Chapter 1353: "Bringing Disaster"
The two of them looked up at Chu Tianqiu and Tianlong on the steps with curiosity, clearly wanting to help out.
Then they exchanged a glance, slowly ascended the steps, and looked at Tianlong and Chu Tianqiu, who were both sleeping with their eyes closed, lost in their grand dreams.
Their expressions were calm, giving no indication of what they were doing.
Before long, Qiao Jiajin couldn't help but ask, "Is this situation... correct?"
"I don’t know... but can we talk now?"
They suddenly seemed to think of something, quickly covered their mouths, and retreated from the steps.
At this moment, if they spoke carelessly and Tianlong, who was dreaming, heard their voices, what would happen?
Although they didn’t understand "Entering Dreams," they had all had dreams before, and they knew that things happening in reality and sounds heard could, to some extent, affect the content of a dream.
Qiao Jiajin and Zhang Shan were completely at a loss.
The room was completely sealed off. Where were they supposed to go? What were they supposed to do next?
"Cough..." Qinglong spat out another mouthful of blood, startling the two.
"Damn it..." Zhang Shan hurried over to Qinglong, picked up Qiao Jiajin’s clothes from the floor, rolled them into a pillow, and placed it under Qinglong’s head. "This kid can’t die yet..."
"Huh?" Qiao Jiajin also rushed over. "Are you trying to save Little Green?"
"No... If he dies, Tianlong dies too." Zhang Shan frowned. "I feel like we can’t let him die now... at least until Chu Tianqiu is done."
The two of them could feel Qinglong’s breathing becoming more and more labored. He was clearly on the verge of death. Whatever Chu Tianqiu was planning to do, they could only hope he would hurry up.
"Sigh... Sorry, Little Green..." Qiao Jiajin said. "Even I can’t take that flying knee of mine. It’s tough on you."
"Damn it, can you actually take any of your own moves, kid?"
"Pretty much."
Just as the two were hesitating, the room’s "door" suddenly began to shift. It twisted and warped before their eyes, and the shattered cracks started to mend themselves.
They stared dumbfounded for a long time. Qiao Jiajin, confused, stepped forward and slowly pulled the door open, only to find the "corridor" outside.
But the situation seemed different from before they had entered. The "doors" on both sides were battered and ruined, and the floor was nowhere near as neat as it had been in the "locomotive."
"What’s going on now?" Qiao Jiajin whispered, peering left and right down the corridor. "The outside looks kind of familiar... like when we first came out of the 'interview room'..."
"I don’t know either..." Zhang Shan scratched his head. "Looks like the 'corridor' has come alive."
As they were observing, they suddenly saw a figure emerge from one of the doors in the distance. He stepped onto the corridor and was about to flash further away when Zhang Shan recognized him.
"Xiao Jin?"
"Huh? Bro?" Jin Yuanxun quickly steadied himself, turned around, and asked with confusion, "Bro? Why are you here? Isn’t this the exit of the 'tail car'?"
"T-tail car?" The two were stunned, unsure what that meant.
Jin Yuanxun didn’t have time to say much. He asked again, "Is Brother Chu here too?"
"Shh!" Zhang Shan raised a finger to his lips. "He’s currently 'Entering Dreams.' Don’t—"
Before he could finish, Qiao Jiajin sensed something was wrong. He grabbed Jin Yuanxun and yanked him forcefully into the room. The next second, the entire corridor began to shatter on a massive scale, and countless figures drifted out into the void.
The entire "train," for some reason, started shaking violently at that moment.
Everyone sensed that something was off.
This tremor was even more intense than the "Heaven-level Moment" they had just experienced.
"What the hell..." Chen Junnan, bracing himself against the doorframe, watched the corridor outside crumble piece by piece. "What the hell is going on?!"
Outside, countless people, unable to take shelter in time, fell instantly into the abyss of nothingness.
He noticed that now, without the corridor, the rooms could still see each other from a distance, as if they had always been close together in the void.
Just as the situation reached a critical point, Zheng Yingxiong sprinted to the doorway. Stepping on several cracked floorboards, he leaped toward the room.
Chen Junnan reacted quickly. Just as the boy was about to fall into the abyss, he reached out, grabbed him, and pulled him into his arms before retreating into the room. Both of them tumbled to the floor.
"Ah, shit?" Chen Junnan was startled. "You little brat, you’ve got some serious guts..."
"Chen Junnan!" Zheng Yingxiong shouted. "Watch out! Everything outside is collapsing!"
"Thanks for the heads up! I’m not blind!"
Qin Dingdong, also thrown off balance inside the room, fell over, feeling as though the entire "train" was experiencing a massive earthquake.
But why would a "train" experience an earthquake?
Could this seemingly failed "rebellion" not be over after all...?
"This isn’t good. Xiao Jin! Xiao Jin, go save people! First—" Chen Junnan turned around, only to see that the only person standing in the room was Qin Dingdong, with four others lying on the floor. "Damn it, where’s Xiao Jin?"
He looked at Qin Dingdong in confusion.
"What are you looking at me for? Do you think I can catch that lightning-fast kid?" Qin Dingdong shot back.
"Damn... That kid is practically Nezha, zipping around like he’s on Wind Fire Wheels." Chen Junnan pointed at Zheng Yingxiong. "It’s okay, Sister Dong. We’ll team up with this kid... and take care of the four lying down first..."
He stopped mid-sentence.
Wait. How the hell did it become four people?
Yan Zhichun, Jiang Ruoxue, Lin Qin... and who was the last one?
"Xiao Jin isn’t lying here, is he?!" Chen Junnan, amid the violent shaking, led Zheng Yingxiong over to the group and checked.
Zhang Lijuan was lying there, her expression peaceful as she slept.
"Sister!" Zheng Yingxiong said with some relief. "I found her by following the 'scent.' Glad she’s okay."
"Uh..."
Chen Junnan felt like something was wrong with him.
"Wait, Sister Dong... Did we always have four people sleeping in this room?"
"Uh..." Qin Dingdong also noticed something off at that moment. "Looks like there’s an extra one."
"Forget it, never mind!" Chen Junnan quickly blocked the door. "Sister Dong, help me out! If these four get thrown out, we’re in trouble!"
Qin Dingdong nodded quickly and rushed over to help Chen Junnan hold the door shut.
At that moment, Zheng Yingxiong caught an unusually intense scent. He snapped his head up and looked toward the doorway.
This terrifying scent was called "Bringing Disaster."
...
Han Yimo was jolted awake by the violent shaking.
He opened his eyes and felt pain all over his body.
How strange. He hadn’t fought a single battle today, so why was he in so much pain?
"This doesn’t fit the protagonist’s script at all... Where’s my final showdown...?"
He stared groggily at the ceiling and smacked his lips.
Even though he hadn’t fought, he had slept well.
A few seconds later, Han Yimo snapped fully awake.
Something wasn’t right.
He remembered he had been in some "Gokudo" member’s room. That group of "Gokudo" had brought him here when he was badly injured, but they seemed to have abandoned him midway to go do something else.
What was happening now?
An earthquake?
And why was this room so dark?
Who turned off the light when they left?
"Wait... an earthquake..." Han Yimo shouted in panic. "Earthquakes only happen in the real world... This isn’t the 'Otherworld' at all!"
He struggled to get up, but his injuries were too severe. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t move.
"It’s over... It’s all over... Everything is going to shatter... Every damn thing in here is going to fall apart!!"
