# Chapter 845: White Human Sheep
It was only when I truly walked into the "Zhongyan Land" that I realized how powerful White Sheep in the room actually was.
His games were even harder than many of the "Earth Grade" here, yet he called himself "Human Sheep". Could it be that White Sheep's strength was inferior to those useless idiots outside?
I recalled the terms in the "Zodiac Ascension Bet Contract". The contract stipulated that White Sheep needed to go through at least three instances of an empty room before he could fully ascend to "Earth Grade".
This place was just too strange. If all "Earth Grade" had signed this contract, then they should be incredibly powerful. But I never saw another "Zodiac" as strong as White Sheep again.
He was clearly the "peak of the tower", so how did he become the "foundation stone"?
If the "Zodiacs" here were divided into "Human" and "Earth", then above that there should be "Heaven", right?
Would the "Heaven" here be far stronger than White Sheep?
I drifted alone in this city for a month, almost three cycles' time, and found that the situation was no different from what I had imagined.
This was a city of despair, filled with deception.
Extreme conditions and the immense terror of death would expose the "evil" in everyone's heart. No matter what the conditions for escape were, as long as these people kept killing each other, all hope would gradually be extinguished.
Even if all the "Earth Grade" games here were not difficult, the "Participants" would create difficulties on their own.
Games that could be cleared through cooperation would collapse because of someone's suspicion. Games that required wisdom would always have low-intelligence fools barging in to stir up trouble.
Everyone here was asking themselves why they had come here, but I didn't have the leisure for that.
What we needed to do was not to explore the reason for coming here, but to find a way to escape.
After all, the reason they guessed was wrong. They said everyone who came here was because of "guilt", but that reason was absurd, because I didn't remember committing any crime at all.
How was "guilt" supposed to be defined?
If I accidentally stepped on an ant on the ground while walking, did that count as "killing"?
If I hung up on a telemarketer's call, causing him to fail his last sales target and eventually break down and commit suicide, did that count as "killing"?
If a classmate I hadn't contacted for a long time suddenly called me, saying he was seriously ill and needed money, and I didn't lend it, and he died, did that count as "killing"?
Why should my "guilt" be judged by others?
I wouldn't dare say my life was perfect and I never made any mistakes, but I also knew I wasn't some heinous villain. I never broke the law, never harmed anyone. That was all.
But this bizarre place had altered my memories. I was one hundred percent sure... something had invaded my mind.
My memory told me that because I was isolated and bullied in my university dormitory, I poisoned the water dispenser.
This was simply too absurd. The person who arranged this memory apparently didn't know me very well.
I had been isolated since childhood. There was no way I would suddenly have a reactive episode in university. And everything I did was to make myself better. How could I possibly throw away my future for a few "ordinary people"?
Even though the murder motive was there and the method was reasonable, if the culprit was supposed to be me, then the case itself was unreasonable.
I was unwavering in my life goals. There was no way I would do something so impulsive.
To me, people who enjoyed isolating and bullying others were themselves inferior. Why would I ruin my life for inferior people?
Even if I really wanted to do it... there were more covert methods.
After a few cycles, the others in the room gradually awakened their "Echoes", and the rules of this place began to reveal themselves to me.
As the saying goes, those who can swim are the ones who drown. If these people didn't have "Echoes", they wouldn't take risks.
But once they started to awaken their abilities, they would pursue higher rewards. In other words...
They began to disappear from the room.
From one or two people at the start, to five or six later.
No one could be blamed for this except White Sheep and me.
The three games in our "Interview Room" appeared far more difficult than the "Earth Grade Games" here. So many people from the room began to confidently try to bet their lives with the "Zodiacs".
But they didn't know that the reason they could get through such difficult games was first thanks to me, and second thanks to White Sheep. It had nothing to do with their own abilities.
By the time seven people had disappeared from the room, I started to worry about my own situation.
White Sheep's ultimate goal was to make all of us disappear. But I knew my own nature.
Everything I did was carefully considered. I would absolutely never entrust my life to something like "betting".
In other words, unless some uncontrollable change occurred, I would never bet my life with anyone.
That being the case... wouldn't I become White Sheep's biggest thorn in his side? He would definitely find a way to get rid of me.
No... there was one other survivor besides me: Zhang Qiang.
He was the only one who supported me during the "Liar" game. He seemed steady and silent, probably having a similar personality to mine.
The two of us witnessed the people in the room disappearing one by one, so we naturally knew what that meant. They would never return to this room. They were gone forever.
The next cycle, we woke up in the room as usual. I thought White Sheep would still read out the game rules as usual and tell us about the "God-making Plan" of the "Zhongyan Land". But unexpectedly, he changed his words.
" 'Brute Force' Zhang Qiang, 'Soul Capture' Yan Zhichun. Are you two interested in cooperating with me?"
After these words, not only the two of us, but even the Sandskin Dog and the Sheep beside White Sheep were stunned.
"White Sheep... what are you saying?" Sandskin Dog said. "Speak according to the rules. Don't cause trouble for us."
"Rules?" White Sheep sneered, looking at them, his voice muffled from behind his mask. "Should I keep telling them the rules they've heard countless times, then let them vote to kill me, and finally break out with 'Brute Force'?"
"Then what do you want?" Sandskin Dog asked coldly.
"Don't be foolish," White Sheep said. "These two people will never disappear from the room. I can tell from their eyes. If we do nothing, the ones who die for a long time to come will be the three of us. That being the case, we might as well find a more efficient way."
The Sheep standing beside them paused upon hearing this: "But this goes against the rules... White Sheep, what if the people above find out? Do you want to get us all killed?"
"Yes, but that's not the whole picture," White Sheep said. "If you two agree with my idea, then I will proceed to discuss further cooperation with them as usual. If you two disagree, I am prepared to have a bet with the two of you right here."
