were somewhat disappointed, they expressed understanding. After all, as a core member of the city government, Bai Kou couldn't spend as much time on leisure and entertainment as they could.
However, by the next morning, that understanding had turned into resentment. After breakfast, Xu Huo was going out and didn't hide his destination. Xu Huo remained completely unmoved.
If not for the Enforcement Team members nearby, Xin Rong and Liao Ying would probably have "gone out of their way" to escort him to the Mechanical Castle.

After Bai Kou verified her identity, the gate opened. The robots stationed behind the door immediately approached to inspect them, only allowing entry after confirming they carried no weapons.
In this highly confidential facility, aside from the rest area, almost every room was wrapped in thick metal. From outside the doors, it was impossible to detect what was happening inside. There were few staff members moving around; most of the traffic consisted of robots shuttling through the corridors, responsible for transporting equipment, supplies, and meals.
"Miss Bai Kou," a female researcher hurried over.
"Is the activation laboratory ready?" Bai Kou didn't slow her pace.
The female researcher fell into step beside her, glancing back at Xu Huo, then displayed the laboratory data on a handheld Message Collection Terminal. "Currently, three experimental rooms are available, with specifications ranging from 40% to 55%, 55% to 68%, and 68% to 75%. The approximate data you provided is 40%. I suggest first using the activation tester to see if it meets the standard for entering the activation chamber."
Bai Kou nodded. "Explain the purpose of the activation laboratory to him."
The female researcher stepped back half a pace and quickly and concisely explained the meaning of "activation."

As she spoke, they arrived at the door of a room. It was a large room divided in two. The entrance corresponded to the control room. Through the mirrored wall inside the room, they could see another instrument on the other side, shaped like a humanoid silhouette and covered with connecting wires.
Bai Kou took the Message Collection Terminal from the female researcher. "You can go out first."
After the door closed again, only Xu Huo and Bai Kou remained in the room.
Bai Kou turned off the female researcher's Message Collection Terminal and put it into the Luggage Compartment. Then she unplugged all the network connectors in the room and connected them to a data storage device she had brought herself.
"None of the data will be uploaded to the Message Collection Terminal. No traces will be left," she said.
Xu Huo roughly understood what she was going to do. His gaze swept over the words "One-Stage Shockwave" on the instrument across the room, and he couldn't help but say, "Using a pounding method to forcibly awaken the body's potential?"
"That's one way to put it," Bai Kou smiled. "But the shockwave released by the instrument isn't that lethal. Its main function is to stimulate the cells inside the body. Whether it works or how much it works depends on luck."

In other words, taking the Perfect Potion allowed one to naturally develop their physical strength to a good enough state without relying on external forces or special training. If their practical combat experience was richer, this number would be even higher.
This was the first time the two had openly discussed the Perfect Evolution Potion, and Bai Kou now knew that what He Pu had placed in E27-001 was the Perfect Evolution Potion.
She was not a Perfect Evolver.
Like He Pu, by the time she learned about the Perfect Evolution Potion, she had already begun general evolution, and the Perfect Evolution Potion no longer worked for her.
