Chapter 45: That Is a Seal
In the sky above the Moldova Territory, an inconspicuous stream of light raced across the distant horizon. It skimmed low over the earth, only a few dozen meters above the ground, causing the frost-covered forests to shake violently, producing a rustling sound like the tide.
Snow and ice scattered to the ground. Finally, the stream of light landed on a hill. It had arrived!
The Steel Rain and World Serpent of the Carlis World, the Father of Nature and World Serpent of the Ilgena World—these all represented the most powerful and fundamental sources of power in different worlds. The Mycroft World was the world where Joshua lived; his cultivation of battle qi and the condensation of life energy all took place here, allowing him to observe things to their very essence.
As for the Bloodmoon Abyss, it was difficult to explain. But when he fought against Mandagar in that world, the warrior had indeed sensed a trace of a different aura. Perhaps that was the remnant Steel Force within the Bloodmoon Abyss?
Although there was no way to prove it yet, Joshua felt that this guess was the most plausible. In fact, the reason the warrior still couldn't reverse and sublimate life energy into Steel Force was precisely because his understanding of Steel Force was somewhat lacking. Even though he had gained some insight from his battle with He Er La Si, it was far from enough. If he could go to a fifth different world and carefully experience the subtle differences in how power manifested in each, then the warrior might indeed find a clue to advancing to the Legendary Realm.
Just as Joshua was feeling invigorated by his own speculation, a sentence from Verdani nearby completely captured his attention.
The warrior's body appeared to be listening to the female mage's narration, but his mind was actually pondering the issue of advancement. However, a remark Verdani had made not long ago caused Joshua to focus his mind, even furrowing his brow.
"Wait, Verdani. Are you saying that Brandon and the others chased into the ruins to eliminate those cultists?"
The warrior asked seriously, "When did this happen?"
"It's been a few hours now." Verdani was a bit puzzled by Joshua's change in reaction, but she still shrugged slightly and said, "I stayed outside and waited until I received Lord Sukrash's notification, which is why I came to check on the result of your battle with He Er La Si... Speaking of which, Joshua, your strength..."
The warrior didn't continue listening.
He furrowed his brow, looking worriedly into the distance, towards the direction of Mount Modess. Joshua said in an extremely serious tone, "No, Verdani. That is not a ruin."
"That is a seal."
