Chapter 20: Su Jie-sama
Zhang Ruochen stood in the void, his gaze fixed on the distant starry sky. The battle had just concluded, but the lingering energy fluctuations still rippled through the space around him.
"Su Jie-sama..." he murmured softly, a complex look flashing in his eyes.
This name had appeared in the intelligence reports he had obtained from the Dark Great Triangle Star Domain. According to the information, Su Jie was a mysterious powerhouse who had emerged in recent years, possessing unfathomable strength and even having clashed with the Immovable Bright King Great Venerable without being defeated.
"Zhang Ruochen, are you thinking about that Su Jie?" a voice suddenly sounded beside him.
Turning around, Zhang Ruochen saw Huang Yanchen approaching. Her white dress fluttered in the wind, her beautiful face tinged with a hint of concern.
"Yes." Zhang Ruochen nodded, "According to the intelligence, Su Jie's strength is at least at the Great Unbound Infinite level, and perhaps even stronger. His appearance might affect our plans."
Huang Yanchen frowned slightly, "The Great Unbound Infinite level? That's a realm even the Blood Absolute War God hasn't fully reached. Where did this Su Jie come from?"
"I don't know either." Zhang Ruochen shook his head, "But I have a feeling that he's not an enemy. At least, not for now."
"Not an enemy?" Huang Yanchen looked puzzled.
Zhang Ruochen smiled faintly, "Because if he wanted to be our enemy, he would have made a move already. But he didn't. Instead, he chose to observe from the shadows. This means he has his own purpose, and that purpose doesn't conflict with ours."
Huang Yanchen fell into thought. She trusted Zhang Ruochen's judgment, but the appearance of such a mysterious powerhouse still made her uneasy.
"Then what should we do now?" she asked.
"Continue with the original plan." Zhang Ruochen's gaze grew resolute, "Go to the Abyss of Darkness, find the Dark Abyss Yan Clan, and retrieve the Taiji Four Symbols Diagram Seal."
"Alright." Huang Yanchen nodded.
Just then, a spatial fluctuation suddenly appeared in the distance. Zhang Ruochen and Huang Yanchen immediately became alert, their divine senses spreading out.
Soon, a figure emerged from the void. It was a young man dressed in black, with a calm expression and deep eyes that seemed capable of seeing through all illusions.
"Su Jie?" Zhang Ruochen's pupils slightly constricted.
The young man in black smiled faintly, "Zhang Ruochen, I've heard a lot about you."
Zhang Ruochen's expression turned serious, "What do you want?"
"Don't be nervous, I'm not here to fight you." Su Jie said lightly, "I just want to give you a piece of advice."
"What advice?" Zhang Ruochen asked.
"The Abyss of Darkness is not as simple as you imagine." Su Jie's gaze grew profound, "There are forces there that even I can't see through. If you go rashly, you might fall into a trap."
Zhang Ruochen's brows furrowed, "What do you mean?"
"Simply put, the Dark Abyss Yan Clan is not your ally." Su Jie said calmly, "They have long since sided with the Nether Ancestor faction. The Taiji Four Symbols Diagram Seal is just bait to lure you in."
Hearing this, Zhang Ruochen's expression changed slightly. He looked at Su Jie, trying to discern the truth from his eyes.
"Why should I believe you?" Zhang Ruochen asked.
"Because I have no reason to lie to you." Su Jie smiled faintly, "Besides, if I wanted to harm you, I wouldn't need to go to such trouble."
Zhang Ruochen fell silent. He knew Su Jie was right. With the strength Su Jie had displayed, if he truly wanted to make a move, there was no need for such a roundabout approach.
"Then what do you suggest?" Zhang Ruochen asked.
"Change your target." Su Jie said, "Go to the Starry Sky Battlefield, find the Truth Temple. There, you'll find the answers you truly need."
"Truth Temple?" Zhang Ruochen was startled.
"That's right." Su Jie nodded, "The Truth Temple holds the secrets of the Way of Truth. If you can comprehend the true meaning of the Way of Truth, your strength will undergo a qualitative leap. By then, even if you face the Nether Ancestor faction head-on, you won't be at a disadvantage."
Zhang Ruochen fell into deep thought. Su Jie's suggestion was indeed tempting, but the Truth Temple was not an easy place to enter. It was one of the most mysterious forces in the Heavenly Court Universe, and even the Blood Absolute War God had to tread carefully there.
"I understand." Zhang Ruochen finally nodded, "Thank you for the advice."
"You're welcome." Su Jie smiled faintly, then his figure gradually faded away, "I hope we meet again."
After Su Jie left, Huang Yanchen asked, "Do you really trust him?"
"I don't fully trust him, but his advice is worth considering." Zhang Ruochen said, "Besides, the Truth Temple is indeed a place I've always wanted to visit."
"Then we're going to the Starry Sky Battlefield?" Huang Yanchen asked.
"Yes." Zhang Ruochen's gaze grew resolute, "Let's go to the Starry Sky Battlefield and find the Truth Temple."
With that, Zhang Ruochen and Huang Yanchen transformed into streaks of light, heading toward the distant starry sky.
Behind them, in the void, Su Jie's figure reappeared. He watched the departing Zhang Ruochen and Huang Yanchen, a meaningful smile curling at the corner of his mouth.
"Zhang Ruochen, don't let me down." he murmured softly, then vanished into the void.
