Chapter 34: High-Level Gods

Within the misty sea. Linley and his three companions were flying at extreme speed, barely able to see a hundred meters ahead. This sudden flash of purple light startled everyone.

A hundred meters away, given the speed of the purple light, there was no time to dodge.

"Bam!" A dull impact sound.

The purple light slammed fiercely into Bebe's abdomen. Bebe's entire body was instantly bent over from the impact. This rather thick purple light turned out to be a cluster of violet crystals. The impact force of this cluster of violet crystals actually sent Bebe hurtling backward for a short time, separating him from Linley and the others.

Olivia had originally been behind Bebe. Even Olivia was knocked back by the sudden collision. The violent impact caused Olivia's body to tremble, and a trace of blood seeped from his mouth.

"Bebe!" Linley and Delia both turned to look.

Bebe clutched his stomach, then followed the gravitational pull and flew back over. Olivia also followed the gravitational pull and flew back, level with Linley. Bebe grimaced and said, "Boss, the impact force of those violet crystals is really strong. It slammed into my stomach hard. It hurts so much!"

Olivia wiped the corner of his mouth in surprise.

A moment ago, a single violet crystal had easily pierced through Linley's body, and these violet crystals, under such immense gravity, were still shooting outward at incredible speed. Yet that cluster of violet crystals hitting Bebe's stomach hadn't injured him in the slightest.

Bebe was merely knocked back, colliding with Olivia, who was shaken until he coughed up blood. The impact force of those violet crystals was unimaginable! Linley, however, smiled and joked, "Bebe, you get a sore stomach, but you also get that cluster of violet crystals, right?" Linley naturally knew how formidable Bebe's physical defense was.

Olivia looked at Bebe in astonishment. "Bebe, the impact force of those violet crystals was so strong, how did you...?"

Bebe raised an eyebrow smugly. "What, surprised? Come on, who am I? I'm Bebe! Hey, Olivia, why are you standing off to the side? Get behind me." Bebe suddenly barked. Having witnessed what just happened, Olivia realized Bebe's strength and quickly moved behind him.

Linley and Delia were one pair, front and back, while Bebe and Olivia were another pair, front and back.

In this endless misty sea, Linley and the others couldn't resist the gravitational pull and could only move forward with it.

"A mountain peak!" Bebe exclaimed.

Linley turned to look as well. Sure enough, he saw a mountain peak abruptly rushing toward them.

A mountain peak crashing into them?

Linley twisted his body sharply, forcing himself to veer to the side. "Huh? How did I dodge that?" Linley was somewhat surprised. If a violet crystal had shot at him, he wouldn't have been able to react at all. In an instant, Linley realized, "This mountain peak is stationary!"

"We've reached the Violet Crystal Mountain Range. So we've been falling!"

Linley now understood their orientation.

Under the gravitational pull, Linley and the others were skimming past the mountain peak, falling at an extreme speed. Under such astonishing gravity, their descent speed was terrifying. Moreover, the mountain peak grew wider as it went down. Linley clearly saw a large rock suddenly appear before him.

No time to dodge!

"Bam!" Linley and the other three slammed heavily onto this rock halfway up the mountain. Even after hitting the mountainside, the incredible gravitational pull continued to drag them downward, causing them to roll down the slope.

Their bodies kept tumbling downward. The violent impact of Linley's head against the rock left him feeling dizzy.

"Delia!" Linley grabbed Delia, who was also rolling downward, and with his right hand, he seized a protruding rock, managing to halt himself on the mountainside.

Bebe also grabbed onto a rock and stopped rolling. As for Olivia, he continued rolling down until he was out of sight.

"Pant, pant!" Linley caught his breath and looked up at Bebe beside him. "Bebe, where's Olivia?"

"He fell down there," Bebe said quickly. "I didn't have time to grab him."

Linley glanced back at Delia. She seemed uninjured, which relieved him. He looked around. They were on the mountainside of a peak, still shrouded in white mist. Linley couldn't see the base of the mountain.

"Olivia probably rolled all the way to the bottom," Delia said. "Should we go down?"

"Yeah, let's go down." Linley could still feel the astonishing gravitational pull. "Be careful. This gravity is too strong. But the rocks of the Violet Crystal Mountain Range are incredibly tough." Linley grabbed a protruding rock and marveled. The rocks of the entire mountain range were a dark red color.

Earlier, Linley had slammed his head into the mountainside, yet the rock hadn't even cracked!

"Linley, look! Violet crystals!" Delia laughed. Scattered among the rocks on the mountainside were one or two violet crystals.

"This is called the Violet Crystal Mountain Range; there should be plenty of violet crystals," Bebe muttered. He punched the rock with all his might. The dark red rock only trembled slightly, with a tiny crack appearing. Bebe's eyes widened in shock. "I punched with all my strength, and I couldn't even break it open!"

With that, Bebe flipped his hand and produced the black dagger.

"Screech~" The black dagger sliced into the rock, creating a large fissure. Inside the rock, besides the dark red stone, there were scattered violet crystals.

"There really are violet crystals inside this rock," Bebe said with a grin, then shook his head. "But it's too troublesome. This dagger of mine can even cut through high-level divine artifacts, yet I can only carve a crack into this rock. And these violet crystals are embedded in the rubble; getting them out would be a hassle."

"Let's go. Forget about these violet crystals for now. Let's head down first."

