Chapter 117: Leaving the Instance
"You have more antidote!" Gu Yu said in surprise.
"I was lucky enough to find some, but only three doses." Xu Huo said with a hint of meaning, "Just enough to save the three of you."
He then asked Shen Xin, "Want to give it a try?"
Shen Xin stared at him blankly for a moment, biting her trembling lips, unable to speak.
Gu Yu limped over behind her and pushed her forward, "Your brother risked his life to save you just so you could live, right? Now you have a chance to get out alive, what are you hesitating for?"
"If you die in this instance, wouldn't your brother's life have been wasted?"
"Your words are fine, no one knows if you'll die in the next instance or the one after that, but at least you can't die here!"
"But it's not safe inside the wall, let's get out first."
Pushed forward by her, Shen Xin's tears fell like rain. Suddenly she wiped her tears and turned to support each other as they walked out.
As they stepped out of the wall, they heard the game's task completion notification sound, and couldn't help but relax. Before they could be happy, the camping lamp suddenly fell to the ground with a "clatter." Looking up, Wang Chaoqing, who was supposed to be carrying the lamp, was gone.
"He left the instance, that bastard! We almost got wiped out because of him!" Gu Yu gritted her teeth and said, "When we were surrounded by the xenomorphs, he hid in the back and wouldn't put in any effort. Ke Liang and I were bleeding out, and he didn't even get a scratch!"
Xu Huo didn't express an opinion but instead took Shen Xin's hand and injected the potion into her arm.
"It's just human instinct." Ke Liang said calmly, "People without much ability can only survive by finding loopholes."
Gu Yu's lips moved but she didn't say anything else. She took the needle and injected herself, then handed one to Ke Liang.
"It might not work." Xu Huo reminded.
"Whether it works or not, I'll take it first!" Gu Yu stared at her arm until the potion was completely injected, then let out a long breath. She smiled and winked at Xu Huo, "This time, I owe you one."
Xu Huo looked at her expressionlessly. A few seconds later, Gu Yu backed down, muttering and turning her head away, "So unromantic..."
They weren't in a hurry to leave but sat down on the spot to wait for the potion to take effect.
If the potion didn't work, they would inevitably have to go back to the town.
Fortunately, a few minutes later, the black-blue color around the wounds where the three had been bitten and scratched by the xenomorphs began to slowly fade.
"It really works!" Gu Yu was both excited and distressed, her expression complicated as she said, "If this could be researched and produced, it could save countless lives."
"Too bad we used it all up now." Shen Xin said with her head down.

"You're too kind." Xu Huo said.
Confirming that the antidote was effective, there was no need for them to stay in the instance any longer, so they chose to leave.
A few seconds later, they were standing back in that haunted house villa.
In the real world, it was daytime. Familiar sounds of people and traffic reached their ears, and only then did they feel truly alive.
But after walking back and forth between life and death several times, their state of mind was completely different.
"After being quiet for so many days, suddenly hearing the sound of cars feels a bit strange." Gu Yu said with a smile.

Xu Huo shook his hand and went outside to hail a taxi, sending him, Gu Yu, and Shen Xin to the hospital together.

"We guessed you had entered an instance, so we waited nearby."

"How do you want to deal with him?" Huang Junjie saw that Xu Huo had signs of injury on him and guessed that this instance might not have been simple. After being set up by Wang Chaoqing like that, he definitely wouldn't let him off easily.
