# Chapter 2: Return (Part 1)

Countless illusory roars rang out, stirring up a tide-like rustling across the world like a sea of trees.

There were the sharp cries of insects, the low growls of beasts, the friction of limbs and carapaces colliding, the vibrations of vocal cords and the clash of sound bones—though the sounds were not uniform, the spirit contained within them was completely identical.

Joshua stood at the center of the silver world. High-density stars released endless light and heat, while at the same time, countless voices stirred up gales that swirled around the star, turning the hazy silver mist into vortex-like cloud clusters, like enormous eyes.

He saw that countless obelisks were releasing light. The obelisks that covered the entire world rose from the earth as countless straight pillars of light, densely occupying every space.

Gazing at these endless pillars of light, Joshua set down his greatsword, closed his eyes, and began to conceive.

Then, across numerous worlds, thousands upon thousands of illusory projections began to be filled and reshaped with shimmering silver points of light.

In the deserts and farmlands of the Siberia World, beneath the watchful gaze of the Steel Serpent hidden within the world's inner depths, countless insects and beasts were shaped into form. There were giant butterflies with beautiful wings capable of spreading pollen and seeds, and large groups of three-headed moles that could move underground, loosening hard, compacted rocky soil. Large numbers of Siberia people had never seen before, nor even imagined, such magical creatures appeared. They were not necessarily all safe species, but they could bring a completely new climate and ecological cycle to the entire world, and could also add to the Siberia people's menu.

Even in the empty seas, a simple but complete biological chain began to emerge—from microbes to plankton, from small fish to giant whales roaming the ocean—everything was present.

In the Carlis World, several powerful city lords raised their heads. They had once possessed Saint Domain, also known as Legendary strength, but now, because of the too-intense conflicts of the past, they had all retreated to mortal forms to recuperate their souls and bodies. Now, these powerful beings watched in shock as beasts and plants emerged one by one in the wilderness outside the city. They saw, in the desolate sandy land, a giant rock serpent roaring and churning before burrowing underground, while a plant thirty meters tall with a strange blue gem atop its head took root in the fine sandstone. With powerful mana pulsing, dark clouds gradually gathered in the sky above.

It could be foreseen that an unprecedented torrential rain was about to arrive. This war plant, once used in some world to control storms, destroy cities, and annihilate armies, could now bring life to the dried-up desert.

Similarly, the Silver Fairies remaining in the Carlis World cheered, because a giant steel tree rose from beneath their settlement. The giant tree spread its leaves and bloomed, and pollen rich in various trace elements that Silver Fairies greatly enjoyed immediately enveloped the entire camp.

In the Chronos World, the Thunder Ancient Dragon sensed a familiar aura. It also understood what the familiar warrior was now doing. So, this ancient dragon, whose mission was to create ancient life environments, felt deep shock, because what the other was doing now was adding weight to the fragile ecological systems of many weakened worlds. One species after another appeared, joining the local ecosystems, greatly accelerating the recovery of those local worlds.

One could see a giant dragon turtle carrying a green giant tree on its back appearing at the location of the portal between the 'Sea World' and the Chronos World. It let out a long cry, stirring up towering waves, and then the dragon turtle soared into the sky, carrying endless moisture, and began flying toward the deserts scattered across the world, scattering purified water sources and tree seeds. It could be foreseen that in the coming decades, the entire Chronos World would become a green world.

"Father..."

In the Abyss—Bloodmoon Abyss, within the Bloodmoon, the giant Light Humanoid was originally watching the blood-colored continent beneath it. There, the Tree of Life had been mutated by overly powerful forces. It had become a giant tree similar to a banyan, with countless aerial roots hanging down. The Blood-colored Tree of Life was immensely huge, rooted in every part of the continent, and also rooted in all the scattered floating islands. The highly developed aerial roots linked all the lands of this world, with countless lands stabilized and connected by the giant tree's branches.

The Light Humanoid controlled the growth of the giant tree—this was the game it had been endlessly enjoying in recent years. But now, as silver obelisks appeared and a vast will connected, the Light Humanoid immediately understood that its new gift was coming.

Soon, accompanied by joyful, clear 'ding-dong ding-dong' sounds, countless gentle little animals appeared one by one on this continent—white, fox-like creatures with red eyes, yellow, electric mouse-like beings. They had no ecological cycle to worry about; the world itself would take care of these creatures. They were merely a delightful gift.

And similarly in the Abyss, the Glutton Demon Lord Goliath closed his eyes. He now only had a remnant of shadow remaining. In the Sixth Abyss, no silver obelisks appeared, but the Demon Lord received information that crossed the void—he had learned the method of transforming worlds, the necessary knowledge for reshaping ecosystems, and some basic techniques for biological modification and creation.

In the Extreme Dark Abyss, the deepest silver world.

As one beast after another was awakened, the obelisks' pulsation was catalyzed to its maximum. Then, accompanied by an even more prolonged and desolate horn sound, finally, at the topmost lava island, a lava-shaped humanoid began to be filled and manifested from the inside out.

One could see, starting from the most basic elemental streams, a fundamental natural rune collection similar to carbon-based biological genes appeared. One could see crystallized energy channels attached to the flowing lava, like blood vessels threading through muscle. More solid rock formed the creature's skeleton, finally combining into a small giant over five meters tall.

*Puff.* A ball of golden flame appeared atop the lava giant's head, then seeped into its body, spreading throughout—that was the elemental creature's soul, its thinking circuit, its control center. It was also its observation organ, and its final means of attack.

'Opening' its eyes, amidst the endless scorching lava, the elemental giant looked up in confusion.

Then, on the wind-swept earth, it gazed at the distant stars.

The failures who had been reborn looked out in bewilderment at the starry sky they had never dared to hope for. Thousands of years had passed, even tens of thousands of years. The humble lives that had been destroyed into dust could finally stand once more upon the earth, gazing at the vast firmament.
