Chapter 1312: Real or Fake?

When the black line passed through his throat, Han Yi instinctively leaned back. He was already half-lying against a metal frame. Although he had hastily treated the wound on his leg, he wasn't skilled in combat, so his first choice wasn't to escape but to wait for his own people to arrive. That was why he hadn't used the space teleportation device he was holding.

As a member of the Han Clan, he was very familiar with Fresh Flower City. Since this was a spiritual realm that couldn't be shaken off by interference items or jamming devices, and distance was equally ineffective, it could only mean he had entered an instance venue set up within the city.

This spiritual-type instance venue had been personally modified by a Super Player. Even the Han Clan didn't know how many layers of spiritual space it contained. However, one thing was certain: so far, aside from the original entrance left behind, no player had entered the mine vein from anywhere else—at least not the players from Zone 001.

A space teleportation device couldn't send him out of the instance venue. One of the consequences of taking a gamble was that he might directly run into the attacker, and that person was clearly a Super Evolver. Without knowing to what extent the other party could utilize this spiritual space, his current location actually offered some protection.

Of course, he was also wearing a spiritual power jamming device, which was why he had turned a blind eye to some of Xu Huo's "little tricks." Decades of research into spiritual-type instance venues had given the Han Clan a deep understanding of Mental Super Evolution. Han Yi was confident that as long as it wasn't a powerful A-level player personally taking action, his device could weaken the opponent's spiritual power to a level his defense items could withstand.

That was why, when he felt the black line pass through his throat, he was somewhat surprised. But when he reached up to touch his throat and found no wound or blood, he relaxed again.

Just then, a small door appeared behind him at an angle.

Han Yi wasn't surprised. He suddenly grabbed a cotton-like lump from his hand and tossed it into the air. Large clouds of mist surged and spread, quickly covering a wide area around him and completely concealing his figure.

Xu Huo, who had opened seven doors in a row to send away the A-level player charging straight at him, had been staying near Han Yi. Judging by the spatial rays distributed in the space, Han Yi had already laid out items everywhere. As soon as Xu Huo stepped into a certain range, he would trigger at least three or more items. The mist item just used was meant to confuse his senses. Even with the strong assistance of his spiritual power, he could still sense multiple "Han Yis" appearing within the mist zone.

However, he didn't need to distinguish the real from the fake among these "Han Yis." The target of spiritual power was a person, and a person was a huge variable.

The black line once again slashed across Han Yi's throat.

This time, the sensation was even more pronounced. Han Yi's expression lost its earlier ease. He warily scanned his surroundings, and just as he was about to move, the third strike came. This time, he felt clear pain. He raised his hand to touch it and found blood!

"How is that possible!" Han Yi blurted out, but then fear swept over him—the other party could hurt him, meaning his jamming device couldn't completely neutralize the power. And since he couldn't use spiritual power himself, he had no way to resist. His followers had yet to appear, and he didn't know if they were already dead.

This young member of the Han Clan, who had been nurtured with considerable resources, made a decision in an extremely short time. He threw the space teleportation device to the ground and stepped into it... Unfortunately, what he walked through wasn't a teleportation portal at all.

The repeated probing with the black line was only meant to deepen his impression. The jamming device he wore was indeed powerful. Xu Huo couldn't kill him directly without getting close, but as long as he influenced his mind and made him feel unsafe, the situation could be reversed—the original plan was to make him leave the safe zone on his own.

The moment the teleportation portal opened, Xu Huo opened a door and went out. So what Han Yi walked through wasn't a teleportation channel but a spiritual gate.

As he passed through the gate, Han Yi felt a chill at his neck. He reflexively thought it was just the wound deepening and took two more steps without paying attention. However, in the next second, his expression twisted briefly and slightly.

"Boom!" A building less than a hundred meters away suddenly collapsed. The falling structure affected the spiritual space, and Han Yi instinctively turned his head to avoid it. But that twist caused his head to fall from his neck.

A spray of blood bloomed from the standing corpse, which then fell along with the severed head.

Xu Huo appeared beside the corpse. After confirming the identity, the A-level player and the old man simultaneously appeared on one side. Xin Rong arrived shortly after. The four of them each occupied a corner. When they saw the body on the ground, the old man's furious roar and a sharp whistle sounded at the same time.

The next moment, the old man reached behind his back and grabbed. The half-collapsed building nearby was lifted by an invisible force, swung through the air, and slammed heavily toward where Xu Huo was standing!

The violent collision stirred up dust and smoke. Xu Huo, who had retreated to Xin Rong's side, watched as Han Yi's body was smashed to pieces. Neither the old man nor the A-level player seemed to care much about the corpse. Instead, they focused all their efforts on relentlessly pursuing him.

"Run, run!" Xin Rong grabbed his shoulder and directly pulled him into the next layer of spiritual space. The old man was also a Super Evolver, and he followed closely with the A-level player, not falling behind.

This instance venue was a natural hiding sanctuary. The old man was no slower, but with space layered upon space, and Xin Rong being slippery as an eel, the chase continued without them actually engaging in combat!

Xu Huo found it strange and took the opportunity to ask, "Can your young master still be pieced back together?"

Both men's eyes were red, but they didn't seem too concerned about Han Yi's death.

"What's going on?" Facing the old man's even fiercer attacks, Xin Rong said urgently, "Are you done with your business? If you are, get out of here. Quit running your mouth—it's not getting you anywhere!"

The old man's item suddenly cut off their path ahead. The two quickly changed direction. Xin Rong was responsible for opening doors to other spaces, while Xu Huo raised a fake library tower to create interference.

The old man thought this was his spiritual world and, being cautious, didn't charge in directly. In that brief moment, Xin Rong moved outside the city center and opened a door leading to the reality of Fresh Flower City.

The moment they stepped out, the two instantly changed their appearances and outfits, even masking the scent on their bodies. Xin Rong was never short of good devices. With a teleportation device activated, they directly dropped into a mid-level city not too far from Fresh Flower City.

"Haha, it's their loss for not banning teleporters citywide!" After successfully escaping, Xin Rong said smugly. But no sooner had he spoken than the old man and the A-level player reappeared, hauntingly, just a few dozen meters away.

"Come find me to play when you have time!" Xin Rong patted Xu Huo and then left Zone 001.

Xu Huo looked up, caught the A-level player's attack that appeared before him with his black blade, and quickly asked, "Was that Han Yi a fake?"
