Chapter 231: New Member

Reduced to dust…

Yu Nian'an had witnessed the Day of Finality.

This wasn't surprising. Not just this time—Yu Nian'an would live here forever, witnessing every "Finality." Unless someone could kill her, she would never disappear.

But who could possibly kill her?

Even though she was a replica, she possessed everything that made Yu Nian'an who she was.

Qi Xia naturally couldn't bring himself to do it, nor would he allow anyone else to. In this place, no one was permitted to kill any Yu Nian'an. Better to spare ten thousand than to wrongfully kill even one.

But if this continued… could it really work out?

Just as Qi Xia had thought, one day this place would be "full of Yu Nian'ans."

Just then, a faint knock sounded at the door. Kim Won-hoon stood outside.

Lin Qin opened the door and asked, "What's wrong?"

"Which hyung here is Qi Xia?" Kim Won-hoon asked.

"I am." Qi Xia replied.

"Hyung, someone's looking for you," Kim Won-hoon organized his words. "Came specifically to find you."

"Looking for me…?" Qi Xia furrowed his brow, his mind a mess with no clue.

"It's a noona." Kim Won-hoon gestured. "Short hair, very neat, bright eyes."

Hearing this, Qi Xia slowly stood up. He remembered who it was.

Su Shan.

"Alright, I'll go see her."

Qi Xia followed Kim Won-hoon out the door and sure enough saw the girl whose eyes seemed to sparkle.

She was staring blankly at the mountain of corpses in the center of the "Heaven's Entrance" playground.

"Su Shan, you're here." Qi Xia said as he walked toward her.

"West side, school, Heaven's Entrance, Qi Xia." Su Shan frowned and pointed at the massive pile of bodies before her. "Did you trick me here just to slaughter me?"

"My name isn't that long." Qi Xia shook his head. "You should know what kind of person I am. If I wanted to slaughter you, I wouldn't have gone through all this trouble to lure you here."

"I suppose so." Su Shan nodded. "So what exactly are you people doing here? Collecting corpses?"

"Not exactly." Qi Xia looked around and asked, "Where's that two-meter-tall teammate of yours? Why didn't you bring him?"

Su Shan was silent for a moment before answering, "I think you were right. If I want to survive here, I don't need to keep looking after the weak."

"You're lying again." Qi Xia stared into Su Shan's eyes. "Su Shan, you're afraid the path I showed you leads straight to hell, so you deliberately left your teammate behind, right?"

Hearing this, Su Shan gave a bitter smile.

"Qi Xia, you're terrifying." She shook her head. "How are you always able to see right through me?"

"Because you're not that cold-hearted." Qi Xia replied. "You fought tooth and nail to protect your teammates in the 'Weapon Card' game. That was only yesterday for you. There's no way you could have changed so drastically overnight."

"True." Su Shan said. "Qi Xia, you killed me with your own hands after all, so I can't fully trust you. But my gut told me I had to come here and see for myself no matter what."

"You made the right decision." Qi Xia answered. "Joining me will increase your chances of getting out."

"Then… what exactly is this place?" Su Shan asked. "Do we keep coming back to life?"

Qi Xia looked at the enormous pile of corpses beside him and said quietly, "Come inside first. I'll tell you everything."

Su Shan followed Qi Xia back into the classroom, startling Dr. Zhao.

He knew this girl was no ordinary character. In the "Land of Finality," not many people could trade blows with Qi Xia for several rounds and come out alive.

"Let me introduce everyone." Qi Xia said. "This is Su Shan. She's very sharp. Starting today, she's joining us."

Qiao Jiajin sized up Su Shan with curiosity. "If Conman says you're 'sharp,' then you must be pretty impressive."

Su Shan felt a little shy as she greeted everyone.

Honestly, Qi Xia's teammates seemed much friendlier than Qi Xia himself, which made Su Shan relax a little.

Except for the tattooed guy next to her—he didn't look like a good person. But the rest seemed decent enough.

"Qi Xia, so are you the leader of 'Heaven's Entrance'?" Su Shan asked. "How many people are here?"

"I'm not the leader." Qi Xia said. "I'm just an extremely dangerous person in 'Heaven's Entrance.' There are about thirty people here."

Qi Xia briefly explained to Su Shan the goal of "Heaven's Entrance"—to gamble the lives of all Zodiacs—and then gave her some basic knowledge about the "Land of Finality."

But what surprised everyone was that Qi Xia also laid out all the grievances between himself and Chu Tianqiu.

This wasn't just for Su Shan's sake—it was for every teammate sitting before him.

From Qi Xia's first meeting with Chu Tianqiu all the way to their last bloody clash.

Qiao Jiajin couldn't take it anymore.

"Conman… you're saying Tianqiu did all this? He's killing teammates?"

Qi Xia nodded. "Yes."

"Then why the hell are we joining him?" The more Qiao Jiajin thought about it, the angrier he got. "What's that bastard thinking? I'm going to go kick his ass."

"No need." Qi Xia shook his head. "Fist, the reason I'm staying here is because Chu Tianqiu still has some use. He promised me two thousand nine hundred 'Daos' and hasn't delivered yet. If we can get that many 'Daos,' we won't be far from getting out."

Everyone's expressions turned grim.

A character like Chu Tianqiu—would he really be willing to hand over all those "Daos"?

And what if he suddenly went mad and killed them all again?

Lin Qin's face was also dark. She had walked the Land of Finality for years, and even the "Cats" gave her some respect. But Chu Tianqiu didn't care at all. Was he truly insane?

"So what do we do next?" Qiao Jiajin asked again.

"Next, Su Shan will serve as the team's new brain, responsible for arranging your games." Qi Xia said. "This time, no one has to listen to Chu Tianqiu's arrangements."

Everyone felt something was off.

"Su Shan as the new brain…" Qiao Jiajin blinked. "And you?"

"This time, I have a special operation." Qi Xia said. "I will go alone into various 'Earth-level' games. If you want to live, try not to enter those games—so you won't have to face me as your opponent."

"Going alone into 'Earth-level' games…?"

Han Yimo, who had been silent for a long time, finally spoke up: "Qi Xia… that's not right, is it?"

"What?" Qi Xia turned his head. "What's not right?"

"As the 'Savior'… why are you going into the games alone? Shouldn't you take me with you?"

Qi Xia found the question somewhat ridiculous.

To put it bluntly, even if he wanted to take anyone, it would never be Han Yimo.

"You don't need to go die." Qi Xia shook his head. "I'll go alone. Remember my advice—try not to participate in 'Earth-level' games."

Just then, the pale-faced young man sitting in the corner of the room spoke up abruptly: "Hey, bro… can I have a word with you alone?"

"Alone?" Qi Xia was slightly taken aback. "Alright, let's go outside."

The two walked out into the schoolyard.

The young man stared at Qi Xia for a long time, then slowly broke into a smile. "You're a funny guy—telling us not to go into 'Earth-level' games…"

"What do you mean?"

"Why shouldn't we go into 'Earth-level' games… and kill you in them?"
