# Chapter 49: Rebirth (End of Volume)
A new dawn arrived.
When the silver-blue orb fell into the soul sea, turbid ripples spread across the water, and the cold silver flames expanded along the ripples, filling heaven and earth in an instant.
The unlit embers were ignited, the radiance of the flames filled the cosmos, incomparably bright light like the morning sun, like a sharp sword, piercing through the thick ocean of souls, shooting straight toward the dark ocean floor. One could see countless currents of souls flowing rapidly, they feared, they dreaded this firelight, yet like moths drawn to flame, they yearned toward it uncontrollably.
Ten minutes had arrived.
Joshua calculated the time silently in his heart, then waved his hand and issued the command.
Then, his 'Order Light' began to operate rapidly, beginning to burn chaos and convert it into order.
Order and chaos could never be converted.
In the past, the contaminated Steel Serpent Mycroft had said this. It was the first existence to which the Sage had applied the conversion method learned from the Decay Evil God, attempting to put it into practice. The Mother of All Things cooperated with the Sage, using chaos to repair itself, then converting chaos into order, thereby reviving the world.
But in the end, the Steel Serpent failed. It could not endure the immense pain of conversion and went mad, nearly destroying the Mycroft World outright. Even though it was stopped in the end, it still led to the end of the Era of Radiance.
Mycroft was right. Order and chaos could never be converted.
Because order and chaos were never opposites to begin with.
Joshua stood above the soul sea, his expression neither joyful nor sorrowful. He gazed indifferently at the sea of gray-black flames, burning away the essence of the Decay Evil God.
The warrior ignited that sea of chaos which harbored infinite resentment and despair, stripping away all the grudges and sorrow, converting the chaos that eroded all things back into its primordial state, while bearing the joys and sorrows of an entire world upon himself, closing his eyes.
What opposed order was chaos, the beastly evil that had lost civilization. Their representatives were demons, those bloodthirsty beasts that had lost their homes and worlds, lost in the abyss. Order could be converted into chaos at any time, and if chaos had the opportunity, it could naturally regain civilization and convert back into order.
But the Chaos Evil God was different.
Some had said that evil gods were the vengeful spirits of destroyed worlds. This statement was wrong. Worlds had no vengeful spirits; only intelligent life had vengeful spirits.
Evil gods were not vengeful spirits. They were merely weapons, forged from the wreckage of worlds, with the vengeful spirits of civilizations and entire races as their core, mixed with primordial chaos and some unknown 'transcendent power', creating 'world-destroying weapons'. They destroyed civilizations and worlds, turning them into chaos, but this was not complete annihilation. Chaos would reignite in the distant future, once again becoming worlds and civilizations, and then the evil god would come again, harvesting yet another cycle.
And the scope of this harvesting and cycle was the entire multiverse.
Feeling the pain and regret experienced by the unknown species that was the predecessor of the Decay Evil God at the moment of its destruction, Joshua's soul had no fluctuation. Unlike other legendary experts, his soul was merely a tool, not a true spirit carrying his own will. If the soul collapsed, he would simply replace it, as convenient as an ordinary human replacing an organ.
What opposed chaos was the First Flame. To convert it, unless one had the power of the true First Flame at the center of the multiverse, one could only use other means to decay and transform it into a form that could be affected. The Decay Evil God, because of its power, was perhaps the only evil god in the entire multiverse capable of revealing this pattern. Only when it decayed its own chaotic power into primordial Steel Force did the warrior gain the opportunity to severely wound it.
One could see that as resentment and grudges were extracted, and chaos was converted into brilliant silver crystals under the erosion of an absolute quantity of Steel Force, the originally turbid, dim soul sea, overflowing with the stench of decay, began to become clear and transparent. Brilliant light shot straight to the ocean floor, and the evil god's power dissipated like mist under sunlight.
At the bottom of the sea, Priest had already collected fifty-two soul light points. He too sensed that ten minutes had arrived, and that his own soul had been eroded by chaos, covered in wounds, with no more strength to continue deeper to rescue souls.
But at this moment, deep in the dark seabed, he saw a glimmer of light, and also an extremely strong repulsive force.
"So this is my limit, it seems."
Without reluctance or regret, embracing the fifty-two soul light points, Priest merely sighed softly, then his gaze returned to firmness: "Today, I can only rescue fifty-two souls... but only today."
I understand, teacher... I will become stronger.
Then, he was directly ejected from the soul space by an incomparably powerful repulsive force.
At the same time, Nature Mentor, the Great Khan, a certain legendary magical beast, and everyone in the Elite Squad all felt this repulsive force. A powerful gravitational force stirred space-time, sending them all out of this space with a gentle but undeniable force.
Sealed World, Cosmic Vacuum.
Huge deep-green tree root vines stretched and curled at the edge of the world. Nature Mentor protected the nine warships and the Aklafa Hub under her branches, forming a huge ball of thorny vines. Layer upon layer of natural force shields, with the branches as their veins and meridians, coalesced into one, forming a defensive fortress capable of withstanding nearly any attack.