Linley led the way downward.

The Violet Crystal Mountain Range was completely shrouded in white mist.

However, the true face of the Violet Crystal Mountain Range had never been described from the outside, because anyone who crossed the misty sea and set foot on the mountain range never escaped. Linley and the others were now standing on the mountain range, having even reached its base.

"The white mist seems thinner here!" Bebe said, looking around.

At the base, the mist density decreased, allowing Linley and the others to see about two hundred meters ahead.

"Olivia!" Linley spotted a figure not far away. "Bebe, Delia, let's go over."

Olivia was looking around anxiously, surrounded by the confusing white mist. He had rolled all the way down and then leaped up to land at the base. But he couldn't see anyone else, only a bloody, broken corpse.

"I'll wait here for Linley and the others." Olivia didn't wander off, knowing that in this mist, he might lose them.

"Olivia." Linley's voice rang out.

Olivia felt a surge of joy and immediately turned around. Linley, Delia, and Bebe were running toward him. In a place like this, having friends to rely on gave some confidence.

"Where is everyone else?" Bebe looked around casually, unconcerned.

"Don't worry," Linley said with a smile.

"Whoosh!" Suddenly, several figures fell from above at extreme speed.

"Bam!" "Bam!"... These figures couldn't stop and slammed violently into the ground. The dull impact sounds made it clear how intense the collisions were. Linley and the others watched the five newcomers.

Bebe covered his mouth and laughed.

These five had fallen hard, their faces bruised and bloodied. After a moment, they came to their senses, quickly used divine power to heal their wounds, and stood up.

"Four of you, did you also come from outside?" The green-haired man at the head of the five spoke.

"Of course we came from outside," Bebe replied with a grin. "We also fell from up there, just like you. But we were a bit luckier—we didn't crash into the ground." Bebe covered his mouth and laughed again.

The five's expressions darkened.

"Bebe," Linley scolded. Bebe was really good at stirring up trouble.

But the five didn't get too angry. In this unfamiliar place, sticking together was safer. They also noticed Delia, a high-level god demon, and their attitude toward Linley's group became friendlier.

Linley looked around. "Let's go. We can't stay here forever. Let's check out other places."

Linley and the other eight moved through the Violet Crystal Mountain Range. Before long, they encountered over a hundred people, all of whom had entered from the misty sea. Naturally, they banded together. This small group naturally took Delia as their leader.

Because she was the only high-level god!

A hundred or so people cautiously advanced through the mountain range.

"The gravity here is really strong. Even walking is exhausting," someone behind muttered.

"How strange. Even if a high-level god cast a 'Gravity Space,' the gravity would be at most this strong. But the entire Violet Crystal Mountain Range has this level of gravity. That's bizarre. No matter how powerful a high-level god is, they couldn't create such a large-scale Gravity Space."

Murmurs came from behind. Linley, walking at the front, agreed. The gravity was indeed astonishing.

"Huh?" Linley's expression changed. "Everyone, stop!" he shouted loudly. The hundred-plus people all halted.

"What's going on?" voices asked from behind.

But Linley was staring ahead. Two figures had just darted over. They stopped when they were only a few dozen meters away.

"So fast," Linley thought in surprise. "To maintain such speed under the gravity of the Violet Crystal Mountain Range, these two must be very strong."

The two hesitated for a moment, then approached. Both wore black robes—one was a silver-haired man, the other a brown-haired woman.

"Did you all come from outside?" the brown-haired woman said coldly.

"High-level gods?" Linley's group was shocked. Among those collecting violet crystals, there were almost no high-level gods. But these two were both high-level gods.

Linley was alarmed. "Who are these two?"

The brown-haired woman and silver-haired man both noticed Delia, especially the demon medal on her chest. The brown-haired woman quickly said, "My name is Garland. May I ask, high-level god demon, who are you?"

"My name is Delia," Delia said with a smile.

The silver-haired man also smiled. "Hello, Delia. I'm Jarrod! The Violet Crystal Mountain Range is very dangerous. Since you're a high-level god demon, why don't you join us? The three of us working together would have a better chance of survival."

"Survival?" Delia was taken aback.

Linley felt a chill. The situation was indeed dire!

"There's definitely danger in this Violet Crystal Mountain Range. Even these two high-level gods talk about survival..." Linley felt a wave of pressure. The group of mid-level gods behind him began to murmur and discuss. They weren't fools.

Hearing the silver-haired man's words, they understood that the mountain range was dangerous.

"Could I bring a few people with me if I join?" Delia asked.

"No," the brown-haired woman said firmly. "It's very dangerous now. We can't even guarantee our own safety, so how can we bring along burdens? Delia, make your choice quickly. If you join us alone, the three of us working together might get through this crisis."

"No, thank you," Delia refused with a shake of her head.

The two high-level gods were stunned.

"If you stay with them, they'll only drag you down and get you killed too!" the silver-haired man, Jarrod, urged.

"Hey, why are you wasting your breath?" Bebe shouted in dissatisfaction. "So what if she doesn't join you?"

The silver-haired man glared at Bebe.

"No, thank you for your kind offer," Delia declined.

The silver-haired man and brown-haired woman exchanged a glance and shook their heads.

"Since you won't, fine. But let me warn you," the brown-haired woman said, looking at Delia. "Beware of the violet crystal monsters!" With that, she and the silver-haired man darted away and vanished into the white mist.
