Chapter 407: Xing Han's Box
"Tonic?"
Xing Han was momentarily stunned. Suddenly, his chest exploded, and ribs tore out from his flesh. His flesh seemed to reject his own ribs, a horrifying sight. At the same time, the divine blood within him began to leak out, and then one of his legs uncontrollably detached from his body!
"You gave me a tonic? Not poison?"
He finally showed panic, but then another head fell to the ground, its eyes, ears, and nose all rolling off together.
Scattered eyes, noses, and tongues bounced and hopped on the ground, trying to return to the head, but as soon as they touched it, they fell off again, unable to reattach.
Emperor Yanfeng, Blind, and the others saw hope and immediately attacked him. Xing Han raised a hand to grab the Dragon Tuo Divine Spear Blind thrust at him, but the moment he seized the spear shaft, his entire arm flew off along with the spear!
He blocked Emperor Yanfeng's punch, but his spine suddenly slid out from his body. His spine wasn't his own either; it was a divine bone.
"It can't be a tonic, it can't be a tonic!"
Xing Han panicked. Granny Si suddenly struck his chest with a palm, using Li Tianxing's Great Luo Heavenly Star Palm Force, piercing through his chest.
His heart leaped out of his chest cavity, bounced on the ground twice.
"How can this be a tonic?"
Xing Han still refused to die, desperately fending off the siege, growing more terrified.
A tonic should only make him stronger—how could it cause his body to split apart?
Bang bang bang—
His entire body suddenly exploded, blood spraying in all directions, gushing profusely. His divine blood, obtained from another expert, was not from the same body as his heart and the rest of him, and the blood rejected every part of his body.
"What poison did you give me?"
His severed head flew up from the ground and lunged at Qin Mu. Qin Mu had no time to dodge, but at that moment, Cripple rushed over with hands flying like wheels, leaped up, and grabbed the head, shouting, "Give me back my leg!"
The head roared, blasting Cripple away, but Cripple flew back and tangled with the head again.
A leg sprinted across the ground toward Qin Mu. Deaf threw his brush with all his might, the large brush sweeping past Qin Mu and sweeping the leg into a painting.
Deaf fell flat on his back, gasping for breath. He had used all his strength to draw a single picture: a fierce tiger.
In the painting, a white-browed, green-eyed tiger ran wildly with the leg in its mouth.
Qin Mu breathed a sigh of relief. The medicine he had given Xing Han was indeed a tonic, a genuine, potent tonic.
Poisoning Xing Han to death was nearly impossible. Whether even a master pharmacist could manage it was questionable; Qin Mu certainly couldn't refine such a rare poison.
Xing Han had beaten Blind, Deaf, Cripple, Li Tianxing, Emperor Yanfeng, and other incredibly powerful beings until they were helpless. The Empress Dowager and her experts hadn't lasted a single round before collapsing.
He was undoubtedly far stronger than Huan Longjun. Qin Mu had used his own Three Breach Powder to poison Huan Longjun, but it only caused him considerable trouble, not death. So poisoning was definitely not the best strategy.
Moreover, Xing Han was also skilled in medicine, able to swap his own body parts. His medical expertise was among the best in the world, so poison would easily be detected by him.
For a physician of Qin Mu's caliber, killing an opponent was an art form, and poison wasn't always necessary.
Xing Han was terrifyingly strong, but his weakness was obvious: his body parts were all taken from other experts, not originally his own, making them prone to rejection.
The Pharmacist had once taught Qin Mu that the human body has a self-defense system (immune defense mechanism). Transplanting another person's organs causes the original body to see them as foreign invaders that must be eliminated.
This was the reason for Xing Han's body rejecting itself.
The Pharmacist had also taught Qin Mu that many diseases, like colds and plagues, arise from a weakened self-defense system and can be cured by strengthening the body's own defenses to eliminate the disease.
Combining these two principles, Qin Mu's strategy against Xing Han was to refine a powerful tonic that would amplify the rejection reaction between every part of his body, pushing it to the extreme!
As the only youth of the Crippled Village, Qin Mu had received the strictest upbringing since childhood, enduring the torment of the Nine Elders. His family discipline was rigorous, deeply ingraining every elder's teachings and fine traditions into his heart, making them his code of conduct.
The Pharmacist, with his noble character, believed that being a pharmacist was an art form. There was no fixed boundary between tonic and poison; poison could be a life-saving medicine, and a tonic could be a deadly toxin.
When Qin Mu had been refining pills to heal the flood dragons earlier, he had made this very kind of potent tonic. Using Dragon Qilin's dragon saliva as a base, he added various powerful tonic ingredients and fed them to the flood dragons.
After taking the pills, the flood dragons' wounds healed rapidly, muscles regrew, and broken bones and tendons regenerated on their own.
When Qin Mu used the Dragon Control Art to lead the flood dragons into battle, Xing Han's flying arms attacked these dragons. The powerful tonic then invaded Xing Han's arms through contact, spread through his heart, and reached every part of his body.
Qin Mu had administered the strongest medicine. Even the flood dragons' grievous wounds healed instantly. When the tonic entered Xing Han's body, its effects amplified his rejection reaction countless times!
