# Chapter 1272: Drag the Other Person Out

"Use space defense items or location items!" a player warned the others, then shouted loudly, "Using players for entertainment, the people of Fresh Flower City are too arrogant!"

Players might not interfere with the lives of ordinary people, but this kind of killing for entertainment was something no normal person could tolerate, let alone when they themselves were the targets of this entertainment and slaughter!

After a brief moment of chaos, some players attacked the barrier partitions on the ground, while others directly leaped into the air to kill the long-haired youth and his group.

However, what first greeted them was a dense swarm of flying machines. These modified thermal weapons not only possessed superior speed and lethality, but some were even equipped with tracking micro-missiles. They were no longer like the weapons of backward districts, which could barely harm high-level players.

The killing power of a few or even dozens of bullets might be limited, but when hundreds or thousands of bullets flew toward you like a wall, even setting aside the lethality, the sheer pressure was enough to make one's heart pound. The first wave of players who charged forward returned in defeat.

Players didn't necessarily have to confront head-on. Some chose to launch silent attacks, but the opposing side consisted of core family members of the Fresh Flower City power structure, surrounded by player bodyguards. Not to mention Carol Field himself—his robots' defensive barriers alone could block all player attacks. And during this time, fireworks flickered on and off, while human head flowers rose and fell continuously along the streets!

More and more fireworks ascended into the sky, more and more people died simultaneously, and with the impenetrable defensive perimeter, some had already realized—these people from Fresh Flower City had no intention of letting anyone go!

Everyone here today, except for the Fresh Flower City people and the players who could escape, was going to die!

"How dare you kill me! Do you even know who I am!" a young man shouted toward the clubhouse rooftop from within the protection of his players. "If I die, Fresh Flower City won't get off easy!"

Before the Fresh Flower City people could respond, one of the several players responsible for protecting him said impatiently, "Do you think Fresh Flower City will admit to it? They'll just announce it was a player attack. With so many outsiders, who knows where they died?"

The streets were already stained red with blood, and the foreign players not only failed to break through the defensive perimeter around the clubhouse but couldn't even destroy the small barriers on the streets. The overwhelming disparity in strength quickly cooled their heated minds, and the cruel reality was enough to drive people to despair.

Another group of players used their tickets to leave.

"Please, save us!" A father holding a young child knelt in the blood, begging for help, crawling again and again toward players who landed or passed nearby.

"I'm so tired of this begging act." Inside a nearby defensive barrier, a young woman stroked the gemstone ring on her ring finger, saying boredly, "Who wants to watch these useless people? I only want to see those outer zone players' head fireworks..."

Before she could finish speaking, a black arc of light passed through the position of her finger. The beautiful gemstone on the ring was cut off, and along with it, the woman's finger, hand, waist, and more than a dozen Fresh Flower City people near her were also severed... The moment the defensive barrier disappeared, the corpses of these dozen or so people scattered on the ground, including the players responsible for protection!

This move stunned the others. Immediately, a large number of flying machines scanned the area where the light arc had appeared, but before results came back, the flying machines exploded in sparks one after another, including those in front of the clubhouse.

Fresh Flower City players appeared like ghosts on the blood-red streets. Some moved Fresh Flower City people to safety, while others were responsible for eliminating the more troublesome players. Meanwhile, a slightly haggard middle-aged man wiping his sword in front of a food shop was surrounded by over a dozen players.

"What's going on?" On the clubhouse rooftop, the baby-faced person asked in surprise, "Wasn't it already checked in advance that no A-class players would be present tonight?"

"What's the rush? Just watch slowly," the long-haired youth said. "What does an A-class player matter?"

Among them, Carol was completely indifferent to their conversation and the slaughter below. Instead, he watched with interest the man surrounded by players.

Without needing the long-haired youth to give orders, the players surrounding the man exchanged glances and quickly launched their attack.

Although the number of high-level players in District 001 was large, not everyone was willing to work as a bodyguard, so most were B-class players. The sword-wielding man's strength clearly surpassed these people by a large margin. He casually released a giant water sphere, slowing down the several players approaching him, then swept his sword horizontally, knocking back all the players who had come up to reinforce, and even sliced through several large buildings—his target wasn't these people in front of him, but Carol in the distance.

The next second, his figure flickered several times within the streets before appearing directly in front of Carol, swinging his sword down from above!

This sword broke through the defensive barrier of the invisible robots. The immense impact force even blew the long-haired youth and others nearby sideways, causing them to stagger backward. But Carol, directly beneath the sword, remained completely unmoved, not even a strand of hair disturbed. The sword-wielding man's eyes darkened, and he vanished from his position, reappearing on a tall building a hundred meters away.

Carol adjusted his posture and raised his hand toward the direction of the sword-wielding man. Suddenly, a massive meteorite fell from the sky, carrying a super shockwave as it crashed toward the man's location!

The tall building, unable to bear the immense pressure, began to crack. Although the sword-wielding man endured tremendous pressure, he didn't flee from beneath the meteorite. Instead, he leaped upward and, mid-air, sliced the meteorite in two with his sword.

However, even split apart, the meteorite fragments were still too large for the city streets. So before the meteorite could hit the ground, the sword in the man's hand disappeared. He reached both hands toward the air, and an invisible force crushed the two massive boulders into thumb-sized pebbles!

In that instant of opening, a distorted air current pierced through the high altitude and struck him. Despite his defensive barrier, it sent him flying hundreds of meters, passing through several tall buildings before finally landing inside one of them.

But the attack wasn't over. The distorted air appeared again, this time descending vertically from the rooftop. The force was so strong that the streets in front of and behind the building were completely shattered—and this triggered a chain reaction. When the cracks reached a hundred meters, they suddenly expanded rapidly. Within a single breath, they covered the entire city center, including nearly fifty streets, and of course, the clubhouse at the heart of it all.

Then the tall building where the sword-wielding man was located collapsed. The already cracked ground began to cave in like dried brittle paper. The sword-wielding man burst out of the collapsing building with a loud laugh, "Carol Field, it seems there are quite a few people who want you dead!"

Fresh Flower City wasn't built on solid ground. The underground had been hollowed out and replaced with metal structures, so when the ground collapsed, it meant the city would collapse too. Carol Field calmly transferred to a flying machine and instructed the players beside him:

"Drag the other person out."
