# Chapter 758: Three Kinds of Lives

"Baa? Playing hero?" Qiao Jiajin looked at Chen Junnan with confusion.

"Don't the movies from your hometown always play out like this?" Chen Junnan wiped his nose and replied with a hint of a smile. "A girl finds out she's terminally ill and wants to break up with her boyfriend. A boy knows danger is coming and deliberately creates conflict with his brothers."

"Ah, I know that one." Qiao Jiajin nodded. "Very cliché. Prime-time soap operas act it out all the time."

"Yeah, yeah, too damn cliché." Chen Junnan chimed in from the side.

"Stop stealing concepts," Qi Xia said in a deep voice. "You know I'm not that kind of person. When I said those words, my mind only had clear logic and meticulous judgment."

Chen Junnan nodded after hearing this. "Then this young master uses sharp intuition and an unwillingness to judge."

Qiao Jiajin also smiled. "Then I might be using hard fists and not using my brain at all."

Qi Xia looked at the two in front of him with slight helplessness, then said softly, "I'm being serious with you."

"Is this young master not being serious?"

Qi Xia could only shake his head, not knowing how to persuade them.

"Lao Qi, both Lao Qiao and I have qualities that you lack, so I think you still can't do without either of us," Chen Junnan said. "You rely on your powerful rationality for everything you do, but I only rely on intuition."

"Does 'intuition' sound like any kind of reliable method?" Qi Xia asked with a frown.

"Yes, it's unreliable." Chen Junnan nodded. "But it is indeed a 'method.' This young master never looks at certainty when doing things—I just look at my intuition. Same goes for judging people."

"How so?"

"Whether outside or in here, this young master only makes friends through 'intuition,'" Chen Junnan continued explaining to Qi Xia. "Ninety-nine percent of people in this world, this young master doesn't even need to open his mouth—just one glance at them and he knows if they're on the same path. This method might seem simple and crude, but it works surprisingly well for me."

Qi Xia sighed slightly after hearing this. "Truly an unheard-of absurd notion."

"And Lao Qiao doesn't even use intuition," Chen Junnan added. "He's no different from a machete. Once he sets his sights on someone, he'll help them to the end, even if that person is scum. Do you think someone like that can be reasoned with and persuaded to back off?"

After hearing this, Qiao Jiajin reached over and patted Chen Junnan. "Handsome Boy, saying it like that makes me seem a bit like an idiot."

"Hey, Lao Qiao, what are you saying!" Chen Junnan threw his arm around Qiao Jiajin's shoulder. "Don't overthink it. What do you mean by 'seem'?"

"Oh, oh, that's good then." Qiao Jiajin nodded repeatedly.

Qi Xia lifted his head again and looked at the two, feeling a bit helpless in his heart.

Maybe it really was like Chen Junnan said—not everyone in this world does things based on "rationality." Some people rely on "intuition" and "faith."

Chen Junnan tossed the scrap wood in his hand into the campfire, which happened to send sparks flying, making the flickering room suddenly brighten for a moment.

"It's come to this." Chen Junnan's expression gradually turned serious as he stared at Qi Xia. "Even if we part ways here, do we have any other way to go? If either you or Chu Tianqiu are about to start a war with 'Celestial Dragon,' the outcome will definitely be a big reshuffle. Going anywhere else won't help."

"That's a bit one-sided," Qi Xia replied. "If you're just 'accomplices,' you might indeed get shuffled, and then everyone would lose their memories again. But if you always stand by my side as my teammates, the three of us could be completely wiped out, and then there would be no hope at all."

After hearing this, Chen Junnan swallowed and said, "Just how pissed off are you planning to make 'Celestial Dragon'?"

"Not just 'Celestial Dragon,'" Qi Xia said. "There's also another..."

As he said this, he reached up and rubbed his chin, swallowing those two words.

After all, "Azure Dragon" was the ears of the entire "Zhongyan Land," and his name wasn't convenient to mention here.

Chen Junnan and Qiao Jiajin seemed to think of something too, just nodding.

"This young master thought it was damn strange earlier," Chen Junnan laughed. "From now on, you should change your way of saying it. It's not that we're useless, but our 'Echo' is useless, right?"

Qi Xia slowly furrowed his brows after listening. "That's the reasoning."

"Meaning as long as the two of us don't block bullets for you," Chen Junnan suddenly gave a sly smile. "Then you can just wait to die on your own, kid."

Qi Xia knew he could no longer persuade these two. He could only shake his head and stop talking, dragging a chair over to sit by the bed, looking out the window at the gradually darkening sky.

Chen Junnan and Qiao Jiajin also exchanged a glance before standing up, taking a few tables and pushing them together to form a bed that could at least be laid down on.

"Lao Qi, still sleeping sitting up tonight?"

Hearing this question, Qi Xia thoughtfully rubbed his chin.

Sleep sitting up?

If what "Azure Dragon" said was true—that he had already made "Celestial Dragon" fall into a trap, that he had consumed a tremendous amount of "faith," even needing to delay his awakening to recover—then theoretically, tonight could already be a night of worry-free rest.

On the surface, this might be the only worry-free night in years.

If any other person had revealed this information, Qi Xia would have a certain probability of believing it.

But now, the one saying these words happened to be "Azure Dragon," so Qi Xia didn't believe a single word.

"Yes, I'll sleep sitting up. You two rest," Qi Xia said.

The two nodded after hearing this and stopped talking.

The night gradually quieted down. The three people stayed in their own corners with their own thoughts, only the crackling sound of the swaying campfire occasionally ringing out.

...

Zheng Yingxiong reached out and knocked on the classroom door. The several girls inside all looked up at him.

"Little Hero Brother," Tiantian smiled as she walked to the door. "What's wrong?"

"Sister, are you all going out together tomorrow to find people?" Zheng Yingxiong asked.

Tiantian turned back to glance at Yun Yao, then nodded. "Yeah, this place is huge. Finding people isn't easy. I'm planning to go with them—more people means more strength."

"Can I come along?" Zheng Yingxiong asked.

"You want to come with us?" Yun Yao and Lawyer Zhang exchanged a look. They weren't deeply impressed with this kid and didn't know what his intentions were.

"That's right. I want to look around here," Zheng Yingxiong nodded. He seemed to have something he found hard to say, always pursing his lips.

Tiantian reached out and patted Zheng Yingxiong's head. "I thought you'd be following Qi Xia."

"He's only one of my targets," Zheng Yingxiong looked up and said. "I also want to find another person... but the city is so big, I have no idea where to look. I can only try my luck."