Poison couldn't kill him, but the tonic caused him to disintegrate. This was the medical art the Pharmacist had taught Qin Mu.
Yu Zhaoqing, the Empress Dowager, and the others suppressed their injuries and joined the attack. Xing Han's body was torn apart. Several heads flew up from the ground, shouting, "You think this can kill me? You're too naive!"
His scattered body parts suddenly launched a fierce attack on everyone. But without the support of his main body, his magical power was far weaker than before. His divine apertures, also taken from others, had now been stripped from his body, dispersing his power and rendering any attack far less potent.
Even so, he was still incredibly strong. The sight of heads, legs, and eyeballs flying everywhere was truly terrifying and hair-raising.
Suddenly, several legs sprinted and landed beneath his box. The legs pushed off, leaping into the air.
"He's trying to escape!"
Cripple's hands flew like wheels, using them as legs to rush over and grab two of the legs, shouting, "Give me back my leg!"
The box opened, and the other heads and eyes flew over, attacking Cripple.
Emperor Yanfeng roared, spitting out a blood arrow that transformed into a blood dragon soaring into the sky. He leaped onto the blood dragon and charged toward the box in the air.
Blind propped his spear with both hands, leaped into the air, and the Dragon Tuo Divine Spear suddenly twisted its body, supporting him as he rushed toward the box.
Granny Si, Yu Zhaoqing, the Empress Dowager, and the others used their various techniques to fly into the air and intercept the box.
Bang.
Emperor Yanfeng fell heavily to the ground, coughing up blood repeatedly.
Then Cripple also fell, but he stubbornly held onto the two legs, refusing to let go. Qin Mu quickly ran over, reaching out to catch him, but his own injuries flared up, causing him to stumble. Cripple fell just short of his hands, hitting the ground with a tremor.
"Mu'er, you're unfilial..." Cripple bounced up and then fell again, rolling his eyes and fainting, but still clutching the two legs tightly.
Qin Mu scratched his head, thinking, "If I had used the Dragon Control Art to command those flood dragons, I could have been faster..."
He immediately activated the Dragon Control Art. The many flood dragons, suppressing their injuries, swam toward him.
Bang bang bang.
Experts kept falling from the sky. Emperor Yanfeng struggled to his feet, saw the Empress Dowager also falling, and stumbled over to catch her, only to be crushed and cough up blood again.
By the time Qin Mu borrowed the flood dragons' power, Yu Zhaoqing also fell from the air. He moved to catch her, but saw her clothes transform into scales and feathers that vibrated rapidly, slowing her fall.
Qin Mu stopped. Yu Zhaoqing suddenly lost her strength, the scales and feathers stopped fluttering, and she fell with a thud. Qin Mu was too late to catch her.
Only Granny Si and Blind remained in the air, besieging the box. Qin Mu quickly leaped into the air. The flood dragons on him were severely wounded and wouldn't last long before falling off. He had to finish this quickly.
The battle in the air was bizarre. Granny Si and Blind, both heavily injured, stood on top of the box, fending off attacks from all directions.
The attackers were Xing Han's body parts: divine eyes shooting divine light, a flying skullcap like a bowl, fists, legs, even his heart, liver, spleen, lungs, kidneys, and skin and hair—all attacking them.
This kind of strange attack was unheard of!
Blind spun wildly, the black dragon coiling around him, desperately defending. Granny Si, surprisingly, became the strongest fighter, using the Great Luo Heavenly Star Palm Force to repel the divine hands, legs, and heads that attacked.
Qin Mu raced toward the aerial battlefield, moving incredibly fast, speeding past an eye.
Swish.
The eye vanished. Then, a flood dragon detached from Qin Mu, grabbed the eye, and sped away, getting as far from the box as possible. The farther away, the weaker Xing Han's control, making it harder for him to retrieve his body parts.
Qin Mu turned back, using the Heaven-Stealing Divine Hand to grab another eyeball flying in mid-air shooting divine light. Another flood dragon took the second eye away.
He ran wildly through the air, "stealing" legs, hearts, and skullcaps surrounding the box, having the flood dragons carry them far away.
As Qin Mu lost more and more flood dragons, his speed gradually slowed. Suddenly, strands of hair flew toward him like a black rainstorm!
"Mu'er, be careful!"
Granny Si and Blind quickly flew in front of him. Granny Si cupped her palms and pushed them forward against the black rain. Countless strands of hair flew back like black needles, embedding themselves into the box with a series of sharp sounds.
Blind thrust his spear, piercing the box with a bang. A tremendous force erupted from within the box, forcing the Dragon Tuo Divine Spear back. The other body parts immediately swarmed into the box through the hole.
The box shot into the sky!
Blind started to give chase but grunted, his injuries flaring up, nearly falling from the air.
The box was incredibly fast, covering a thousand miles in an instant. Just then, a booming voice rang out: "Horizontal and vertical, vast and boundless!"
A horizontal and a vertical blade of light flashed across the sky, then vanished into darkness.
"One Line Sky!"