But even such a powerful defensive fortress was pushed out of the world by an irresistible yet gentle force.
And before being pushed out of the sealed world by this force, Galannod saw a sight that would shock anyone.
At the original seal of the Decay Evil God, where the planetary world had been, a silver planet was expanding, growing. One could see that the originally solid silver Steel Force was melting, becoming a form like water waves.
One could see waves hundreds of stories high rising on the planet, dozens of huge whirlpools spinning wildly on the star's surface, and countless prismatic brilliant crystals protruding from the sea surface, rising from the center of the whirlpools. Although the crystals exposed above the sea were not large, judging from the shadows beneath the ocean, each crystal was more spectacular and majestic than any mountain in the world. And within their massive main bodies beneath the ocean, a cluster of golden-red flames seemed to be burning.
The planet was deforming.
Along with the entire world.
Galannod seemed to see a huge Φ-shaped symbol shining at the center of the sealed world. The original elemental sun had long collapsed, devoured by the silver planet as a source of energy, and the chaotic mist that had filled the entire world had long been purified by the light released by the crystals. The world was unprecedentedly clean.
"Joshua, what exactly do you plan to do?!"
Nature Mentor couldn't help but shout loudly. She knew Joshua could definitely hear her and could definitely answer. At the same time, the entire sealed world began to distort unnaturally. One could see the world barrier suddenly contract, collapse, like a can with all its internal air extracted, unnaturally caving in a section.
Accompanied by rumbling vibrations, a huge human voice with multiple echoes sounded.
"Just as I said before, Galannod, I'm going to eat it."
"Then let all souls be reborn."
In my world.
This was the only way.
The souls devoured and eroded by the Decay Evil God had long lost all sense of self. They were left with only pure information and structure, existing as the essence providing energy and erosive power. Saving them was nearly impossible, because the difficulty was equivalent to creating new souls from scratch.
Even Joshua could not accomplish the task of reshaping hundreds of millions or tens of billions of souls at present. This had nothing to do with power. Nearly all souls were damaged. The information they stored had long shattered in thousands or tens of thousands of years of conflict, just like the soul barriers Joshua had shattered earlier. Even if they were repaired, what would appear would be new souls, not the original ones.
Since that was the case, then simply start everything over. Let everything be reborn.
Together with the 'world'.
Nature Mentor, along with everyone else, was 'invited' out of the sealed world. Outside the world, numerous void behemoths were frantically retreating, leaving the world that was constantly collapsing and shrinking. Their instincts sensed great terror. Within that shrinking world, a power sufficient to completely annihilate them was pulsing.
"Radcliffe!"
Gritting her teeth, Galannod gazed at the sealed world with an extremely complex expression. She roughly understood what Joshua was going to do, which was why she couldn't stand by and do nothing. He planned to use the sealed world as material, with the world embryo he possessed as the source, to recreate a new world similar to Fairyland!
But how could he act so arbitrarily in such a dangerous operation?! They had all agreed that if necessary, Joshua could shape the world under the protection of several legendary experts to avoid danger, so that Mycroft wouldn't lose a powerful legendary expert who might approach the Sage.
But soon, Nature Mentor could no longer just watch, because she saw that, centered on the sealed world, the entire void began to vibrate violently. Space-time currents were disrupted, forming a terrifying space-time storm.
In the silent storm, Nature Mentor had to retreat. She bound the Great Khan's soul entity, the nine warships, and the Aklafa Hub together with her tree roots, then directed Fluffy to lead those void behemoths away. Galannod herself began to prepare to evade the space-time storm. She looked around unwillingly, but found that she truly couldn't do anything, so she could only leave resentfully.
At this moment, the Great Khan's soul body, which should have been unconscious, involuntarily trembled its claws upon seeing the collapsing world.
"I need to stay far away from these monsters..."
The Great Khan thought silently: "I didn't expect that here isn't much better than outside."
The Star Shepherd race was a race that fled and wandered through the multiverse to avoid dangers and disasters in their original world star river. Heading toward the Lost Star River, which might be an ancient battlefield of their ancestors, was a decision made by their entire race. After all, in their eyes, a star river that had shown no significant light in ten thousand years was certainly safer than other places.
But in reality, they had only just entered not long ago when they encountered the awakening of an evil god, and a powerful ancestral-level expert capable of suppressing the evil god. And behind this expert, there seemed to be an entire revived ancestral civilization!
This decision was truly countless times worse than they had imagined!
And just as the Great Khan was thinking about how to restore his strength and command the fleet to leave this terrifying star domain, suddenly, from the space-time boundary not far away, came numerous extremely powerful energy fluctuations and figures.
Before long, a full eight legendary experts appeared in the shocked Great Khan's perception.
Not much time had passed. Within an hour of Nostradamus's return and message transmission, everyone had arrived from the distant other end of the star river. This couldn't be called slow; in fact, it could be said to be very timely.
But now it seemed, it was still a bit late.
"Galannod, what's the situation now?"
