# Chapter 111: P0S Injection

"Owww!" The pursuing xenomorphs climbed back onto the truck bed!

Xu Huo punched himself, shattering the urge to jump out and tear into the xenomorphs, and floored the accelerator, charging into the town!

Two minutes later, a gas station appeared in sight. He drove straight into it with a truckload of xenomorphs. The front of the vehicle crumpled with a deafening crash, but he used his immense strength to counteract the forward momentum. As the truck stopped, he leaped out through the front window, grabbed the steel beams of the gas station canopy, kicked a large hole in it, and while suspended by the strings, lit a lighter:

"Burn!"

"Boom!"

"Bang!!!"

The xenomorphs clustered around the pickup truck caught fire. The truck itself, already leaking fuel, ignited first. As the open flames spread, the fuses prepared for the explosion immediately burned. Within seconds, the gas station exploded, and all the xenomorphs were engulfed in flames!

Xu Huo shielded himself with the Bull Shield, but the blast wave sent him flying dozens of meters away. He crashed into a residential building, which collapsed on top of him!

Under normal circumstances, he would be dead or severely injured. But less than a minute later, he regained consciousness from the impact, pushed aside the rubble on top of him, stood up, popped his dislocated arm back into place, and walked out of the ruins.

Staggering, he arrived at the nearest underground cage. The entrance was wide open, and the metal plates used to seal in the xenomorphs were overturned to one side. Earlier, everything had seemed perfectly fine, but now Xu Huo detected a faint medicinal smell on the seal.

"Buzz!" A high-frequency sound emanated from deep within the underground cage. He was instinctively drawn toward it, feeling an urge to get close and destroy that sound!

"Drip! Drip!"

Blood flowed from his mouth and nose, mixing with the blood streaming from his head, constantly dripping onto the ground. Xu Huo wiped his mouth, looked at the blood on his hand, and his eyes, which had gained weak night vision, suddenly went dark for a brief moment.

He shook his head, jumped into the underground cage passage, and crawled rapidly along the tunnel toward the direction of the sound.

There was only one passage underground, so even closing his eyes wouldn't hinder his progress. After three minutes and sixteen seconds, he reached the source of the sound—a high-frequency device sealed behind an iron lattice window.

The window showed signs of violent pounding, but it hadn't damaged the device inside.

Xu Huo unscrewed the bolts beside it, punched through the black device that was stimulating his nerves, and swept away the debris. But he discovered it was hollow behind it. Crawling inside, he found a surprisingly large room.

Squeezing through the narrow passage, he landed and collided with the only table in the room. A leather suitcase on the table overturned, and several differently colored injections rolled out, along with a notebook that also fell out.

Xu Huo collapsed to the ground, barely managing to open the notebook. While covering his constantly bleeding mouth and nose, he endured the dizziness to read its contents.

"...inherent flaws in the evolution agent... death and mutation occurring during the evolution process..."

"...early stages of mutation exhibit characteristics of perfect evolution..."

"...accompanied by symptoms such as photophobia and weakened vision..."

"...different mutated individuals display different states..."

...

He quickly flipped through several pages, and the content began to change:

"...Dr. Wu... P0S injection... light blue... Perfect Evolution Potion..."

"...after use... no longer dependent on oral agents... and stopping evolution will not cause mutation or death..."

"...the completed version of the P0 agent... must be used at the very beginning of evolution..."

"...after taking the P1 evolution agent... once the second stage of evolution begins... the evolution process is irreversible... the S version agent becomes ineffective..."

Xu Huo trembled as he searched on the ground for the light blue one. His eyes were almost gone now. With his mind in chaos and his vision damaged, he finally found two blue injections, but unable to distinguish the colors, he didn't know which one was the correct P0S injection!

"Cough!" He spat out a large mouthful of blood and suddenly collapsed to the ground, his hands and feet twitching uncontrollably!

"Ugh! Ugh!" Gushing blood clogged his mouth. The thick, heavy smell of blood numbed all his senses and perceptions. Feeling the human part of him slipping away, Xu Huo suddenly grabbed both injections and pushed them all into his arm!

In the pitch-black underground passage, the empty syringes fell to the ground. The person lying beside them kept letting out pained groans, his curled body convulsing violently, spitting up large amounts of blood against the ground. The blood vessels in his limbs pulsed again and again, writhing like young snakes, rushing along his body toward his heart and brain, then flowing out through his pores, mouth, and nose!

The sounds inside alarmed the xenomorphs outside the other two passage entrances. They frantically kicked at the iron windows. The sounds from both sides interweaved—at first, the sounds from inside overpowered the outside, but gradually, the outside sounds overwhelmed the inside. Slowly, the sounds from inside disappeared...

Inside the walled enclosure, Wang Chaoqing knelt on the suspension bridge holding a flashlight, despairingly staring at the broken chain. "This door can't be opened at all... we can't get out... we can't get out..."

Ke Liang's palms were covered in blood. He panted heavily and said, "If the door won't open, did we miss the time and it's locked shut? What if we wait until tomorrow night?"

As he spoke, he looked down at the xenomorphs still following them below. "Anyway, they can't get up here."

Gu Yu's watch had been adjusted, and it was now just half past twelve. She said, "It has nothing to do with time. This door is too heavy, and the chain is broken. The few of us can't pull the door open."

"Then what do we do? Should we turn back?" Ke Liang looked behind him. "We've run so far. I really don't want to go back. I don't know how Xu Huo is doing."

Mentioning Xu Huo made Gu Yu's eyes tremble. She glanced at the unconscious Shen Xin beside her and said in a deep voice, "We have to try no matter what."

Ke Liang kicked Wang Chaoqing. "Go carry Shen Xin."

Wang Chaoqing threw down the flashlight in self-abandonment. "I'm not carrying him! We finally made it to the exit. If we go back, can we still get out?"

Ke Liang grabbed him by the collar. "Are you stupid? Can we get out by staying here? The chain is broken on this side. Only by returning to the town can we leave through the West Gate!"

Wang Chaoqing suddenly snapped back to reality and quickly crawled over to move Shen Xin. "Right, right! There's still the West Gate!"

"Let's go." Gu Yu helped lift Shen Xin, and the group started walking back along the suspension bridge.

They hadn't gone far when footsteps sounded from ahead.

"Xu Huo!" Gu Yu stepped forward joyfully. But when the light shone over, the person who appeared was Lin Pei, and he was holding Xu Huo's sword!

"It's you!" She and Ke Liang immediately became alert. "How do you have Xu Huo's item!"

Lin Pei smiled. "What do you think?"

"Did you kill Brother Xu?" Wang Chaoqing asked in shock.

"Impossible!" Gu Yu slapped the belt around her waist. "This is also Xu Huo's item. If he were dead, the item should have become ownerless."

"You're right," Lin Pei said coldly. "But so what? He's already been poisoned by the xenomorphs. It's only a matter of time before he dies."

"Where is he?" Gu Yu demanded.

"Who knows? Maybe hiding in some corner of Decibel Town waiting to die."

"He went back to Decibel Town?" Gu Yu thought of what Xu Huo had said earlier and guessed he might have gone looking for an antidote. She then stared at the bloodstain on Lin Pei's abdomen. "Looks like you're not lightly injured either, or you wouldn't be wasting words with us here."

Lin Pei's face darkened. Shen Yi's elastic rope appeared in his hand, and he pointed his sword at them. "I am injured, but killing you few is no problem!"
