Chapter 1107: The Hell Battle
Chen Junnan's eyes widened, and he said, "You fooled all of them?"
"This matter is too complicated. There's no time to explain now." Qi Xia gave the others a meaningful look. "Move out first."
Chen Junnan turned back and met Qiao Jiajin's eyes. The two nodded and began leading the group out of the final "door."
Once everyone had left, Qi Xia turned back and went to the "Door of Rout," approaching Qinglong and Xuanwu.
After landing, Xuanwu did not pause. Her body sprang up like a coil, and she reached out her hand again.
A hint of confusion flickered across her face, as if she herself didn't understand why, after she had torn out her opponent's heart, he could still launch such a powerful attack.
A moment later, a cyan-black heart appeared in Xuanwu's hand once more.
This was Qinglong's second heart.
Xuanwu frowned, looking at her right hand with bewilderment, then at the heart she had crushed in the distance. Under what circumstances could one possibly extract two hearts from a single person?
Witnessing this scene, Qi Xia furrowed his brow slightly. Under these extreme conditions, he greedily absorbed the memories surging toward him from all directions.
This would be one of his few opportunities. The more memories he recovered, the greater his chances of victory.
After having his heart extracted, Qinglong paused again for half a second, then continued his assault on Xuanwu's back.
Xuanwu made an instant decision, using "Leap" to flicker and dodge the attack before tossing Qinglong's heart like a bullet, instantly creating a sonic boom.
Qinglong sidestepped his own heart, his fierce palm wind surging forward again.
Xuanwu quickly retreated a few steps to evade the attack, then pulled out a piece of lung. But Qinglong only paused for a fraction of a second before unleashing his killing moves again, flying once more toward Xuanwu's back.
The scene that followed would have been utterly horrifying in any context, yet Qinglong and Xuanwu seemed completely oblivious to it as they kept colliding into each other.
Xuanwu continuously pulled organs from Qinglong's body and hurled them at him like bullets, striking heart with heart, lung with lung.
The entire arena was instantly dyed red with blood, littered with the liver, heart, spleen, and lungs torn from Qinglong's body. They shattered into pieces, transforming the battlefield into a hell of knives.
Qinglong, however, seemed increasingly unaffected. He simply reached out and brushed aside his own organs, his expression as blank as if he were discarding trash.
Xuanwu gradually realized that Qinglong's internal organs seemed inexhaustible. Whenever she reached in to take one, the empty space would be filled by a new organ appearing out of thin air. This was a situation she had never encountered before.
But at this moment, Xuanwu could think of no better way to subdue Qinglong. She only knew she had to give it her all.
If she couldn't force a conclusion here, what awaited her was still endless torment.
With that thought, she lowered her conviction deeply. A moment later, she slowly extended her hand.
Under Qi Xia's watchful gaze, Xuanwu pulled a bloody spinal column out of the void.
Qinglong's forward momentum faltered as his body seemed to deflate, but a moment later he stood up again like a spring, his face twisted with madness.
He still showed no sign of being affected.
For the first time, Xuanwu felt a sliver of fear. But she knew she couldn't stop. If she stopped here, everything would be for nothing.
So she swiftly swung the spinal column, hacking down at Qinglong.
Taking advantage of the moment Xuanwu swung the organ, Qinglong activated "Leap" and vanished from his spot, reappearing at Xuanwu's side. He turned his hand into a blade and neatly severed Xuanwu's right arm at the shoulder.
Before the arm could fall, Qinglong grabbed it by the wrist and held it in his hand like a weapon.
Xuanwu felt no pain. The severed spot simply revealed a pitch-black color. She quickly used her other hand to catch the falling spinal column.
But before she could counterattack, in the next second, Qinglong used Xuanwu's own arm as a weapon and swung it fiercely into her abdomen.
Xuanwu couldn't block in time. She was struck solidly by her own arm and sent flying again, slamming deep into the wall.
She didn't know what she was feeling. Though there was no pain or itch, her entire body felt uncomfortable.
Qinglong chuckled lightly, weighed the arm in his hand, then hurled it like a javelin at Xuanwu, who was still embedded in the wall.
The arm struck true, standing upright as it pierced Xuanwu's abdomen like a steel spike, pinning her to the wall.
Xuanwu seemed unaffected, merely letting out a soft cough.
Then she slowly reached down, pulled out her own arm, and fell from the wall.
The wound on her abdomen was pitch black. Her long hair covered all expression on her face.
She looked at the arm in her hand and found that, though severed, it was still under her control, still able to move.
So she grabbed her right hand with her left, and with her right hand, she grabbed the spinal column. A strangely shaped weapon now rested in her grip.
For Xuanwu, this battle was far too difficult.
After fighting for so long, she hadn't managed to inflict a single wound on Qinglong.
So the path had to be taken step by step. To kill Qinglong, she had to start by making him bleed.
"Heh..." Qinglong sneered at Xuanwu's killing intent. "Xuanwu... still not giving up? Do you really think you can kill me with 'Brute Force'?"
"I only know that you've broken the rules," Xuanwu replied coldly. "Breaking the rules means accepting punishment. Here, no one is an exception."
"I'll get bored of this soon enough," Qinglong said. "When I do, I'll take all your 'Rationality.' Not a single shred will remain."
"Take my rationality..." Xuanwu slowly curled her lips into a grin. "Taking my rationality... that's fine..."
Qinglong frowned. Before he could speak, he saw Xuanwu already "leaping" toward him with her strange weapon.
In an instant, Xuanwu appeared before him. Qinglong focused his gaze on her remaining arm, preparing to block her attack, when he saw Xuanwu gently toss her own arm high into the air.
The thrown arm twisted in midair, then grasped the spinal column and swung it downward with force.
Qinglong was about to defend when his vision suddenly went completely black.
Two eyeballs were now clutched in Xuanwu's remaining hand. She squeezed them, bursting them in her grip, then drove her clenched fist into Qinglong's abdomen.
Qinglong, blinded in an instant, couldn't react in time before feeling a massive impact to his abdomen.
Then a cool sensation sliced across his face, cutting from the top of his skull all the way down to his chin.
*Riiip.*
In a single second, both Qinglong and Xuanwu stopped moving.
Xuanwu slowly raised her head and caught her own arm.
Qinglong's entire skull had been split in two by his own spinal column, the inside exposed like a freshly bloomed flower, revealing a vivid red.
She had assumed Qinglong possessed "Immortality" like her, but she hadn't expected the wound on his split head not to be black.
At that moment, Qinglong's head was cleaved in two, both eye sockets dark voids. His hair was disheveled, making him look like a demon.
"Haha..." Qinglong's two separated mouths laughed in unison. "How wonderful... Xuanwu, well done. I never thought I'd see the day."
As his voice fell, Qinglong's split halves slowly drew back together. His two eyeballs also coalesced in their sockets like swirling vortexes.