The leader was Pope of the Seven Gods, Eagle. This kind old man now had a solemn expression. Behind him, countless light bubbles appeared, expanding and contracting, displaying a seven-colored spectrum. This proved that his power had been pushed to the extreme, ready to unleash his full strength at any moment: "I sense that the chaotic fluctuations have disappeared, but new space-time currents have appeared."
"And Joshua?"
Following closely was Nostradamus. Teleporting Joshua's heavy main body to the end of the world star river had nearly drained this legendary mage, even with the assistance of the Myriad Realms Sacrificial Ground, it couldn't reduce the consumption much. But now, the old mage also asked with confusion and some urgency: "How has his aura disappeared?"
Galannod originally had many things to say, but at this moment, she was speechless. She weakly pointed in a direction for the many reinforcing legendary experts, indicating where the warrior was now.
So, everyone turned their heads.
They saw the space-time storm, and at the center of the space-time storm, the 'world' that was still continuously contracting.
"Could it be... that Joshua self-destructed?"
Ocean Sage Faina widened her eyes in shock. As Joshua's academic exchange partner, Faina naturally knew the essence of Joshua's power and his theoretical final move: "He, he self-destructed his own world embryo, killing the Decay Evil God?!"
Although this guess was absurd, for some reason, all the legendary experts present showed varying degrees of agreement, clearly feeling that Faina's guess was correct, and that Joshua was indeed the kind of person who would do such a thing.
After all, it was Joshua.
"No, well, Joshua did self-destruct, but... sigh, in any case, he's fine, perfectly fine."
Nature Mentor originally wanted to explain, but due to too many thoughts and confusion, she couldn't figure out how to explain the sequence of events at all. Galannod could only give up explaining the process and directly state the result: "In short, the Decay Evil God was suppressed by us before it could revive, and Joshua even stopped the evil god's final counterattack, even creating the Azure Orb to completely purify the essence of the Decay Evil God's power... Then, he simply released his inner world and began 'rebirth'."
Rebirth was Joshua's term for the inevitable future of his body's world embryo. Not 'birth', but 'rebirth'. He believed that the opening of his inner world, whether for the world embryo composed of countless world wreckages, or for himself, was a brand new rebirth.
"The detailed process can be discussed later."
Eagle stopped Nature Mentor's narration. He looked around and said solemnly: "Regardless, Radcliffe has reached this step. We must now ensure that his 'rebirth' proceeds smoothly."
"Indeed."
"This is the truly important matter."
Sensing no trace of the evil god's aura, knowing they had arrived a step too late, the legendary experts nodded one after another. Although it was somewhat regrettable that they couldn't personally experience the power of the evil god, Joshua's advancement was equally important for the current Mycroft World.
After all, it was also the birth of a world. They too could benefit greatly from Joshua's advancement. Within the Mycroft World now, perhaps the lower-level forces still had conflicts and competition, but for those who had reached the legendary realm and embarked on their own path, resisting the coming evil gods was the most important thing.
Legendary experts, even if their advancement was imperfect and their life form not eternal, could easily live for eight hundred to a thousand years. But the invasion of the evil gods would arrive in about fifty years. If they still engaged in internal conflict now, no matter how enjoyable, it would only last fifty years at most. Compared to the long lifespan ahead, the experts would naturally cooperate sincerely.
At this moment, one more expert advancing meant one more hope for the future. No one would refuse this.
So, one could see, including Nature Mentor, a total of nine legendary experts entered the space-time storm, firmly guarding around the world where Joshua now was. Everyone protected him, ensuring the stability of the world itself.
Time passed.
After an unknown period of time, in the dark void, a light suddenly appeared.
It was the light of a star.
One could see, centered on the original sealed world, the edge of the entire world star river was illuminated by a striking silver flash, like lightning in the void, brief but impossible to ignore.
"He succeeded!"
"Very smooth."
"Of course, with nine legendary experts guarding him, who has such prestige?"
Because of the success, the tone of the legendary experts became much lighter, even joking. They still guarded before the silver world that had shrunk by one size, waiting for Joshua's awakening after rebirth.
But they did not know.
That flash of light was not only visible in the world star river where the Mycroft World was located.
At the moment the silver light appeared, in the vast void of the multiverse, countless world star rivers were stirred. Numerous powerful, weak, curious, and wary gazes suddenly turned, shooting toward that originally dark and dim place at the edge of the multiverse that could only emit dim red light. In tens of thousands of years, this might have been the first time they noticed that inconspicuous star domain.
The place of the ancient Lost Star River.
"That is the star river of the 'Great Wreckage'..."
"The red light that blocked everything has disappeared. The path to the Lost Star River has been opened?"
"No, perhaps it is a passage from the existence within the Lost Star River to the outside."
"The anomaly of the ancient battlefield has already occurred. This may herald something..."
Countless voices sounded simultaneously. Countless civilizations and intelligent beings fell into contemplation. The gazes of myriad worlds converged upon this place.
And at the same time.
At the core of the original sealed world, now the silver world.
Joshua opened his eyes.
